Roger Taylor doesn’t get enough credit for how powerful his vocals are. This performance proves that. He did all of the high range vocals on Bohemian Rhapsody.
Jerry McGaghey I watch every reaction to this performance just to see who gives a Roger credit. Of course, you’re going to notice Freddie’s amazing-ness. And rightfully so. But this shows that he wasn’t Queen, he was a part of Queen. Even vocally, if it had just been Freddie, it wouldn’t have been nearly as good. Roger’s voice (and ability to sing while DRUMMING) is fantastic, and this is the best video to hear and see that.
Jerry McGaghey My two daughters who have fallen in love with Queen..and think I’m pretty cool to have seen them in concert in their prime..named our new car “Roger” after Roger Taylor. We are going to put his name and some drumsticks on the back 👍🏻 🥁

He is so essential to the Queen sound and I always like to see people giving him the credit and kudos he deserves. Rogercam is really worth watching too if you love this guy like I do.
Remember that recording scene in the movie..freddie kept making him repeating that part in the song...Roger himself got an underrated badass high pitch vocal.
Everyone in this band was extraordinary. How many bands have a drummer who can sing well? It's just ridiculous that people this talented all came together and melded into the perfection that is Queen.
There's not many bands that can sound this perfect and together in a live concert and not a studio track. Freddie and the gang were SO infused with power and talent that it still literally takes my breath away

Freddie was a pure genius. Nobody will ever touch him.
Your facial expressions gave Queen and the song justice! Awesome reaction! One of my favorites! Jamal loved this song so much he didn't even bother to pause it for commentary because this performance moved him so much!
Almost literally, because this song was inspired by his love of Arethea Franklin's voice and gospel music. He said if he did a duet with her it would just be her singing and him saying "Ahhh!" at the end!
Jagger? Plant? ... Jagger at least matches for charisma and Plant was a better vocalist as well as being a great front man .... Mercury sure had the charisma though in spades for sure. Opinions
@@Mark13091961 Jagger and Plant are great singers but Freddie was next level. Not because of his vocals or charisma but because unlike the later he put his soul on the stage. And those who think different are just fooling themselves

These videos make me feel lucky to have been around at a time when this music was being created, when we were listening to this stuff everyday. When I watch your channel I am taking a musical trip back to my youth.
Probably the finest live performance you will ever see. Faultless, just faultless. I feel very privileged to have seen Queen live twice. As good, if not better, than in the studio.
Freddie took us to church and then aways further out into the deeper waters. I'm so proud of Freddie for doing this song. Your reaction is much more than adequate. You felt it and you heard the soul in this man. Freddie: you were too good for this world. Rest In Peace.
Queen is one of the bands where every member is in the top echelon of their trade, along with The Who, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Cream and a few others....
Supergroup? They were together for only 2 years. 4 albums. And less than 10 high charting songs. Might as well add the traveling wilburys to this list. Or. Ringo starr and his allstar hand who jack bruce also played in. Lol. Cream is not in the class of Queen, The Rollings Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rush, The Eagles, Pink Floyd , Yes or The Beatles. All 3 of creams members are great musicians but cream doesnt have the longevity to be listed with those other groups. Just sayin.
Back in 1975 !I discovered Queen while watching Midnight Special. I was 12 years old and memorized by this band. I even had a 4' poster of Queen on my bedroom wall. Many years later, Nov 1991 my husband and I are driving to work listening to the radio , the DJ announced Freddy Mercury had pasted away. Another victim of AIDS. I myself had lost one to many dear friends to this disease back in the early 80s. The DJ played Somebody to Love. I sobbed . I still listen to their music, and this song still makes me cry.
There's still plenty of people writing their own lyrics now, and even back in the 60's there were pop artists who had people write their songs for them.
Dolly Parton wrote a lot of other people’s music. Same with Willy Nelson. “I Will Always Love You” was written by Dolly to Willy to thank him for their writing career together
Can we all just appreciate their ability to jam it out and change it up so flawlessly? Always a treat to see what Freddie improvises. Apparently on The Prophets Song, Freddie just went in and threw down the delayed vocals near the end just on the fly.
One of the things I most enjoy about your reactions is seeing the emotion of a song play out over your face. You're an awesome human being, Jamel. Keep rocking.
Master vocals and master musicians! The stars ✨ will never align for 4 amazingly talented musicians like these to hookup again. Queen 👑 was a once in a lifetime EXPERIENCE!
Brother, you just watched ONE SONG!!! Can you imagine an entire concert? If you haven't, you've GOT to go to a Rock Concert. There's nothing like it! 😁🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥
I'd like to thank you for giving this awesome band some props. It took the talent of all 4 band members to create this 1 awesome and "beautifully over the top" band. We need more of some of the legends re-introduced in to the mix. Thank you again. You're reaction was excellent!
That really tells you what talent is when the live version sounds better than the studio version. They are the champions of the world!!! You had the right video man. I like your reactions they seem real and not pre planned
Queen live were always better than the studio versions - try listening to the hammer to fall version at live aid and then the studio version straight after, it gives you whiplash 😂
And everyone else just watch and listen... this what you call a Masterpiece Performance. Everyone in this group are masterful musicians. No auto tune or back ground dancers needed. The real deal. Authenticity at its best!
I am pretty sure this is considered one of the greatest live performances of all time. I consider myself lucky to have seen them back in this time frame.
I love that they were such good friends as a band, though they had legendary arguments (not physical fights, like my beloved Davies brothers from The Kinks.) Roger hates when people say Freddie was a great Showman. He says people forget that Freddie was a great Musician, and Showman. Robert Plant is recorded at the Tribute concert saying slyly that most of the singers there are having to change the key of the songs to be able to sing them because most of them can't "do a Freddie." I love that Freddie was so respected for his work, by the other best singers. Brian May always wanted to remix the song "Under Pressure" to change how Bowie mixed it--we all know that Freddie's voice was much more powerful, but you wouldn't know it from that record! (I adore Bowie, too, but he didn't need to do that, and Brian had other reasons, also!) Sir Ray Davies was friends with Freddie, though Freddie stole the Ay Oh, call and response, and turning the British/other country flag from The Kinks' act, and he's still friends with Brian May. Other bands were always asking Roger to sing back up on their records, and on one of Freddie's solo records he still asked Roger and Peter to sing back up (in drag.)
This is by far one of my favorite live performances of all time....love watching people's reaction to experiencing this for the first time....never gets old.....Thank you Jamel!

Just sayin.
To this day this is one of my favourite live performances, absolutely outstanding
That was THE BEST AND THE MOST HONEST REACTION TO A song EVER!!!! Really loved how you were stymied (in a great way) by a Classic we grew up with
Oh yes!!!! I've loved these guys since 1978!!! Man oh man, this song never gets old!!
Watching your reactions is priceless makes me go back to the first time I heard this music. Thank you
Dude caught his first FREDDIE rush!! Super energetic and then drained... Welcome to what is means to FEEL THE MUSIC
Your enthusiasm is infectious! I love how much you are loving Queen! Long live da Queen!! 💜👑
That was a time when the artists wrote their hearts and did not pay people to write hits. The music from the mid-60s to the early 90s was phenomenal.
Like people aren't doing that today?
There's still plenty of people writing their own lyrics now, and even back in the 60's there were pop artists who had people write their songs for them.
Dolly Parton wrote a lot of other people’s music. Same with Willy Nelson. “I Will Always Love You” was written by Dolly to Willy to thank him for their writing career together
Freddie Mercury the ultimate showman absolutely brilliant..
Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) and John Deacon (bass).
Can we all just appreciate their ability to jam it out and change it up so flawlessly? Always a treat to see what Freddie improvises. Apparently on The Prophets Song, Freddie just went in and threw down the delayed vocals near the end just on the fly.
Yes, you definitely found the right version of that song. That is one of my favorite performances ever!
4 musicians, 3 singers, PERFECT MUSIC!
God; I do love watching people reacting to Freddie & Queen!
Freddie Mercury "The KING OF VOICE!"
One of the things I most enjoy about your reactions is seeing the emotion of a song play out over your face. You're an awesome human being, Jamel. Keep rocking.
Love, love love Queen. Freddie was the ultimate entertainer and oh what a voice! Bryan, John and Roger's musical talents and backup voices!
Roger's voice!!!!! Belting it out while never missing a beat!!!!!!
Brian has a beautiful voice. Roger has the high parts. Check out I'm in love with my car.
Master vocals and master musicians! The stars ✨ will never align for 4 amazingly talented musicians like these to hookup again. Queen 👑 was a once in a lifetime EXPERIENCE!
That electricity...the power of awesome.music
Brother, you just watched ONE SONG!!! Can you imagine an entire concert?
If you haven't, you've GOT to go to a Rock Concert. There's nothing like it! 😁🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥
I'd like to thank you for giving this awesome band some props. It took the talent of all 4 band members to create this 1 awesome and "beautifully over the top" band. We need more of some of the legends re-introduced in to the mix. Thank you again. You're reaction was excellent!
Great reaction. Performances like this can touch your soul. It’s legendary.
That is GOD GIVEN ABILITY right there. There will never be another READY FREDDIE & QUEEN.
It’s just a masterpiece: vocally, performance, musically. Genius. Love your reaction!
That really tells you what talent is when the live version sounds better than the studio version. They are the champions of the world!!! You had the right video man. I like your reactions they seem real and not pre planned
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Queen live were always better than the studio versions - try listening to the hammer to fall version at live aid and then the studio version straight after, it gives you whiplash 😂
The amazing sound of Queen doing it again...
An amazing band with amazing talent! Legends!
Have this concert performance on DVD, it's a blast. Early 80's Freddie was amazing. Dragon Attack is a banger too
This is by far one of my favorite live performances of all time....love watching people's reaction to experiencing this for the first time....never gets old.....Thank you Jamel!
