This is exactly what I needed. I’ve had one of those things amongst my tools for years. I forgot where I got it. But now I know how to use it. I can clean up my external threads every now and then.

At last, simple clear and visible and understandable. Well done ;)

Clear, quick, and educational. I like it. That might help my issue with the core being in as far as it'll go but leaking. There might be some issues with the threads or debris.

Are all tire valve for cars and liter bikes the same?

Shrader valves were invented in 1844 I think FWIW... :)

Superb video - thank you for doing this. I wondered what the other ends of the tool were for; this video has really helped..

Do you lose air when you remove the core

Exactly what I wanted to ask. I've seen conflicting videos. This one says the pressure will make the core fly out, on another I've seen a semi-deflated tire not lose any pressure when the core was removed.

Unless the tire is really flat, you will lose air. The more it is inflated, the more pressure inside and therefore it will blow more air out with more force.

The valve core is the only thing that holds the air in so yeah it will lose air. I know because I'm currently replacing the core on one of my wheels.

Removing the core helps the air move out super fast on a tire.

I think the pointy part is actually a tool to remove broken cores, pull the pin and screw it in counter clockwise, though I ended up stripping it that way and using the scissor trick ua-cam.com/video/9WVWnj9GTE4/v-deo.html

Don’t over tighten the valve core! I did this and it popped in past threads and I had to replace the whole valve stem

So this tool removes valve cores? So it will flatten the tyres of a car that say, has parked in my assigned spot. Repeatedly. After several warnings and complaints. When I told them I'd do exactly this?

You don't actually remove the cores, that would be vandalism. What you want to do is loosen them so every time they inflate it, it slowly but surely loses air in each tire until it drives them mad. 🙂

Valve core tool. The valve itself stayed in place.

Ok…half of the threads have broken off…good video though 😉
