Not to be a jerk, but that is not how you use this 4 way tool. You got 2 sides of this tool right. That being the side used to take out the core with, which looks almost like a fork. Also the one end that looks like a long screw, which is mainly used to clean inner threads for installation of the core (like you stated on the video). However, the big end that is threaded on the inside is actually used for installing valve stems. Which is used by screwing the new valve stem and pulling it through the rim's hole. The other pointed end is actually for removing broken valve stem cores. The cores do brake if over tightened and in that case this end helps. Many people don't know this, but the pointed end is reverse threaded, thus, allowing you to remove the core if it was broken during a bad installation . This is done by pulling the little tip off leaving a small hole. You then insert the pointed tip in the small hole and in a way almost drilling it out. Because the point is reverse threaded the core will end up giving out, thus coming out loose...this is most helpful in the case of a tpms sensor, do to being costly to replace unlike the $.50 cent valve stems.
Brian Salazar to be a bit of a jerk here you do not have to remove the air from the tire if you're just replacing the core as you pointed out towards the end of your clown video that you can take the car out and it will slowly leak out well it might if the stem is bad if the stem is in good condition no air will leak out the only point of the core is to allow air pressure to be released when depressed and are to be put in the tire if it's too low
Dan Lo Fat To be completely honest, "I have absolutely no fucking clue of what you're takin about". The only thing I pointed out on this video was the two ends of that tool that he had wrong. That being the pointed and of that tool, and the one big side that has inner threads. The only time I mentioned a "valve stem core", was when I stated that the pointed end of the tool is used to remove "PHYSICALLY BROKEN" valve stems cores. That is due to the fact that the pointed end is reverse threathed; therefore, it acts like an ectractor.
Brian Salazar Hi, I'm new to fixing tires and you seem to be good at this. Do you need to deflate it before removing the valve core? If I remove the core, will it deflate? Thanks!
Think I see some of the problem here. While you very likely may be correct that the inner thread portion is primarily or originally for installing valve stems. It appears Slime may have edited the tool for cutting/cleaning the valve stem. This tool is advertised as "re-taps threads inside and outside". This is probably due to the legal requirement for new cars to have a TPMS, so installing valve stems is largely obsolete due to the tools necessary to calibrate the TPMS.
O hell man I bought brand new in the end of 1988 a 1989 RS same color but it was a v-6 and the best car I have ever own!!! Thanks for the INFO, I put some of that fix a flat in my daughters truck and I could see the stuff bubbling out a little!!!
That’s a great kit. Today I was trying to help someone stuck on the road with a flat. The plastic tool that green slime comes with broke and I couldn’t get the stem out of their valve. Getting one of these ASAP.
Very useful information. I searched for this video because I need to learn how to use one of those tools, I also need to buy a valve core for my bike (Honda). Do you also have a part-time job as a clown? (3:23).
Great video, i was trying to fill up my tire at a gas station and somehow loosened the valve stem core. I didn't have one of these tools so i took one of the many bobby pins littering my house and used that, worked really well :)
Great video. A little hard to see but I totally get it. You have a great knack for information delivery. I am an idiot-I took my moto rim off for a leaky valve replace when I could have just done this!! ARGH
Always good to do a quick UA-cam search before you tackle the task, there's always somebody smarter who's thought of a better way to do things out there these days in the information age
"It's so cute! . . . so small!" Damn, Klowny, how did you know what my old lady told me last night? LOL! Wish someone had shown me how to use a valve tool when I was a lad; I had to figure it out on my own. Your explanation was top notch. Enjoyed watching. You're a HOOT!
If you deflate your friends tires how do you inflate them? Very silly joke only a sadist will pull off. Do you like Bondage and sadomasochism? Do you like getting beaten up or to beat people up?
this was the perfect video ... i just bought that tool and some valve cores because my front tire has a bent valve stem on it - now i feel like i can do it - if this klown can do it
Sometimes your tire valve is inside the spokes of your wheels. In this case, that 4-way tool will not fit or tighten the core into the valve. You then need a core tool that is shaped like a screwdriver handle.
Thanks, exactly the vid I was looking for to figure out how to use this kit. Except they also have the stems as well, not sure how to do them but will keep looking,.
Sir, somehow only my right front and right rear’s valve stem core are shorter compare to left ones after changing new wheels. So it’s very hard to check air pressure with my gauge since valve stem cores are shorter and gauge cannot touch (or push) the core... How can i resolve this issue?!
Good video! How do you know when to stop tightening a new valve core? Is there a definate stop? I have a problem of overtightening stuff, and messing things up when I should've backed off a little! Thanks!
Good video. I got 1 those removal tools when I bought a mechanics set from Sears many many years ago, but I never really understood how it worked. I do now. Thanks.
Don't torque it too much when twisting a new core back in or you'll break it and the jacket of the core will get stuck. Not too tight.

It happened to me today. The stem came out with a cap. But I didn't have a bobby pin. I had to call AAA to put spare tire so I was able to drive home😞
Please explain how you did that. I don't have a tool either and need to fix this lol
Good reminder for me from Vinnie Barbarino from Welcome Back Kotter😂😂 You do sound like him with the NY accent👍
Thank u sir!!
I lost my valve core in the snow and used the one from my spare tire to replace it, seemed to work great. Are the cores different sizes?
Nope

Am I correct to assume one must let all of the air out of the tire prior to replacing the valve core?
Will this work with TPMS valves?
Oohhhh man love this guy already 😂🤣thanks for the help my guy
Smh, I got a piece of a plastic valve remover from Slime stuck in inside the valve. Anyone have any bright ideas on how to get it out.
Hey. I replaced like 3-4 core valves. It still leaks from the core. What could be wrong?
Not sealing properly, rust or corrosion inside the stem..change the whole valve stem..don't forget to subscribe

Cool. You can also deflate tire by just removing core.

Can the tire be on
Sure
Do you need to take the wheel off to do this?
Why are some valve cores red & some with a black stripe?
Is there a difference between short valve cores and others?
Wish I found this yesterday when I changed valve core on my gmc 2500...good info tho
the reason the tool screws onto the stem is to USE IT TO PULL A NEW STEM THRU THE RIM.
I got that slime stuff it has a plastic remover on the cap. I broke it in less than 2 seconds. :( So thank you for taking the time to post this.

Snapped off 1/4 to 1/2 inch of my valve stem. Can this tool help make more thread on the inside to place the valve core deeper than it was?
