I saw a documentary about WW2 tank battles. One of the men that was involved in salvaging damaged tanks talked about scraping body parts out of the interior of Sherman tanks. In the last 6 months of the war we were losing 400 tanks a month.
The movie loosely portrays the exploits of the very real Lafayette "War Daddy" Pool, his crew and tank named "In the Mood". Pool was a tank ace, racking up 12 confirmed tank kills and 258 armored vehicles destroyed, all within a period of 81 days. Every man in his crew had a nickname. Pool was highly decorated and survived the war. The Fat Electrician has a great video on the man. I am beginning to really enjoy Ketty's reactions and am so glad she is part of the Homies Channel.😊❤ And I still love Michelle, Elle, Leah, and Vicky.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Idk but this is the first time i see reactors laughting and talking to the whole fury movie, like its a serius and dark movie, and you miss some plot points because of that
coming from a huge military family. Some of the most traumatizing stuff I heard were for both my grandparents and they were tank drivers and the stuff they would talk about is so horrifying, it's hard to think about.
My sister says I'm the nicest mean person she ever met in her life because when I came back, I was different and I told her that's because I was cutting people up _ never the same version of me is dead
Fury is a Sherman M4A3E8: a medium-sized tank by WWII standards. It has FIVE crew, and no, there isn't much room. The driver and hull machine-gunner sit at the front. The commander, gunner and loader sit or stand in the turret. The gunner doesn't have an individual roof hatch, so before he can get out, the commander has to get out first. If the commander's dead or wounded, he's trapped... That particular version had a more powerful gun than the normal Shermans, but there weren't enough to go round, so there was usually one per platoon. The Gerrman tank they fought in the field was a Tiger I. It also had five crew. It was so heavily armoured that normal Sherman guns couldn't go through it, and it's gun was even bigger than Fury's so it could kill any American tank. Shooting it from the side or behind was the only option. The tactics that the German tank used were extremely poor and have been the subject of much ridicule from people in the know. What it should have done was stay in the cover of the tree line and pick off the American tanks one-by-one at long range, where it was safe from their guns. The tank used for the movie was a real one, the only working Tiger I left in the world, borrowed from the British Tank Museum at Bovington. The reason they shot the Germna officer in the town was that he was the one hanging kids for not fighting. Wardaddy asked the Burgemeister (guy with the white flag) if it was him just before.
Fun fact...the Fury tank itself is really a diesel powered M4A2E8(76)W...which is obviously only a tiny bit different externally to the gas powered Easy Eight. My understanding is that it was a Lend Lease tank sent to the USSR, but it somehow ended up being an actor in this movie. LOL
Awww, ketty do you have fever, don't forget to do medical checkup, nowadays even a single flu need to be taken care of, stay healthy and stay cute, you too michelle 😉.
I really like the Homies and your movies. I feel a little under the weather today. Your video made me forget that I didnt feel good. Good to see Kettie back.
Ladies, American tanks were inferior in part because we had to make them portable. We had to transport them clear across the Atlantic Ocean to fight the Germans in North Africa and Europe, and we had to transport them all across the vast Pacific Ocean to fight the Japanese. The need to transport our tanks via ship across huge distances imposed size and weight limits on American tanks, whereas there were no such limitations on German and Russian tanks. They were therefore free to build larger, heavily armored main battle tanks with bigger, more powerful main guns then the USA as a result. The tradeoff was that American tanks were easier to manufacture and could be mass produced, which allowed the U.S. to win tank battles by outnumbering the opponents.
Excellent breakdown. I would disagree that the M4 was inferior as it was built to purpose. Without RO-RO'S and the weight limit imposed by dockside cranes, the M4 was the best that could be fielded. Also, it was realized pretty early on that this would be a war of production. The M4 was reliable, the first major engine, and transmission overhaul was not needed until it hit 3,000 miles (more than the distance from Normandy to Moscow), it was easy to maintain and with the introduction of the 76mm gun, wet stowage for ammo and an increased availability of HVAP rounds the M4 became an effective "cat killer".
In 1942, when it was fielded in North Africa, the M4 was arguably the best tank of the war up until that point. It was never inferior during the entire war because of its amazing survivability, second only to the Churchill, ease of maintenance, ease of transport, decent gun, decent mobility, great ergonomics, affordability, adaptability
Honestly one of my favorite war movies, this movie in my opinion is Brad Pitt’s best roles he’s ever done, also kudos to the rest of the actors! Amazing movie
I do hope The Homies cover BAND OF BROTHERS & THE PACIFIC again. I know Elle did it 4 years ago and I would love to see her do it again with the other ladies. Michelle, I still say you look like a very young Lauren Becall (circa 1940). If you have seen a picture of her when she was in her late teens to early 20s, you should. She was so beautiful and so are you.😊❤

They essentially just raped all those women. Those had no choice & they had to have sex with them. That’s so messed up. Everybody just acts like that was okay.

I was always told to make sure that you take the shot first. Because there's always somebody watching
They would always tell me as a kid that weakness is caring, so just do it and then you can cry in a corner
All I know is most of us Military people usually just go fucking crazy and drink a lot as we stare at the wall

36:46 That's a bold strategy, but I don't think that'll save them. Way to think outside of the box Ketty! 😂
Well to be fair, that's actually what they were told to do first, while a diversion was to be created
React to: Windtalkers (2002). A warmovie about the Navajo-Codetalkers.

Sitting in a tuna can too
Going up against those monsters was horrifying itself the only way was her backside if she got the angle say a prayer
Why she doing a reaction on this movie? She did a group reaction to this movie months ago?@*!
