How long does this last?
Door faces the east, so about 5-7. It will start fading after 2 years like every other paint.
What tip are you using?
He is using a 415 tip and Duration Exterior Satin

Question so do i paint the weather strips on the sides?
You an paint the weather striping if you want. Make sure to open the door and paint both sides and top of the door where the weather striping covers the door

If there is a factory coating on it, just lightly sand it. If it’s bare metal you will need a metal primer.

What kind of paint is recommended for metal?
If it’s bare metal, I recommend a DTM primer then paint it with any high quality paint. Use a primer for adhesive and the top coats for strength. I would need to know what you are painting and the use of said item to recommend the proper paints. Thanks for the comment.

Oh gee. I went to Home Depot and bought a 200.00 paint sprayer and know I’m a professional after learning from my boss how to bid jobs. Learn how to spray correctly and then post a video
