Wow! The first property was perfect! That kitchen, the views and all modern and light! I hope they've found their dream home by now and are happy and healthy!
If I had loads of money, I'd grab number three house, and cover that painted part with rock. I'd build a big walled garden all around the front. Beautiful big wrought iron gates would welcome you home. Then I'd plant Silver Birch and Maple trees and Hostas and Ferns, and live happily ever after.
it is always disappointing when none of the houses are what they asked for. i mean he asked for acreage and none of the houses had that and they wanted all big traditional kitchens none of the houses had that. i think they would tell them what they want isn't available right now and make them wait until it was so they'd have a good show especially for people who had never looked around in the area. oh well win some lose some. he seemed a bit harsh on some of the houses however they weren't what they asked for so i can't blame him!
Am I the only one who thinks that this couple were utterly clueless about the area they wanted to move into? Their shock at the price of the first home was interesting, it’s as though they had never done any actual research 🧐. They wanted the quintessential country property on some acres and were utterly clueless of what was available in the Cotswolds… you’ve got to go back to the 2003-2007 episodes to find anything close in their price range… Hope they find what they’re looking for.
Big, Bigger, Bigger! Why do couples want so much space? And that goes for lawns as well. I just don’t get it. I’m retired and am downsizing. What a relief to have less space to keep clean and fill with ‘storage’.
I would go for the 1st house. It was more beautiful and spacious with better layout. The master with ensuite was big and beautiful, lovely kitchen, downstairs bedroom, making it 4 which is my ideal number. Beautiful family bathroom, detached with a single garage, good sized enclosed garden. Beautiful house overall.
Margherita such good host. Nice couple but the Cotswolds doesn't seem a good choice. They don't like cottages (Cotswolds + cottages & cute) and it's an expensive area. Wish them all the best.

Yeah follow up shows would be wonderful!
Same thoughts,

One of my top 3 FAVORITE hosts! She is wonderful.
Love the Arbor 🌳🌲🌳🌲 show!

👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.

The Cotswolds are very popular and pricey. They may have to compromise to get what they want.
Nice houses❤
It doesn't hurt to hire a landscape architect to help design a garden.
Maybe Yorkshire or Northumbria? Less expensive and different types of houses.

Their budget for that area was ridiculous!
She kept trying to get them to move into future construction projects, no thanks.
