    I just got one this week. I haven't shot a bow in 40 yeaars, and never shot a compund bow before. My only regret is that I wish I would have gotten it in black. I'm very impressed that I can hit such tight groups with the included arrows, no practice and setting it up myself. Very impresssed so far. Lots of fun.

    My brother was looking for an inexpensive back up bow. His draw length is 27.5 inches, draw weight is 60lbs. He just took a 10 pt with this bow at 30 yards yesterday. He harvested two does with it last year. $10 broadheads, and arrows from Wal Mart to hunt with. Says he loves his Elite bow, but he grabs this one on uncertain weather days....lol #badweatherbow 😂😂😂

    This bow is only good for drawlengths of 29" and up. I had one, set it up to my 26.5" drawlength, and it would never tune without the nock point being 3/8" lower than the rest. As I experimented with increasing drawlengths, I discovered that the nock point needed moving up in relation, until at 29", the arrow was perfectly level with the bow, and no longer nock low. I emailed Sanlida this discovery, and they sent me a 2nd one to see if it did the same thing. It did. I sent it back, and found someone with a 29" drawlength who needed a new, affordable bow, so I sold it to him at an extreme loss - I threw in a dozen Gold Tip arrows @ $100, and a QAD Hunter rest (installed on the bow) @ $65, because the arrows it came with were way too heavy, and the Hostage knock-off was a piece of junk.

    Nice set up for the money for sure. How long will it all last or stay in tune or other issues are not covered but that's not the point of the video. Seems like a great starter bow to me.

    I've been looking at a lot of review videos about this bow package. I'm just getting into bow hunting and looking for a good one to start with.
    I'm 6'6", do you think I'm too big for this one? I think my draw length is between 31"-32", and this just goes to 31.
    Also, im looking to hunt elk. If I've got this with some good arrows, is it strong enough for taking down an elk?
    Thanks. Great video

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  Рік тому +1

      Hey Thaddaeus! I’m not sure about the draw length. You would definitely max out on power though. While shot placement is everything and you could take an elk with this with a well placed shot, it may be best to go to a bow shop and see what bow feels comfortable in terms of draw length and draw weight. If you happen to take a shot at a massive bull elk, you’ll want to be certain that you put yourself in the best position to take him out. Best of luck this season and thanks for watching! 👍🏻
