Ummm no? You completely biffed on the punchline of this scene, and of this episode. He was laughing due to the fact that he was giddy with excitement that a member of “their class” (lower working class ethnics) was possibly befriending a member of the upper-middle/upper white class. That was why this episode was funny
I’m dying laughing because I say this line so damn much for no apparent reason other than because it is just always stuck in my head and makes me laugh
Maybe my favorite scene in the whole series...and it doesn't even star any of the four main characters! Those pool boys are brilliant, especially the bald one who cracks up at the end...
@@marcbasil Oh, yeah, I totally know, in literal context--but it almost puts an exclamation point on how funny that whole scene is (and almost feels like he's laughing along with the viewer). Hard to explain via text!
When they ask if he had to go see Ramon, it was funny as hell. At the same time it was so creepy how Ramon made up a lie about Seinfeld being his friend.
There's no way they could write this 18 second scene on paper, and anybody would think there's anything funny about it. I don't know how they got from words on paper to that little guy all amped up like that. Was it his ideas or Jerry's or what, God it's so funny! . . . Jerry: Alright, I gotta go. Pool guy: To see Ramon? CUT!!! . . . No no no! Say it like THIS !!! . . .
The character of Paul always reminds me of Luis in the Ant Man/Wasp movie. Was reading up a little bit about this episode. The guy (Danny Hoch) who was initially going to play Ramon complained about the character being stereotyped, so the character was recast. Good call, I say.
Went to high school with a guy like Ramone...he tried to force a friendship that was definitely not in the cards....I like this full episode when Ramone starts behaving psychopathic towards the end...
Obviously. Working class/knuckledragging ethnics are always trying to befriend upper middle class/upper crust whites. That was the joke here. Desperate Ethnic janitors trying to seem equal with first world yuppy whites
“To see Ramon?!” Haha, the way he says that line.
Always makes me bust up!!
All happy and excited for Ramon. 😆
And the crazy face!
@@tmrevenge yeah, haha, that too

To me, that shot of the bald guy gazing at some random spot was always one of the funniest moments. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I love that!! Cracks me up!!
I think it's more because they know Ramon is a weirdo who attaches himself to people and now Jerry is the newest victim
Tell him Dustin says ah-lo. 😂😂😂
I was today years old when I noticed the tall guy laughing after “to see RAMON?!” 😂😂😂
Came to see the bald guy laughing, and to make sure I remembered correct that he wasn't in character anymore 🤣
If put in the context of the show maybe they were yanking Jerry's chain by asking about ramon. No matter what funny as hell!

IM actuality in a group text convo right now about this haha. "To see Ramon" is hilarious
Facts. LEGENDARY ICONIC SCENE
one thing that always baffles me is how they get wind that Jerry ran into Ramon at the movies if they haven't heard from him ?
a brilliant piece of comedy.....only lasts a few seconds but everyone loves this bit....me included.....🤣🤣🤣
"To see Ramone?" Funniest 3 words on TV ever... for some strange reason.
This must be the only 1 u saw

"Hoy! Mr. Sein-Feld!"
It's really Sein-fart
They earned their own spinoff from 24 seconds of unexplainable gold (gold, Jerry)
I always thought this was the WEIRDEST moment in Seinfeld.
thank you!
As Weird As RAMON??!!!
I just commented on a facebook post, the oddest moment in seinfeld history
To see Ramon and then the guy behind him laughing! Cracks me up
FFS... It was Paul "the pool guy" with Dennis the pool guy laughing behind him. Ramone was the pool guy Jerry went to the movies with.

It's the most hilarious part of the video!
He saw someone fall in the pool with all their clothes on.
I think that's why so many of us are here. We have questions for Dustin.

A young Alec Mapa killing it!

There are no dislikes cause people know if you did, Ramone will come after you.
I watched this today with toddler over and over laughing our asses off!
I didn't realize this was Alec Mapa. I watch Worst Cooks and thought he looked so familiar so I googled him and saw that he was in this episode

Anyone know if they just decided to leave the laughing guy in rather than shoot a retake?
