The first row of locs on the hairline is a called a tapered hairline. It’s main purpose is to keep the hairline intact

How do I freeform with 4c hair love ur vids
Just stop combing and picking your hair....keep your hair clean, oil the scalp when necessary and it'll naturally lock up. If you want to try and have a semblance of "sections" try the towel rub method
great tips from Eli! 4c is perfect for some freeform or semi-freeform locs. Next week I will be creating a series on how to get locs with different hairtypes, stay tuned!

Yep yep. I have locs and 6 tattoos, but almost all of them are covered by clothing
Is free forming healthier than maintenance?
Can be! Depends on the health and thickness of your hair. Generally, less traction on the hair means less breakage over time.. but if you have a healthy scalp and a good regimen retwisted locs can be just as healthy 😇
