Götz von B. is: Götz von Berlichingen (1480-1562) was a famous German knight and mercenary leader of the early modern period. He is often seen as a symbol of chivalry but also as a representative of the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity. Berlichingen is best known for two things: his iron hand and his role in Goethe's play "Götz von Berlichingen with the Iron Hand."
I have ptsd from all those nebels. It felt like everything was constantly pinned in the town. Regarding the AA, I did know I was killing them, but was expecting two more 7/1's to be available still, which is why I was afraid to bomb in the town/invest more. Counter battering the nebels was a useless here, but from my experience even good players slip up from time to time with moving them. GJ by Steppe
CB nebels isn't a bad idea, but, if you expect them to be used, can try using a recon plane in B or C to spot them for your arty, so you can hit while they are aiming or reloading (no need to fly over enemy AA, a lot of maps let you spot while flying over the 50-50 area)
@@Thehellhound100 Ehh, good advice in general but not applicable here. Nebels were so far back, but more importantly 2nd US does not have a recon plane...
I fully understand taking the recon on top of the ranger marauders, so you can have dedicated recon units that sit back and just spot, and your rangers can actually act as combat unit with their AT capability. I like to do the same even if its not the most slot cost efficient thing to do.
5:36 one .50cal unit just sweeps and pins multiple squads lmao. how can anyone look at this and be like "everything's fine here, just like it should be" lol. they're no joke stronger than 20mm cannons right now in anti-inf role
the .50 cal and the canon stop a bunch of moving inf units, one of them disheartened, idk what you expect a heavy machine gun to do if not pin attacking inf out of cover (and if you look at a 20mm, it would do the same in less time and with more lethality)
@@czwarty7878 do you realise you are comparing a 37mm + .50 cal (heavy machine gun) to stuff that is equipped with a singel DT, no? Complain is cool, but sometimes we have to think, if the heavy machine gun couldn't stop those attacks, why would you even use it?
@@Thehellhound100 .50cal doesn't work like a normal machine gun, that's the problem. It has massively overdone suppression like no other, it's something that has no basis in realism whatsoever nor balance reasons to be like that. This is the entire point. You are purposefuly obtuse to it
I guess the Marders were probably intended as a cost-effective counter to the M10 and Hellcat: StuG IV are awesome tanks, but you'd normally expect them to trade poorly against the US tank destroyers, whereas Marders can go against them reasonably cheaply. Does anybody know the logic behind why the US tank destroyers get extended range on their APCR rounds, whereas every other faction's units get reduced range on their APCR/APDS etc.? I dunno if there's a sensible historical reason for this (usually you'd expect sub-calibre rounds to lose energy faster over longer ranges?) but if you're looking for a nerf for US divisions that doesn't break them too hard, reducing the effectiveness of the M10, Hellcat and M6 guns might not be the worst approach.
Its was a super tight game that really undermines any of the complaining AtkPwr did. This is the 2nd best American Division in the game, complete with pretty much all of the things people complain about, (aside from maybe the 76 Sherman) piloted by a legitimate T1 player. And yet, the Shermans were unimpressive on what he considers their best map. The Halftracks didn't dominate infantry combat. The M10s didn't trade particularly well. The whole thing has just become hyperbole. I'd really love to hear what imbalance swung this game to Jaapaasa.
@BlitkriegsAndCoffee to be fair 17th is probably second best German division and great counterpick. Japaasa did not use crocodiles which was a big mistake, also I think 2 is better balanced
@@tedarcher9120 I think my personal list has Lehr and 26th Panzer ahead of it, as well as maybe 20th Panzer. If we go into the broader Axis list, then Pancelos divisions likely get added in as well. But this is quibbling. The important point remains that when two top divisions clashed, nothing about the game appears particularly imbalanced. Certainly nothing to warrant the amount of complaining we are getting about WA.
I think Eugene should remove their minimal range limit on machine guns. This will make German infantry somewhat better. And 15th (Scottish) Infantry Division is still pretty bad, I think.
It doesnt help that when you often join a 10v10 lobby, the axis team has 10 players of which most are high rank, and the allied team have like 4 lower rank players and you have to pray the ranks balance out when more people join.

Classic matchup. Fun to see again.
Damn, I miss having the time to play sd2. Great cast!
I have hardly seen worse RNG throughout this game from even both sides. I was tearing my hair out at points haha
The main reason to take Marders is APCR, which is for fighting heavy tanks. For everything else a stug 4 is better.
For me, A tier divs are without any weaknesses basically, and S tier are that + some gimmick that makes them op

The American APCR round (known to them as the HVAP) had better ballistics performance than its peers.
I think we don't need to nerf the allies, only 50cals. And buff soviets and germans

Allied divs trade better due to Sherman-76, regular Sherman loses to stug-4 almost always
