hey, my teacher showed us some of ur vids and i decided to subscribe to learn more and i have to say its been great watching ur vids. the animation is soooo great it adds more color to the vid and less complexity. thanks for putting in the time for all of us here who watch ur vids. keep up the good work!!! :)
I’m a first year med bio student in a public university, and we can only borrow a maximum of 3 microscopes per class, 2 compound microscopes, and 1 light microscope, so we would always try to get to the light microscope first because it’s easier to use and shows the specimens better. Hope we have more light microscopes😂😅
Omg im just sooo i have no idea how im supposed to tell you how helpful you are to me i just love you i love youuu thank you for everything thank you againnn thank you thank youuu
Thank you Amoeba sisters you're the best, I'll destroy my next biology exam, the best part I had fun learning! and learning is more important than pass a test, because Knowledge is power, I love you :3
the contents are relevant and this channel helps me a lot. Only the volume itself are not that high unless u are going to use earphones or raise the volume to 100%
Hello Amoeba Sisters again! It is me-Professor Beata Yacura! Your scientist!👩🔬🧬🧩🔬💉🧫🧪 I have a microscope at home. I got it for my birthday! I got it because I wanted to observe all kinds of microbes! I am actually a true scientist! Maybe I can find new microbes. Pinky, if you would love to find out and learn what I found, I would be happy to teach you with you little artist Petunia!🥳🎊🎉😍❤️
Would this work for looking at rocks? Are you able to use the eyepiece alone (ocular lens) without using the other magnifications? I purchased a National DC3-163 Digital Microscope NTSC System. And have ZERO experience using one 😅
My bio teacher gave us this video and some questions to go with it but I don't think the video has the answers to the questions. I've watch it 5 times now and I still haven't found the answers to the questions. I think he should've put a different video, but this is also very helpful 'cause it answered a handful of the questions :) anyway, happy day to you all.
I have a light microscope, and the maximimum magnification for the lenses is 25, and the maximum magnification for the other lense is 100. if 25x100=2500, does this mean my light microscope can see 2500 times? Just asking here, I am still new to using mine
This is a really good question! With your microscope, the maximum magnification would be the magnification from your highest-power objective lens (in this case, the 100x) multiplied by the magnification of your eyepiece, which, for this argument's sake, I'll assume is 10x. Hence, if we want to calculate the maximum magnification of your light microscope, it would be 10 x 100 = 1000x. So, to answer your question, no, your light microscope can only see up to 1000 times, because the magnification of one objective lens has little to no effect on the magnification of the other(s). Hope this helps!

Where was this video when I was an undergrad? It was always me VS the microscope, and the microscope won every time. 😞
I've never owned a microscope

When it comes to biology, microscopes really SHED SOME LIGHT on the subject.
