Seeing his process on creating an image for that quote is fantastic.

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. That kind of talent, intelligence, personality and charm doesn't come often in one person. I grew up on his work. Precious influence. He led the life to admire. RIP, Milton GLAZER.

Wow, cool talk. Did you know that this is the guy behind the rather legendary "I ♥ NY" logo?

Absolutely brilliant. I cannot imagine we’ll get another man like Mr. Glaser again. Rest In Peace.

He said "Incidentally I've never understood the conflict between abstraction and naturalism. Since all paintings are inherently abstract to begin with, there doesn't really seem to be an argument there. On another subject . . . "

I wonder when people who haven't even spent one second of their life to think about what art and design is, are going to stop mocking videos, that don't fit into their limited view of the world.
this is a video about design. If you are a designer, you realize the great ideas he presents. If your just a consumer, you wont.
Mocking a video like this only shows how stupid most people are.
If you're not interested, don't watch it. If it wastes your time, don't waste more posting a comment!

@BaileysBeads He didn't say it twice... it's just displaying twice because of UA-cam's fail new system.

@florencelovme When I hear "Flying Dutchman" I think of the ghost ship portrayed in the Wagner opera. In German it is called "Das fligende Hollender". A mighty, although not easy on your ear, piece of work.

    An actual genius

The whole lecture was based on how he looks at a tree, but he didn't tell me how he looks at a tree, so I could barley hear a word he said after that. So dose thinking about nature mean you can put blotches on everything and that makes it art? Or is that short sighted in some way?

@doupz0r got to be careful, cause real-genius's fail by getting randomly hit by cars as well........

Not entirely bullshit. It takes a few seconds to look at a painting or a drawing, then you move on.
But it takes days to think up an idea that will make the average guy look at the drawing once and do a double take.
I'll agree that there's some bullshit involved. Some people refuse to learn the hard stuff. For instance, perspective or anatomy. What do they do? They slap a few dashes of paint on a canvas and call it art.. You can consider those guys top notch bullshitters.

He overlooks or ignores the message of Pope's poem and just plays with two words therein.........was looking for more.
"Reliable Dutchman" is interesting; since the nationality is incontrovertible the adjective assumes a similar authority and truthfulness.

@doupz0r that's what i call bullshit. Not every genius has acces to succes, even if they try really hard.
So maybe you should stop copy pasting random quotes and actually think about them first ...

this seems so dry and even scripted... as though he had planned out his jokes in advance... even though he tries to make it seem very natural, seems robotic. I don't like the pictures.

Ok. I’ve just come to be extremely jealous of my brother’s best friend. He’s actually been available always and forever. By some luck, he’s got a model to deeply love him in no time. Just how is that even achievable? He told me he tried the Cupid Love System (Google it!) I wish someone stunning told me they loved me… I don’t recall ever before seeing him so content. Kinda makes me sick.
