I was in that burnout stage of 76 but with all the new player I placed my camp mear wayward and I'm gearing the newbies up and giving some advice or answering their questions makes me feel all good inside seeing people enjoy 76 nowadays (even tho is was pretty bad starting off) glad people can just have fun now
I think my biggest issue with fallout 76 is how mandatory build crafting is. I don’t like the idea of having to swap out perks all the time based on what I’m doing in game. I’d prefer a basic leveling up system, level up more and become stronger, I also don’t care for the power matching to an extent, sure it’s not entirely bad but a level 50 shouldn’t have to fight level 50 ghouls at the very beginning of the game in front of vault 76
I've only been playing 76 for a couple weeks now, but I'm really enjoying it. The alien event is exciting, but man sometimes the high level players can ruin the fun. It is ok to NOT melt the boss as quick as possible --.--. Sometimes I don't even see the boss or mini bosses before a couple lv.1000+ players melt them.
Get a gun. Take a shot. Get XP. Noob. One day you will be begging high level players to join your events, and we will be at our base eating popcorn. Try doing that event by yourself😂. It's not my fault I one shot everything.

Being on the same team as the person who kills an enemy also gives you half the XP if you havent touched it either...and casual teams boost XP already with the INT buff, so I always recommend teaming up with the locals to secure your leveling
What you dont pay attention is, every events have timer or things to protect. On easy events, I let lower level tag or melee players (no matter what level) to do their thing. But the higher levels cant keep on doing that if things will be broken or time runs out. Are you aware that the rewards differ if we dont do the objectives as perfect as possible? Even failing the event We've all been there. Just enjoy the map/lore and focus on getting better gear. Ya'll lucky you didnt experience legacy era. One person destroy everything and the rest of us, no matter what level, cant do anything Getting legendary loot are also easy now because its about proximity. Back then I HAVE to tag the legendary enemy or I can kiss my legendary loot goodbye. Doing events can feel like a waste What im trying to say is, its not that big a deal when you're still low level and cant do much yet. Its just natural order. There are objectives that needed to be done. We cant wait around just so you can get your kill.
Started playing heavy a year and a half ago...I play daily it is my goto. I log in and do my daily and weekly and play the events. Really glad to see new content. This game is a grind but so fun.
My favorite is when they add new questline's with rewards and bosses, I would love to see more faction's with the reputation system. Also wish they could do some stuff with other modes as well like making all camp slots active at the same time in custom worlds and bringing back nuclear winter or another pvp dedicated mode.
I think the update upgraded the blue screen bug on PlayStation, now it’s affecting Expeditions Can’t even speed run them cause it’s guaranteed I will crash
first time i exit the vault in 76 a player gave me 308 sniper rifle with 150 rounds the community is nice it my not be on first place. but its nice to play the expeditions and with friends after school

I got the update yesterday and it was only 20 GB, I get up this morning and it’s telling me that it is 128.7 GB, I have had to delete the game and reinstall it twice now because it keeps doing it and it’s not updating the actual update
I'm so glad I got back into it after the show came out, its so nice seeing how populated the game is both with new and veteran players. I'm glad to see the game still going strong, and I hope because of this big surge of players Bethesda keeps the game going for a long while.
They nerfed alien balsters and alien disintigrator cryo and poison mags on the same day they dropped the alien event and didn't even mention it in the patch notes. Majorly incompetent dev team.
I'm one of the new players. I played fallout 4 like 6 years ago and really liked it. Didn't play this game because of all the bad reviews and all that. I'm now about 3 weeks in, hit level 25 and have spent some money lol. I love this game. It might go down as one of my favorite games of all time. I'm taking it slow and really ingesting everything. A event from 2022 isn’t a new update, it’s filler until Skyline Valley. Also most of the update is future atomic shop items. Union PA is still bugged and cannot be bought or crafted.
You did what you had to do, been there and had to take a long time away. Now can start over but still use my character high enough to make it through but still have lots of things to do 😊

Well, we can see where all the work that was expected to go into Fallout 4 really went 😀This is definitely a really nice update. I do find it funny how excited you are about the QoL updates in a live service game that should be getting them constantly and your enthusiasm is contagious. For any who are new to the franchise, I would say that expectations need to be tempered. This is an older and GOOD game. It is and always will be a bit too buggy and jankey to be an "excellent" game. That is why it sits at a mostly positive score on Steam even considering only recent reviews. Having said that, this IS a testament to the dev team's hard work as the launch was a disaster and the pay for convenience elements are still quite significant. As mentioned though, the sheer amount of content, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the community is amazing! The kindness and generosity of the player base is so well known that there are memes about it.

Bad launch leaves a bad first impression, and in a sea of options people won't stick around to see it get better. It was incumbent on Bethesda to turn it around, and I honestly think they did a pretty good job. More like CDPR redemption, and less like Hello Games, IMO

Speaking of needed fixes... I live within blocks of the South River(Bridge area) grew up only several hundred yards from The Shenandoah National Park. This is between the real life towns of Crimora(Old Mines area) and Elkton(Naked Creek area). The whole area is all located in Virginia, NOT West Virginia.
This update is trash they need to revert it bad. They fixed like 5 things and broke 10 to 15 other things that had no problems. Not to mention that they nerfed the best weapon they've released in the last 3 years (the cremator) that weapon was perfect just the way it was. Now it takes half the mag to kill anything.
Does it also boggle your mind that the same day Fallout 76 saw a million players in a single day, Fallout 4 saw twice, or more than that? Bethesda is SHILLING Fallout 76 to new players because they want that live-service money, so they are ignoring the REAL news... which is that people want a Fallout: New Vegas 2, or Fallout 5... not Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 still rough as hell, jank as hell, and they absolutely have not turned it around. Union Power Armor still broken, can't buy the plans, can't craft if it you already own the plans. Been like this over 6 months. Limits on everything, log in play for 10 minutes and log out, that's all it is now for anyone who has played it already and finished the story. Its a joke honestly. It has potential still, but I don't think Bethesda care about it or more importantly ABOUT US enough to make it anything close to what it could be.
@@recur9245 Most days its not more than 10 minute, some days its a little more some days a little less. Most right around 10. Maybe it take you 20-25 the day weeklies reset if you want to pound them all out back to back. Its a shame man, I want to play the game, but I also want to be rewarded for doing so, but with all the daily/weekly caps on everything (including the caps cap!) there is no reason to play. Only so many times you can do the same thing over and over with no reward. Today I log in for my dailies, drink 3 nuka cola, eat 5 prewar foods, kill 3 anglers, build 5 wall decorations, kill 10 blood eagle, kill 10 cultists, plant 5 foods, earn 250 caps, do an event. Most of my time spent fast traveling from anglers, to blood eagles to cultists to the train station vendorbot and then I'm done. Then I notice it almost top of the hour so I do the alien invasion event, and drop everything for the newbies, then log out. Probably 20 minutes because of the event and waiting a couple minutes for it to start.

HONEST REVIEW for a new player in 2024. In short the game is awesomenow in April- May 2024 BUT BUT... In 2 weeks I powered to level 100 doing mostly event, a few main and side missions as well. Needless to say i got a good overall picture and engement. I realised this game is like I jumped from a helicopter into the middle of the ocean without knowing how to swim. (Which i really don't know how to). I agree there is much to do, go, see, and explore ... the map is alive and interactive... BUT BUT there's a flip side to that Unless you buy fallout 1st to get an unlimited stash size AND CREATE your own custom world to make the game more simple/ fun/ less grinding... you'll be in for a very frustrating grinding experience. The problem is its too grinding to just enjoy half an hour or an hour without worrying about repairing stuff or drinking stuff or eating stuff and counting your bullets. It's very hard to solo the game unless you spend a lot of time to level up your XP to a god tier (bloodied) build and PLAY and PLAN towards the end game meta. You need to know what you're doing with your perks cards, perk points, legendery cards, mutations, food/aid items... know about armour, weapons and craft and grind a lot for stuff like flux, treasury notes, bullion... getting caps for plans, finding plans, getting resources to fix everything you use to play. You need other people for events to really get end game loot/ materials... you need to launch nukes in certain areas and that requires some doing... but even if it's easy for the experienced and long green player... when you get there you'll still need a few people to take down the scortched queen beast for example. Everything breaks, everything needs fixing, you gotta find plans for everything, crafting legendery takes a lot of farming of PUBLIC events and the craft effects are RANDOM , you don't get to keep or attach the crafted module... you have to re roll it 10000 times for the 3 star legendery effect you want. Trust me there's not enough time in your life to roll ALL of the 3 star legendery effect you want. Fallout 1st is the only solution to either play in A CUSTOM WORLD to turn off the grinding and put a lot of stuff to easy, free, god mode, more damage etc. That way you can focus on the story. Not everyone wants to pay $20 a month subscription to have a couple of hours of fun on the weekend and very few want to grind for materials to fix their weapon and gear breaking or worry about food and water. It takes itself too seriously in a short attention span world with infinite other - micro transaction or online subscription service - games trying to grab your attention and wallet. If you don't mind being unemployed to put in full time hours to not just play but find everything and fix everything... then you've got a game you can play easily for 5-10 years. This is probably why the game is still kicking... thy end game is a constant grind YOLO RNG to get the loot, gear or legendary effects you want. PLEASE BETHESDA... package it as a SINGLE PLAYER - let's us customise the world without the grinding, easier to play it solo i.e. solo events. You can release the MAIN story and current or future additions as DLC.
I have 500 hours on ps5 just picked this gem up on pc running through it again pretty fun starting fresh especially when I have all the knowledge from my other account.
Honestly? I'm sick of all these new players coming to the game. They're constantly making events fail, just because they decided, that it's good idea to start the event, with just them and 1 high lvl player there. And I'm also sick of all the damn free loaders that come with them, constantly asking for a handout in every single group on fb and reddit. Not even willing to play the game like everyone else, but want all the best stuff straight from the start.

Am on ps5 but honestly I got no one to run this game I wanna get back in it I haven't beaten any dlc or expansion nor the basic search for the overseer I just explored and leveled up and level 100+ look for people to play with on ps5
I just came back to 76 i can't get into the 4.but i bought it anyways just because.

I’m just amazed it took people one season of a show to actually play Fallout, like why did it take so long?
Bad launch leaves a bad first impression, and in a sea of options people won't stick around to see it get better. It was incumbent on Bethesda to turn it around, and I honestly think they did a pretty good job. More like CDPR redemption, and less like Hello Games, IMO
I think people will just like the game now just because the show was so good so people get it in their head that they're going to enjoy the game more xD

Speaking of needed fixes... I live within blocks of the South River(Bridge area) grew up only several hundred yards from The Shenandoah National Park. This is between the real life towns of Crimora(Old Mines area) and Elkton(Naked Creek area). The whole area is all located in Virginia, NOT West Virginia.

This update is trash they need to revert it bad. They fixed like 5 things and broke 10 to 15 other things that had no problems. Not to mention that they nerfed the best weapon they've released in the last 3 years (the cremator) that weapon was perfect just the way it was. Now it takes half the mag to kill anything.

Does it also boggle your mind that the same day Fallout 76 saw a million players in a single day, Fallout 4 saw twice, or more than that? Bethesda is SHILLING Fallout 76 to new players because they want that live-service money, so they are ignoring the REAL news... which is that people want a Fallout: New Vegas 2, or Fallout 5... not Fallout 76.

After update, game crashes frequently, server keeps disconnecting, lag is very bad. It's update is almost as bad as Fallout 4 remastered which was pretty catastrophic.

I’ll be impressed when they fix the crashing issues instead of diddling around nerfing non-op weapons like the alien blaster and the cryolator and ruining peoples’ builds.

No not really 76 is not a great game. And saying 76 is a great game for new players speaks to how bad it is. 76 is a good game for you haven’t spent a lot of time playing it.

Fallout 76 still rough as hell, jank as hell, and they absolutely have not turned it around. Union Power Armor still broken, can't buy the plans, can't craft if it you already own the plans. Been like this over 6 months. Limits on everything, log in play for 10 minutes and log out, that's all it is now for anyone who has played it already and finished the story.
Its a joke honestly. It has potential still, but I don't think Bethesda care about it or more importantly ABOUT US enough to make it anything close to what it could be.

@@recur9245 Most days its not more than 10 minute, some days its a little more some days a little less. Most right around 10. Maybe it take you 20-25 the day weeklies reset if you want to pound them all out back to back.
Its a shame man, I want to play the game, but I also want to be rewarded for doing so, but with all the daily/weekly caps on everything (including the caps cap!) there is no reason to play. Only so many times you can do the same thing over and over with no reward.
Today I log in for my dailies, drink 3 nuka cola, eat 5 prewar foods, kill 3 anglers, build 5 wall decorations, kill 10 blood eagle, kill 10 cultists, plant 5 foods, earn 250 caps, do an event. Most of my time spent fast traveling from anglers, to blood eagles to cultists to the train station vendorbot and then I'm done. Then I notice it almost top of the hour so I do the alien invasion event, and drop everything for the newbies, then log out.
Probably 20 minutes because of the event and waiting a couple minutes for it to start.

I wanted to play after edgerunners but I didn't think it was preem until Phantom liberty. So I didn't really care for the updates until that one
HONEST REVIEW for a new player in 2024.
In short the game is awesomenow in April- May 2024 BUT
BUT...
In 2 weeks I powered to level 100 doing mostly event, a few main and side missions as well. Needless to say i got a good overall picture and engement.
I realised this game is like I jumped from a helicopter into the middle of the ocean without knowing how to swim. (Which i really don't know how to).
I agree there is much to do, go, see, and explore ... the map is alive and interactive... BUT
BUT there's a flip side to that
Unless you buy fallout 1st to get an unlimited stash size AND CREATE your own custom world to make the game more simple/ fun/ less grinding... you'll be in for a very frustrating grinding experience.
The problem is its too grinding to just enjoy half an hour or an hour without worrying about repairing stuff or drinking stuff or eating stuff and counting your bullets.
It's very hard to solo the game unless you spend a lot of time to level up your XP to a god tier (bloodied) build and PLAY and PLAN towards the end game meta.
You need to know what you're doing with your perks cards, perk points, legendery cards, mutations, food/aid items... know about armour, weapons and craft and grind a lot for stuff like flux, treasury notes, bullion... getting caps for plans, finding plans, getting resources to fix everything you use to play.
You need other people for events to really get end game loot/ materials... you need to launch nukes in certain areas and that requires some doing... but even if it's easy for the experienced and long green player... when you get there you'll still need a few people to take down the scortched queen beast for example.
Everything breaks, everything needs fixing, you gotta find plans for everything, crafting legendery takes a lot of farming of PUBLIC events and the craft effects are RANDOM , you don't get to keep or attach the crafted module... you have to re roll it 10000 times for the 3 star legendery effect you want. Trust me there's not enough time in your life to roll ALL of the 3 star legendery effect you want.
Fallout 1st is the only solution to either play in A CUSTOM WORLD to turn off the grinding and put a lot of stuff to easy, free, god mode, more damage etc. That way you can focus on the story.
Not everyone wants to pay $20 a month subscription to have a couple of hours of fun on the weekend and very few want to grind for materials to fix their weapon and gear breaking or worry about food and water.
It takes itself too seriously in a short attention span world with infinite other - micro transaction or online subscription service - games trying to grab your attention and wallet.
If you don't mind being unemployed to put in full time hours to not just play but find everything and fix everything... then you've got a game you can play easily for 5-10 years. This is probably why the game is still kicking... thy end game is a constant grind YOLO RNG to get the loot, gear or legendary effects you want.
PLEASE BETHESDA... package it as a SINGLE PLAYER - let's us customise the world without the grinding, easier to play it solo i.e. solo events. You can release the MAIN story and current or future additions as DLC.
I have 500 hours on ps5 just picked this gem up on pc running through it again pretty fun starting fresh especially when I have all the knowledge from my other account.
Honestly? I'm sick of all these new players coming to the game. They're constantly making events fail, just because they decided, that it's good idea to start the event, with just them and 1 high lvl player there. And I'm also sick of all the damn free loaders that come with them, constantly asking for a handout in every single group on fb and reddit. Not even willing to play the game like everyone else, but want all the best stuff straight from the start.
