He lost his master, the padawan he loved like a son passed to the dark side and tried to kill him, the only girl he loved was killed by the same guy that killed his master, but he never felt on hatred and always respected the jedi code. Obi Wan is the best Star Wars character so far. Its impossible to hate that character.
But then again he has his flaws like leaving anakin mom a slave, teaching anakin to suppress his emotions (which we all know where that lead to), and trick Luke in trying to killing his own father without telling Luke the truth. But overall, he still a badass!
@@gerardomiranda1491 He made mistakes, because he isn't perfect, that makes him more human character. And he admitted that mistake when he told Anakin "i have failed you". His worst mistake was mistrust of Anakin everytime.

I would say the beginning to his grand saga is actually way before that, I don’t want to be that guy but there’s actually an entire book series based on kenobi starting out as a padawon and how he got chosen by qui gon Jin and their adventures together.
Wasn’t Obi-wan also like too old to be a para wan? I remember reading that he was like 12 or something and still hadn’t been chosen by a master. Qui-gonn watched him spar and realized how angry and wild Obi-wan was and decided he needed to be the one to train him or something. It’s been a long time

Obi's story is so sad. He was a true Jedi. He lost everyone he ever loved and never turned to the dark side. Never even tempted. And he lost his master, he had to fight his student who was like his little brother to the death. The love of his life was murdered right I'm front of him. The order that he put his whole life into was destroyed.
And in the end he just dies to the one he put so much love into, and it tears into Luke, losing him, but honestly Luke, turning his back on the force, and way of the Jedi, in the sequels ruins his character, like i see him as another true Jedi.

This video sums up nicely one man's journey. Obi-Wan went through literal hell having lost so much, but he still remained on the light side in the end. But you can tell he had so much regret, especially for Anakin. And this music went very well with it. Now I really need to watch Jujutsu Kaisen. Lol
He was literally the opposite of Vader, he lost things he loved but stayed true to his ideals and found new things to care about. He focused on the good in his life and it kept him sane probably. Luke and Leia were his purpose, his reason to keep fighting.

Firstly its not a series, it's an anthology of one shot stories, with a different anime studio taking the wheel every episode I'm given to understand. Lastly my point is that Disney used to be an animation studio themselves, used to famous for it and world class at that, hell not alot of people today realize that we have anime today because post WWII Japanese artists were inspired by American animation, especially Disney, and it lead to the birth of anime. But Disney has abandoned animation, the very thing that made them famous, because they don't want to be seen as a animation company anymore, its why everything and anything that they make that is not live action is the computer generated movie and shows , and they don't even do that themselves, its Pixar that does that. So what I was saying rings true , only Disney would ignore animation of this quality and relegate it to a handful of short stories between commercials. They would not be probably even doing this anime anthology if not for the fact that anime and manga are getting more popular by the day and embarrassing its western counterparts, and hope some of that success will spur more people to get Disney + .

The transition from Obi Wan, fighting dooku, with Anakin, to Obi Wan, fighting Anakin, is just so emotional it gets me in the feels everytime i see it in these fan anime opening
It’s incredible to think that Obi Wan wasn’t as skilled as other padawans when he was younger. He managed to be one of the most complete Jedi by sheer hard work and devotion to the Jedi Code. Even defeating the very skilled and naturally talented in the force Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One himself in a duel to the death and later on beat him once again when he became Darth Vader. Even head masters like Windu and Yoda said that Obi Wan was an extraordinary Jedi in combat, due to his mastery of the third form called Soresu aka the Absolute Defense form. Even when he is an old man, he destroyed Darth Maul with only one strike after blocking the same tactic that killed his master Qui Gon. Obi Wan is the perfect Jedi 100%.
Some fans believe (self included) that he abandoned Ataru after seeing Qui Gon get defeated by Maul. The event probably traumatized him so much he put all his effort in boosting his defense, ultimately mastering Soresu.
This whole video is a masterpiece but for some reason 1:15 - 1:26 just hits me in the gut with chills and melancholy seeing leia ask the old master for help as her only hope with Obi-Wan reigniting his lightsaber for the last time as an old man finally finishing what was started all those years ago. IM SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THIS CHARACTER

It's pretty amazing how even little changes can drastically improve a character. More yellow to the eyes, some noticeable battle damage, and suddenly Grevious looks far more intimidating. Hopefully GoA does a full 'episode' on their fight.
100% agreed, it's so upsetting that this has one of the lowest view counts too because it's so well done I think it's mostly because Kaikai Kitan and Jujutsu Kaisen are both relatively new (highly recommend JJK by the way, it's really good), but I really wanna see this blow up
because animation can be so much smoother then acting it could be a perfect show to really capture some of the fights, shame that it would never be real

It’s incredible to think that Obi Wan wasn’t as skilled as other padawans when he was younger. He managed to be one of the most complete Jedi by sheer hard work and devotion to the Jedi Code. Even defeating the very skilled and naturally talented in the force Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One himself in a duel to the death and later on beat him once again when he became Darth Vader. Even head masters like Windu and Yoda said that Obi Wan was an extraordinary Jedi in combat, due to his mastery of the third form called Soresu aka the Absolute Defense form. Even when he is an old man, he destroyed Darth Maul with only one strike after blocking the same tactic that killed his master Qui Gon. Obi Wan is the perfect Jedi 100%.
Some fans believe (self included) that he abandoned Ataru after seeing Qui Gon get defeated by Maul. The event probably traumatized him so much he put all his effort in boosting his defense, ultimately mastering Soresu.
This whole video is a masterpiece but for some reason 1:15 - 1:26 just hits me in the gut with chills and melancholy seeing leia ask the old master for help as her only hope with Obi-Wan reigniting his lightsaber for the last time as an old man finally finishing what was started all those years ago. IM SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THIS CHARACTER

Look up the openings to Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Owl House, etc, they don't _need_ anime for that.
Heck Gravity Falls even has a Weirdmeggdon variant, sort of like the villain versions of the Jojo's openings except the _ENTIRE_ intro is changed, even the theme song is altered.

This is like one of the singular best AMVs I've seen in years and it's plucking Star Wars.
It's pretty amazing how even little changes can drastically improve a character. More yellow to the eyes, some noticeable battle damage, and suddenly Grevious looks far more intimidating.
Hopefully GoA does a full 'episode' on their fight.
