Meanwhile, Ace is asking Don Lane real questions and asking him where he grew up, and just human stuff. WOW...Ace steals the show without trying to. He's just real. Gene on the other hand...laughable in all the wrong ways. lol
Ace is always the best and yeah Ace always hit it off with people and of course Gene has to try and steal the focus away. Ace forever. Thank you for the upload!
That version of "I Was Made for Lovin' You" is my reason to live.
I LOOOVVVEEEDED IT!
MattCraftDotDerp sounds cheesey compared to the original
Yeah it was really catchy and good
How nice that Don and Ace went to the same high school.
Dynasty was my favorite outfits.
I grew up watching "The Don Lane Show" and i remember this moment. Live TV in Australia was so different to what we get nowdays (all "scripted reality" and DIY rubbish) that our younglings don't realise that variety TV was so huge in the 70s and 80s. The USA still does it but it's not really as entertaining since it's all taped in advance and can be edited - when we did it, it was warts and all live transmission.
I always loved Kiss only because of ACE. Ace is GOD !!!
Damon Z. King. Not Paul?
I just watched this video again just to make sure. I got it right the first time. ACE = YUMMY
Original band was phenomenal⚡️
Kinda sad they don’t get along anymore ...
Gene was actually having fun here! Ace is GREAT!
Don Lane must have been a tall man. Even with the platform boots they still weren't much taller than him.
Love this - thanks so much for posting!
Gene was so thin..... Hotness!!
Good seeing you again Ace.... Missing you in the band - Kiss is not the same without you hun!!
It’s nice to see a vid where Ace and Gene get along
i just drank for every time ace shook Don's hand... im hammmmmmered LOL
I came when he shook his hand.. I also came when Gene flicked out his tounge
i can't get over how crisp and clear the picture is on this...i mean, i know it's only 1980 but it doesn't look like the clip has aged much...
I have to say that Gene looks so much better with make-up then without.
YUP
Thanks for posting this piece of Aussie TV history! Ace is tanked and Gene.... well Gene is just being Gene
Ace wants the drink and Gene wants the young girl.
What a great FIND 😁🤘
I love spaceman he is the coolest in the world i am a biggest fan of kiss
4:26 "Alright steal the show, go ahead".
I love that Ace just wanted to have a chat with Don, and just happened to find out that they went to the same school! Say what you will about his work ethic, or anything else...he was REAL!
Gene straight up pulls/shoves Ace out of the way at 4:33 and Ace just goes along with it. Wonder if that happened often?
Just brings back so many great memories, Those were the Days.
Ace stole the show
