**TW for mentions of grooming, no specifics** I'm not exactly an expert on the situation, as I tend to stay away from the details, but I believe that Colleen Ballinger, also known as Miranda Sings on multiple platforms, was accused of grooming children online and sending inappropriate messages to them. Instead of not adressing/ignoring the issue until she had legal advice or posting a genuine apology that DID address the issue, she instead made the decision to make a ukulele song that was formatted like an apology and completely mocked the situation, Invalidated the victims involved, and successfully offended and horrified anyone old enough to understand the gravity of the situation and lose a large amount of her audience in one fell swoop. It's a really awful and frankly horrifying situation, but most of the internet is now coping through humor in videos like these to mock her and bash her-which she totally deserves- because it's honestly all we can do at this point.
