Hand Quilting Basics for Beginners

What is Hand Quilting?
Hand quilting is exactly what it sounds like - quilting by hand! It can be a tedious and time-consuming process, especially when used on a larger project, but the outcome can yield some beautiful results.
All you need is a needle and a thicker thread (like quilting or embroidery thread). Some like to use an embroidery hoop to keep things tight and prevent shifting, but it is not a requirement to get the job done.
Its most basic form consists of the running stitch in straight lines across your entire quilt, but you can really do it however you want to!
