9:26 wanted to clarify, ALASTOR DIDNT FORM IN HELL. He is a sinner but after dying (he got shot while burying someone cuz someone thought he was a deer, hence his horns) he came to hell cus he is a sinner but he had so much power which is something that isn’t common amongst sinners and only seen in overlords who are sinners that have ownership over souls. Again he didn’t randomly form in hell
Have you seen the Harbin Hotel music video 'Addicted' yet? Because if not, remember there's an end credits extra verse to the song so make sure you watch the full video.
The fact that Alastor is competing against Vox, which is the personification of streaming media and television, AND WINNING against him is a scary sight.
It is possible that Alastor just has more power, period(By power I mean souls). Which, if you take in account a certain revelation that happens in episode 4, could totally be plausible
Well It has actually a lot of sense considering that all the media that came after the radio just refine the same principle, Vox needs to constantly adapt to catch attention of people which is portrait as actual insecurity in Vox, Alastor doesnt need that nor want it, hes just fine as it is and that confidence is the thing that let him win this raffle, he just goes with the flow of its own waves.
The way I see it is that he gains power from ALL Radio signals. That includes TV broadcasts, which means no matter how powerful Vox gets, Alastor will always have that power and then some.
I actually think that out of the Vees, Velvette may be the strongest, since she represents social media. And in present day, social media is stronger than television (Vox) and the adult film industry (Valentino). But yes I also think Alastor is stronger than all of the Vees, since all the media they represent operate on the same principle as radio, which started the whole concept of broadcasting.
Seeing Alastor serve Vox is always hilarious. Honestly you could tell Vox was freaking out through most of the song. Man went into this with a whole ass crew thinking he was going to hand out some humiliation and instead ended up getting put in his place by a guy with old tech and no help.
He literally sang the whole song in the first place because he was terrified to hear that Alastor came back. There’s no doubt that Alastor is much stronger than Vox, in fact Vox probably formed the Vees in the first place just to be able to match Alastor. Though there’s also a chance that Alastor may still be stronger than all three of the Vees.
@@xmant8842 I think it’s more so that Vox feels threatened by Alistor added to the fact that they have beef. I think they have a sort of Zeus and Poseidon type of rivalry. Where one is physically more capable and the other is more powerful/has more knowledge of their power. I’ve heard that, canonically, Vox is actually supposed to be more powerful than Alistor.
He really jumped the gun on responding to Alastor being back, I'm sure most hellions didn't even know or care (Angel didn't even know who he was a week ago), but Vox gave Alastor a buildup and a platform. Self fulfilling prophecy
"And here's the sugar on the cream, he asked me to join his team. I said no and now he's pissy." That one line completely changes Alastor and vox's dynamic. The idea of vox having this seething hatred of Alastor just because he declined to join the V's is just hilarious to me.
I believe it’s hatred tinged with some fear, since Alastor is clearly stronger and more intimidating than Vox. The thing about radio is that it hasn’t really evolved as much as television has, but is still just as relevant in the modern context, if not moreso. It’s nicely reflected in the song since Vox is shown having such a complicated setup with an entire team behind him but gets defeated by Alastor who is literally just speaking into a mic while alone in a studio. So Alastor will always be powerful in a way that Vox can only hope to be, which is probably why he formed the Vees in the first place, since all three of the Vees probably match Alastor in strength. But there’s also the chance that Alastor could be stronger than the Vees combined.
I love the Alastar vs Vox rivalry. "Stayed Gone" is such a great song. I love how how Vox thought he could call Alastor out, but then he showed up to show him how it's done. And his demon form at the end is terrifying. Also, I'm so glad they didn't go the obvious, overused story route of having Charlie believe Sir Pentious when he got caught and kicking out Angel Dust or whatever for the sake of drama. I hate that misunderstanding trope.
Yeah I'm so glad they didn't do that trope. All the reactors I've watched so far were expecting that trope to happen, and were pleasantly surprised when it didn't.
Same, I REALLY thought they were gonna do that. That he was gonna show them the camera and they were just gonna say “oh you’re just making him look bad bc you’re jealous. Alastor casually reminding Vox and his followers why he was feared and respected by even Hells upper echelons before he disappeared. The Radio Demon is no mere enemy lmao.
What’s wild is that as powerful as Alastor is, Vivziepop herself has confirmed that Charlie is still much stronger. In fact, Charlie Morningstar is the second most powerful entity in Hell, right below her dad Lucifer. We just haven’t seen anything related to her strength (yet) because she’s such a kind person who doesn’t really want to use any of her powers to lord over the other demons.
Alastor is a Sinner like most of the main cast, aside from Charlie. What they meant was when he manifested was when he died and came to Hell, he was unnaturally powerful, especially for a Sinner who JUST died.
@@LaurenLumsden Charlie is a Hellborn, a natural born Demon mixed with Angel. Imps and Hellhounds are also Hellborn. Sinners aren't allowed outside the Pride ring because they'd wreck havoc on the rest of Hell.
I like how Vox's voice sounds like a TV game show host instead of Alastor's radio voice. Also, the three V's have a fascinating control over Hell since they each control different factions of Hell's entertainment, Vox controls media and technology in Hell, Valentino controls the adult film industry and sex trade, and Velvette controls social media and trends in Hell, all of them inter-twine really well and makes sense why they work together. I absolutely LOVED the 'Stayed Home rap battle between Alastor and Vox. It was so catchy and vibrant, and Alastor roasted Vox like a CHAD. Alastor basically roasting Vox over his use and representation of Televised Media is just hilarious to me! A just saying “That’s the tea!” At the end of it had me laughing so much I was literally crying it was great!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just a clarification for ya’ll, Alastor wasn’t formed in Hell, he’s actually a Sinner Demon who was once a human. Vivziepop confirmed that as a human, Alastor was a serial killer in the 1930s who also happened to be a radio show host. He was killed by a deer hunter after being mistaken for deer in the woods as he was trying to hide the body of his latest victim. That’s why he has some deer-like characteristics, since Sinner Demons tend to take on some of the physical characteristics of whatever killed them.
They revealed they actually recorded it seperately. Due to the amazing director, the characters flowed rlly well with each other. And we can expect it better next season as now they know how each character is like!!
It's a shame more productions don't do ensemble casts for voice acting. Separate recordings can still be really good, but there's something special about the actors being able to play off of each other.
I don’t blame them though lots of people didn’t know they were dating unless you’re in the fandom. They never explicitly said so and they haven’t acted like it much in the 4 episodes and pilot

I don't think Pentious is smart enough to play a long con like that, Roxy 😂 Also, can I just say how much I love Vox's voice? Christian Borle does an amazing job.
I'm kind of wondering if Lilith's disappearance is linked to the fact that they mentioned her love of music. Music can touch people, help them find moments of their humanity. Alastor is the Radio Demon. What if he was concerned about her having tools to broadcast which would risk fewer souls being willing to sign into pacts and get aligned with his power? It risks his Overlord capability.
I love that watching this with These two is basically watching this with Charlie and vaggie. "It's a trick!" "No he's really gonna redeem himself for real!" 😆
If you are like indie animation. I recommend you murder drones, Helluva Boss and The Amazing Digital Circus, LACKADAISY and GODSPEED Pilot. Helluva Boss take place in same universe as Hazbin Hotel.
Alastor fr was super laid back with sir pentious we see him kill for fun but yet when SP causes issues twice and rips his coat instead of killing him like hes done to overlords he just blasts him away and then forgives him later
One thing I enjoy pointing out is that Val says that Alastor ALMOST beat Vox that one time, implying that Vox still won in a battle! Their rivalry may not be as one-sided as this episode may imply. Sure, Al gets under Vox's skin, but Vox does the same to Alastor, so much so that even being near TVs or Video Equipment vexes him. It's a very fun dynamic!
Could it be possible that Alastor forfeit the battle instead saying “your not worth the kill” which piss vox off even more since that feelin of they don’t find you worthy enough to go whole effort? Because like he is with sir penctiouse he didn’t kill him just messing with him then got pissed blowing him up but survives 😂😂
@@kokopuff5836either that or he had to flee because something came up, leading him into his 7-year disappearance-either way, i'm excited for what the show has in store for the future!
Charlies effort and praise towards the ones who show that they are trying to see the light is so amazing. She tells them she is proud of them and assures them that they arw on the right path. I love that about her!
I forget, have you seen the music video 'Addicted'? It was made a few years after the pilot, we see a bit of Angel's life from before he went to the hotel, and confirm what Valentino (moth-like demon with love heart glasses) means by "who owns him", plus the favour Angel said he owned his friend. If you haven't seen it, there's an end credits bit you HAVE to watch.
Alastor whole design is based off of a deer. He lived out in the woods and while he was out walking there was a hunter out with his dogs and one barked in Alastor’s direction. The hunter shot thinking his dog barked at a deer killing Alastor.
Glad you guys are watching the show. It and its side show Helluva Boss are great, but there is some headsup info to be aware of. Not sure if its because of the internet fuel of it or the indie development prior, but this show and Helluva does suffer a little from outside fillers. What I mean is that there is a lot of information on the world and characters that is filled in by Vivziepop thats not explained in the shows. They are good shows, but they do not at least from my viewings of both delve really into the world and its laws as deeply as they could. For example overlords are humans who govern the ring of pride in place of hell born demons. There are the 7 rings of hell based of different sins, which is featured in Helluva Boss the side show prominently but what they entail to the world overall is vague. Humans can't go to the other rings because Lucifer confines them to the pride ring. Theres more, and they don't detract from the show overall, but there are things it doesnt explain at times when a moment would serve it great now thats an offical show. Other then that, looking forward to more reactions and hope you guys enjoy.
@andressaucedapadron1937 I don't know, but if I were to guess from some other videos I've seen they are like political demons? Supposedly they help plan Armageddon I think but I'm not sure. I think in the show they could be lesser angels who fell but who knows.
Thank you for starting this series!! And I just finished watching you guys react to the first episode earlier today and yes I saw y'all react to the pilot which made me happier. But damn episode 2 already?!! Today is an awesome day to be alive 🖤
I wonder if you guys are gonna watch helluva boss too after this because s1 is only until ep8, so while waiting for s2, i suggest you guys watch helluva boss as well. Its from the same creator and universe as hazbin.
Alastor is one of my favorite Chaotic Evil characters ever. And I need to find some audio gear or software to make my voice sound like old timey radio.😂
Alastar lived and died in the 30s when radio shows and radio were all over the place, where as Vox represents the television era which is why the two don’t get along.
Just a reminder, Alastor is a sinner who is just extremely powerful. The only beings born in Hell are the Hellborn, which includes princes, imps, Charlie, succubus, and other demonic creatures. All sinners and overlords were human.
Love Alastar he's is my top favorite so far and yeah, I knew he'd been gone awhile but I only just now realized. That he has also been gone 7 years, the same as Charlie's mom, and that's interesting is there a connection or is it just a coincidence? hmmm
Introducing the VVVs, expect to see more of each them, can’t wait to see what you think of the next ones, you’ve seen nothing yet. Have you checked out the Addict Music Video?
13:08 I’ve never seen this show before and I really thought he was about to start singing here but then he got interrupted by stupid creepy snake man XD. (I know he has a couple of songs but I don’t know when/where they happen)
I feel like the scene with sir pentious and angle dust acting out a drug deal shows one of Charlie's greatest character flaws (her slight immaturity) in which she doesn't see the many reasons why a drug dealer might be forced to cell crack to children and only see them as a purely evil person. ((I hope I worded this right let me know))

@@kokopuff5836 Idk, I feel like Al would've just killed Vox. Alastor forfeiting isn't really in-character from what I can tell.
@@kokopuff5836either that or he had to flee because something came up, leading him into his 7-year disappearance-either way, i'm excited for what the show has in store for the future!
@@_potatowchxrriz1688 who knows but I’m excited to see how this goes!!
This song still slaps even without the music
" i think im smiling like a little kid" Her eyes 🥹
Holy f***, it's different to hear the Vox/Alastor Duet as a regular back and forth between mediums in real time
Alastor whole design is based off of a deer. He lived out in the woods and while he was out walking there was a hunter out with his dogs and one barked in Alastor’s direction. The hunter shot thinking his dog barked at a deer killing Alastor.
He’s based on a wendigo
@@licecollector6199 not exactly. Vivziepop was asked about Alastor and said though he definitely has wendigo themes he’s not a wendigo.
I love the saffo and her friend-ness of charlies "bestie" 🤣 absolutely my level of obliviousness tho
The trick to remembering Sir Pentious' name is internalizing he's serpent adjacent, _serpentious_ if you will
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO cuz I don't have prime video so this is how I watched episode 2😭
same😭
Loving the fast uploads!
What do the Goetia do anyway
@andressaucedapadron1937 I don't know, but if I were to guess from some other videos I've seen they are like political demons? Supposedly they help plan Armageddon I think but I'm not sure. I think in the show they could be lesser angels who fell but who knows.
My exact reaction see this uploaded the same day as them uploading episode one “daaaaaaaayum! Yay!”
Thank you for starting this series!! And I just finished watching you guys react to the first episode earlier today and yes I saw y'all react to the pilot which made me happier. But damn episode 2 already?!! Today is an awesome day to be alive 🖤
charlie is the kindest of all of them yet she scares the utter crap out of me 😂😂😂
wow!! thank you for uploading these so fast!! you’re spoiling us hahaha
I wonder if you guys are gonna watch helluva boss too after this because s1 is only until ep8, so while waiting for s2, i suggest you guys watch helluva boss as well. Its from the same creator and universe as hazbin.
The Alastor/Vox duet and their whole dynamic is so fun . I'm really happy you're posting these reactions so soon ❤
I LOVE the acappella because you can really hear the quality of every singer’s performance. Every single one of them is a master of their craft.
holy shit you guys are quick, i just wathed your last one lmaoo
keep up the great work
Hii Reel Rejects I’m a huge fan by the way I love your reactions so much, keep up the good work guys, I can’t wait to see your videos soon.
Alastor is one of my favorite Chaotic Evil characters ever. And I need to find some audio gear or software to make my voice sound like old timey radio.😂
I didn't see that vox owns a fizzybot! I really hope they watch the sister show, helluva boss. It has a lot of world building and how hell works in ir
Hearing the singing and sound effects without the music is unreasonably cursed.
I have been searching for episode 2 for a goddam hour and I have just given in to these reaction chanles
The PSA is my favorite part of the whole season. It's so funny. XD
I cannot stop loving Alistor 🔥📻
Funny you bring up Leslie from Parks and Recreation, she's one of the inspiration for Charlie's personality.
I LOVE how Sir Pentious sound so much like Fizz, yet so different, I think their voice actor was great.
The lack of instrumentals as Vox runs down the hall and shouts "Who gives a shit?!" makes him seem so much more unhinged.
It took me a while to find out the Velvette (Hazbin Hotel) and Goldie locks (Puss in boots) are voiced by the same person
Hii Reel Rejects I’m a huge fan by the way I love your Hazbin hotel series reactions those voice actors are amazing I can’t wait your videos soon.
I'm so excited, thank you guys for putting these out so quick, I love your reactions so much!
Alastor isn't a hellborn-- he was also human once. "Manifesting" is basically when a demon appears in hell.
Your the first people I know that pointed out the coincidence of Alastor and Lillith being absent for the same duration
Alastar lived and died in the 30s when radio shows and radio were all over the place, where as Vox represents the television era which is why the two don’t get along.
When Sir. Pentious ripped Alastor's suit, he made an elk call (or was it a radio static thing?)
Vox is literally so pissy its funny 🤣 thus is why he is my favourite character.
It warms my heart you give Sir Pentious so much credit
7:13 I’ve rewatched hazbin at least 3 times and have never caught onto that detail until now😭
rage because I can't afford prime video just to watch a serie and having to watch it for a random react
Two in one day, crazy!!! Absolutely loved this episode and your reaction
Who needs sleep, honestly
I love the rivalry between Vox & Alastor lol
Peak Alastor episode,
Change my mind
This is the only way I can watch the show so thank you for uploading this dude
I wish that reaction video’s were videos where they stay silent for the whole episode and then review it after 😔
IKRRR I’ve been looking for one like that.. still no luck for me 😭😭
Wasnt expectating the Back 2 back episodes Letss goooo! If youre watching this at work like me, Have a Good Day!
Radio VS Video.
The war between the entertainment mediums is glorious in this show!
I need their reaction to Ep4!
How'd you get the vocals to the songs without the backing tracks?
You probably already saw it by now, but episode 4 is a gut punch.
Ik it’s probably copyright stuff but hearing the songs without the music is so weird
Two in a day!? You’re feeding us
Just a reminder, Alastor is a sinner who is just extremely powerful. The only beings born in Hell are the Hellborn, which includes princes, imps, Charlie, succubus, and other demonic creatures. All sinners and overlords were human.
Also when you said "four years ago" I checked when this was released and it was four days ago XD also I almost never smile so am I not existing 🤔
I hope they get to watch episode 3 and 4 of the show.
omg just noticed the V have a Fizz robot as a servent
The absence of music allows me to hear what they're saying
OH SHEEET TWO IN A DAY! 👏🏽
Love Alastar he's is my top favorite so far and yeah, I knew he'd been gone awhile but I only just now realized. That he has also been gone 7 years, the same as Charlie's mom, and that's interesting is there a connection or is it just a coincidence? hmmm
I watched the hazbin hotel show before and god..the last episode is crazy o.o ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Love this show thank you Roxy and Greg for the recommendation!! Also Greg 😍😮💨🫠
Great Reaction! This show is very funny! 👍
Introducing the VVVs, expect to see more of each them, can’t wait to see what you think of the next ones, you’ve seen nothing yet.
Have you checked out the Addict Music Video?
hiiiiiiiiiiiiii RealRejects Hazbin Hotel it’s coming showtime where’s the fun 🌺
The Vox and Alastor duet was one of the best songs they’ve done
I’ve been maced multiple times by several women for saying they’d look better with a smile. They don’t appreciate my reel rejects references.
13:08 I’ve never seen this show before and I really thought he was about to start singing here but then he got interrupted by stupid creepy snake man XD. (I know he has a couple of songs but I don’t know when/where they happen)
I have seen this on prime video and I try to notice the cuts! 😂😅
I feel like the scene with sir pentious and angle dust acting out a drug deal shows one of Charlie's greatest character flaws (her slight immaturity) in which she doesn't see the many reasons why a drug dealer might be forced to cell crack to children and only see them as a purely evil person. ((I hope I worded this right let me know))
Yo im loving the chit chat 😂😂
I mean vox gets destroyed on his own tv show😂😂
