Ohhh, Sayaka.. when it comes to finding “thin sliced” meat in the United States, you can find it at some Asian grocery stores, yes, but you can also find it or request it at local butcher shops (meat market). Sometimes you can find local grocery stores where you can request thin sliced meat also, especially “privately owned” grocery stores. When it comes to butcher shops, grocery store meat departments (private and chain stores), someone is only available to help you during daytime meat department hours. I know that’s a long 😂explanation, but I hope it 🙏helps!! Take care, Sayaka!! I really 💚 your UA-cam live stream!!!!!!! PLEASE DO MORE!! You can choose the topic, more cooking.. something else.. whatever you choose will be fine!!
    🇺🇸🙂💚💕💚🙂🇯🇵

Hello 🙂 Sayaka!! @26:16 to answer your question.. the action is called.. “grating” because you’re using a “grater”. A grater is used quite a bit when “grating” cheese ( also used for grating numerous vegetables). In the State of Wisconsin (here) there’s a lot of cheese varieties!! On Wisconsin’s License Plates, it says “America’s Dairyland”. Happy Sunday evening to you, Sayaka!!

Sayaka, no need to apologize for the “long live”!! It didn’t feel too long at all because you did such a fantastic job at reading comments, making your own comments, and of course cooking & explaining everything!! I could watch you for 😂 hours and 😂 hours, no matter how long the live!!

“Bonito” 🤔 flakes?!?.. that means they’re “beautiful” 😍 flakes.. at least in Spanish😂😂anyway!!
In your case, Sayaka, “eres muy bonita” (you’re very pretty/beautiful)!! “Bonito” means beautiful for “man”. “Bonita” means beautiful for “woman”.. like YOU, Sayaka. 😂🙂
Spanish has a lot of words that are slightly different because of “gender”.
I really love the Spanish Language!! I personally prefer the phrase “eres muy hermosa”! “You are very beautiful”! I like the way “hermosa” sounds! 3 different Spanish words with the same/similar meanings.. “bonita/bonito”, “hermosa/hermoso” and “linda/lindo”. There are a lot of words that are spelled slightly different (the last letter/vowel, “a” and “o”). “A” is typically “feminine” and “O” is typically “masculine”. I know this a pretty long comment about your “bonito flakes”.
    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Great to see longer videos from you. As much as I enjoy the shorts, it is nice to spend a bit more time in learning mode, and really enjoyed your earlier longer videos.
This was a lot of fun! Although I didn't learn too much new Japanese, I did learn a new dish! it was a nice confidence boost to hear and understand the things that I do know in a fairly natural conversation rather than a lesson/textbook scenario. I think it's important to get that confidence boost once in a while - it makes you realise just how far you've come.
I can't believe how big that negi was! They're like pencils here in the UK!

I often cook okonomiyaki at home but a much simpler recipe. (100g white cabbage, 100g plain flour, 2 eggs 2 large spring onions, trail mix, salt. then either bacon or thin pork or calamari or cheese.
If I have it I like to use Daikon and once cooked drown it in Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce and Kewpie mayo :)
Would post picture but can't do that in comments :)

I am so sorry to have not been able to make it to the live stream event. I had to watch it two days later. (Boo hoo!) However, it was just wonderful! I think that you did a fantastic job!
I do wish to say that you are a very beautiful lady. You are really very lovely.
The way you handled being compared to Komonomom was just adorable. Moe is also a wonderful lady and Sutan constantly steals the show from her. I wonder what it would be like to have you and Moe do a video together?! That could be fun and quite entertaining, to say the least.
You are very articulate and sociable. Your English pronunciation is quite extraordinary. I am looking forward to reviewing all of your videos and maybe signing up for your classes.
I was impressed by your recipe for okonomyaki. Having fallen in love with Japan over the past few years. Enough so that my youngest son and I would like very much to move to Japan in the near future. As a result, I have learned to cook more than a few dishes. (I also cook Thai and Chinese dishes, too.) Your recipe is different than mine and I will be using it when I next make okonomiyaki. That will be for the Christmas dinner for my astronomy club at the December monthly meeting. I believe it will be a big hit.🤗
I was totally enthralled by your video. It was like being there with you. I especially liked the part of you preparing to eat your lunch. I was actually enjoying the sounds from outside as they brought much more life to your production. I understand why you closed the sliding door but, it wasn't necessary. The part with the bug was extra amusing as well.
If I had to summarize my personal experience with this video I would say that it was the best date I've had in years!
I am very much looking forward to your next video and live streaming event. I may even be able to making on time. LOL
    お疲れさまでした🥰

You had 2 knives in your hand. The knife that you pulled out of the drawer, is called a “butter knife” or “spreading knife” in English. The knife that you used in your cooking video, is called a “carving knife” or “chopping knife”. I don’t 😂 what the Japanese word equivalents are though! I’m 😳 sorry for that!
    Bye for now, Sayaka!!
Happy Thursday to you!! Soon it will be Thursday here, which is a Holiday, “Thanksgiving”. I have 5 nights off from work, well 4 & 1/2 now! 😂
    Take 🙏 care!!

I love Japanese language and wish i could learn it as my native lithuanian 🇱🇹😄 or at least like english, pronouncing in japanese somehow find more easy in japanese than english 😄 becouse in japanese vowels pronouncing same as five simple lithuanian ones. And many consonants aswell even G(with vowel in japanese) sounds as lithuanian G. Only j in japanese sounds as in english and here no W in lithuanian, and both lithuanian and as noticed japanese don't have Q 😅 and here are lil bit more vowels and it sounds in lithuanian. What is hard for me is greek alphabet that language i live aswell to hear. And spanish with words pronuncation is gard aswell as some letters sounds different than it's written.😅
