Nice video Lee, I've heard in other videos you use elasticated methods for Bream and skimmer fishing on large Waters, would you still use 13 hollow or go lighter? Thanks
Can anyone help please? I’m just re doing the ics method elastic changes but the last knot (holding the hook link) keeps slipping using the granny knot. I’ve tried 5 times now but can’t get it to hold, should I double it?
I know this would work, as I know you’re a fantastic angler. I just can’t get my head round a granny knot to the rig ring being strong enough. Isn’t there a chance of it slipping under maximum pressure? Could I substitute the granny knot for an overhand loop (figure of 8)? For peace of mind 🙄😂
Maybe the wrong person to ask being with Preston which is the best tackle by the way but why do fisheries ban the guru X safe which is inline and safe but can still fish a pole
I love using elasticated feeders, but i was losing fish from the elastic snapping, sometimes on the first use, so i tie my own elastic now. I did use hollow elastic, but i've found the newer hybrid elastics are a little better and don't need changing as often. I also stopped using the small ring, and use a small quick change swivel instead.
@@alexkemmeren3129 Which quick change swivels are you using? I use the Preston's Quick Change Swivels, but before i tried using those i used small snap link swivels. If you can't get the elastic through, tie some line to the end of the elastic and pull it through. Hollow elastic is thicker than hybrid elastic, that why i use it, easier to get a 10 to 12 or 12 to14 through.
Your method produces a fixed rig. How can that be good for fish safety and welfare. Have a crack off or a snap above the feeder the fish is swimming around towing a feeder.
Nice explanation Tank Mr Kerry Lee
Neil McKinnon needs to patent this Des also nicked it from him. Great run through mr Kerry thank you for sharing 👍👍
hello could you advise what diameter of the elastic rub is it? is 2.2mm fitable or thinner? appreciate your help
Do you use the 13 hollo for carp only? Do you use a different one for skimmerfishing?
I prefer lighter elastic for skimmers 10h is good

A lighter elastic would be more beneficial for skimmers/bream. 9 or 11 Hollo :)
@@UKprestoninnovations thanks for the reply, appreciate that.
Very interesting and money saving tip! Thank you!
Which kind of elastic (type and strenght) would you use to re-do the elasticated stems please?
13 or 15 Hollo/ 12 or 14 Dura Hollo
@@UKprestoninnovations Thanks!
Hi Lee
Could you use a tiny Dacron connector on the end of the elastic to attach hook lengths to ?
Hi Mark
Yes you could
But the ring is very beat

thanks for your reply much appreciated
Never heard of the rig ring? Would you then tie your hook length to this?
Just loop to loop as normal is good!
13 hollow strong enough for big carp?

Exactly my problem, the granny knot slips like hell, can't figure out how to stop it from slipping, really disappointing
@@bartverhoeven7599 that knot only works on hollow elastic
What type of elastic do you use for this.
13 or 15 Hollo/ 12 or 14 Dura Hollo

You sure could. But Lee has never had it let him down as the hollo elastic grips on itself.

I tried what you said but can't get the elastic through the tiny eye. How do you this?

been using elasticated stems for 5-6 years now, only ever had hook length snap and twice the elastic, never lost a feeder
