Ace is not a moron. He knew they were a bunch of rich snobby people with no respect for animals(the riding crop gag was supposed to be the first clue). The woman with the dead fox as a shawl and Ace’s response kinda gave it away completely. They’re trying to analyze the movie(which is weird for the type of movie it is), but are missing really obvious points. Also Ace has always been very “extra”. He definitely takes it up a notch in this one, but it’s still completely in line with who he was in the first one.
That’s one of the reasons that makes Jim Carrey so unique and the best… he makes “overacting” amazing. That’s something NO ONE else can do… because overacting is a bad thing coming from anyone else. Robin Williams is the only other person who can do that

Dang, these guys are such a drag. And they miss a lot of really obvious things, like how Ace knew exactly who those people in the party were by witnessing them abusing animals and wearing dead animals is fashion. Yikes
He has a reason to be more turnt up in here .. He failed the racoon and it died and he spent time trying to rehabilitate himself on top of a pyramid with monks that don't even want him there .. 🤣🤣🤣
Andrew should realize that this movie came out in the 90s and was targeted towards teens. The over the top acting appealed to me as a 12 yo when it came out. Don't be so offended all the time bud.
Yeah I cried laughing when I first saw it as a kid, so it was ironic them talking about Carrey putting on a childish performance as if that's a bad thing cuz that's the best way to view it
Hmm I think you kinda misunderstand Ace Even in the first movie he did things without reason, like how he acted out a message to Starfleet while investigating Snowflake's tank, or the "I just can't do it captain, I don't HAVE THE POWERRRR". Or him doing the mission impossible thing to check out that house of that one rich guy. He's always extra, always overtly annoying. That's his thing.
I met Ian McNiece, who plays Fulton Greenwell, at a comic con once and I asked him what it was like filming this. He said it honestly didn't feel like he was a doing a job because Carrey made it that much fun for everyone. A lot of what happens such as the slinky at 12:52 and the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang bit were all improvised on the spot and McNiece said the bloopers reel must have been miles long. According to him behind the scenes the studio were in a rage with Carrey however, as he had negotiated that everyone be paid to the minute as long as they were on set. So naturally he time wasted constantly 😂
Have to disagree with you guys to me this one is just a different vibe compared to the first one and to me that's what's good about it and I think the story does work really well as entertaining around Jim Carrey's comedy as it's alot more slapstick we're the first one isn't as much but I've always liked them both and the mood ever hits I'd watch either one that's another thing to with the second one is I think you have to be in the right mood to watch it but that's just my opinion
Y'all are nitpicking way too much absolutely love this one just as much as the first movie also saying that he had no reason to act like that around the people yeah they were Rich spoiled stuck up assholes he's a pet detective and everybody's walking around with fur
21:00 He DID have a reason, he didn't like how snob everyone at the club was and how they were treating the animals (as established when the scene began and when he saw when they were wearing fur)
Maybe the reactors don’t look down on those things or see them as normal, so it didn’t occur to them that those things are more than enough reason for Ace (an animal lover) to not like them? But yeah, I’m totally on Ace’s side on this one.
To this day whenever I am in an extremely hot or muggy place I ALWAYS think of the mechanical rhino scene and say to myself WAAARM!!! Also I die laughing when he get the spears in the legs.🤣🤣🤣
I hate to say it but y'all lost cred over this movie.😂 Come on you three. Better than the first and every way and literally the most perfect portrayal of who Ace is.
When I was a kid, I didn't know that they parodied another movie in the intro, but then I went on a Stallone movie binge years later and realized that Ace Ventura spoiled Cliffhanger for me with the shot for shot intro 😂 And you guys just made me realize that Ace's fear of bats was probably another meta joke since this came out right after Batman Forever. Shikaka 🦇
The guy you're talking about with the bird tiki, he was the warden in Shawshank Redemption, also in demolition man with Stallone. Can't remember a few others
Maybe because of your age but you guys missed several movie references. Both Ace Ventura movies are equally funny but I laughed a little more on the Ace Ventura 2.
The memories of watching this countless times as a kid. One question though, why was the mouse blurred out at 52:25? There wasn’t anything offensive in that clip. Just a mouse chewing its way out of a sofa/chair.
The reason Ace was acting a fool with the Monopoly Guy is because the lady had a dead fox as a scarf, which offended Ace. But Ace playing with the food is just him being a troll. 49:36 Watch the chess pieces. They disappear.

Always best to let a movie be what it is instead of wanting it to be something it isn’t. And appreciating what it’s going for, in this case a crazy cartoony comedy!
21:00 lol he's literally had the reason for over the past 10 minutes.😂 The way the guy treated the horse, the way the woman was wearing dead animals around her, like this damn trophy room the guy had literally everything these snobby think I'm better than everyone people were doing or reasons for him to be stupid and insult them. It was literally doing to them what they were doing to the animals all the while talking to them like they're stupid
21:06 Nope, wrong. He was already mad at them for the whole big rich assholes and how they are fine with how they treat the horse during polo. That can be seen by the whipping of the guy.
Such a quotable film. The bumpy road gag in the beginning and the allrighty then mantra are my favourites. Fortunately my partner likes Carrey because the mantra comes back regularly 😂
I’m sorry to hear about you losing your job, Aaron. I know that can be a tough situation. Keep your head up. I hope the best for you in the near future
The actor who plays the "hunter with the hat" is Bruce Spence and he is actually Australian. He played in Mad Max 2 and 3. He also played the "Mouth of Sauron" in LOTR: ROTK, the "Train Man" in Matrix: Revolutions and he also had a role in Star Wars Episode III.

The two guys who stole the bat..the tall one is Bruce Spence, who IS in fact a New Zealand-Australian actor, and also starred in The Road Warrior and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
Came here to boost this information.
He also played in the show legend of the seeker and inspector gadget 2, also pirates of the Caribbean dead man tell no tells
Bruce Spence was also in the Matrix Revolutions.
Bruce also played Zedd on Legend of the Seeker and a small part in Revenge of the Sith(the alien that told Obi Wan where Grievous was)
@@Vincent8190X And the Mouth of Sauron!
"Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something."
Also, I don't think Aaron liked this one 😂
this movie went triple platinum in my house ever since i got it
Dang, these guys are such a drag. And they miss a lot of really obvious things, like how Ace knew exactly who those people in the party were by witnessing them abusing animals and wearing dead animals is fashion. Yikes
Soooo….Clearly “Cliffhanger” needs to be added to the watchlist. Lol
He has a reason to be more turnt up in here .. He failed the racoon and it died and he spent time trying to rehabilitate himself on top of a pyramid with monks that don't even want him there .. 🤣🤣🤣
That is a good point. And the first place he goes is a place they mistreat animals 😂
@323brooks Exactly.. 🤣
@@323brooks 🤣🤣
Andrew should realize that this movie came out in the 90s and was targeted towards teens. The over the top acting appealed to me as a 12 yo when it came out. Don't be so offended all the time bud.
Yeah I cried laughing when I first saw it as a kid, so it was ironic them talking about Carrey putting on a childish performance as if that's a bad thing cuz that's the best way to view it
They are from Cali lol you shouldn't expect more from them.
Hmm I think you kinda misunderstand Ace
Even in the first movie he did things without reason, like how he acted out a message to Starfleet while investigating Snowflake's tank, or the "I just can't do it captain, I don't HAVE THE POWERRRR". Or him doing the mission impossible thing to check out that house of that one rich guy.
He's always extra, always overtly annoying. That's his thing.
This is hands down my favorite Ace Ventura movie!! It's fn hilarious. ❤
Ace was acting like a jerk at that party because the people sucked. And he knew what they were about. How did you guys miss that??
Have to disagree with you guys to me this one is just a different vibe compared to the first one and to me that's what's good about it and I think the story does work really well as entertaining around Jim Carrey's comedy as it's alot more slapstick we're the first one isn't as much but I've always liked them both and the mood ever hits I'd watch either one that's another thing to with the second one is I think you have to be in the right mood to watch it but that's just my opinion
They even said in the first one that the world was the strait man and he was the wild card
I get the feeling no one here has ever seen Cliffhanger with Stallone. They will never be able to take the opening of that film seriously after this😂
I have seen it 😊
@gytonevans I meant the reactors
@jamesgatz4490 oh 😁
The rhino scene will always kill me 😂😂😂😂😂 imagine going to a zoo and seeing that😂😂😂😂
He didn't need to see the "Room of death" first, he saw them whipping horses.... and wearing animal skins.....is that already not a reason!?
Maybe the reactors don’t look down on those things or see them as normal, so it didn’t occur to them that those things are more than enough reason for Ace (an animal lover) to not like them? But yeah, I’m totally on Ace’s side on this one.
8:23 This is a parody of Sylvester Stallone's underrated "Cliffhanger"
Thank you 👍 not mission impossible
"Why was that raccoon flying that plane?" Coy missed a prime Rocket Raccoon joke here.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG SCENE ❤
He completely improvised that btw
I love the look of horror Greenwall gives him as it dawns on him that his life is in the hands of this madman behind the wheel.
To this day whenever I am in an extremely hot or muggy place I ALWAYS think of the mechanical rhino scene and say to myself WAAARM!!! Also I die laughing when he get the spears in the legs.🤣🤣🤣
Same
I think Ace was pissed as soon as he saw the horse being whipped, then the fur ...
There's no Ace Venture Jr. There's no Ace Venture Jr. There's no Ace Venture Jr....
In the summer I’m always quoting… “Kinda hot in these rhinooooos” 😂
Also, “like a glove!” when I park terribly 😁😭 EASILY the most quotable movie EVER.
You guys there was nothing wrong with this film . perfectly understandable his entire character from even the beginning.
I hate to say it but y'all lost cred over this movie.😂 Come on you three. Better than the first and every way and literally the most perfect portrayal of who Ace is.
When I was a kid, I didn't know that they parodied another movie in the intro, but then I went on a Stallone movie binge years later and realized that Ace Ventura spoiled Cliffhanger for me with the shot for shot intro 😂
And you guys just made me realize that Ace's fear of bats was probably another meta joke since this came out right after Batman Forever.
Shikaka 🦇
Let's gooooo! The Rhino robot scene is a classic 😂 that might be one of the most famous ace Ventura memes put there lol
i like this way more than the first movie
The guy you're talking about with the bird tiki, he was the warden in Shawshank Redemption, also in demolition man with Stallone. Can't remember a few others
I’m surprised they didn’t catch that he played the Owl in the Netflix Daredevil
He’s also in the first Blade movie
@@aronmick659 nope. I think you are thinking of Udo Kier
Bob gunton
Maybe because of your age but you guys missed several movie references. Both Ace Ventura movies are equally funny but I laughed a little more on the Ace Ventura 2.
Yes! I was hoping you'd watch the second movie ❤
Bumblebee tuna.
The memories of watching this countless times as a kid. One question though, why was the mouse blurred out at 52:25? There wasn’t anything offensive in that clip. Just a mouse chewing its way out of a sofa/chair.
I was wondering the same thing, that's odd.
This channel tends to overly censor everything.
Coy - "Yes, this is mission imposible"
All the viewers - "nope, no it isnt"
This is an Ace Ventura movie and the dude on the right is analyzing it like its Kubrick 😅
4:50 Cliffhanger starting Sylvester Stallone
Definitely
The guy on the left was right... this could've been made into an Evil Dead movie! Bumblebee Tuna 😅
The reason Ace was acting a fool with the Monopoly Guy is because the lady had a dead fox as a scarf, which offended Ace. But Ace playing with the food is just him being a troll.
49:36 Watch the chess pieces. They disappear.
Noticed John has been a bit down lately. Hope everything is ok and whatever it is you’re going through will pass 💯. We, the fans, appreciate you and love you dearly as we do the rest of the rejects as well. Sending love and positivity towards Aaron as well, it sucks to hear you lost your job but like I’m pretty sure you’ve heard thousands of times, when one door closes another one opens my guy 🗣️. Keep your head up King! All of you! 🙏🏻❤️
A movie i will randomly quote to this day 😂😂
"Excuse me sir your balls are showing" 😂
This one is my favorite. It's so funny!
Bumblebee Tuna
This one had me laughing more it’s just crazy 😂😂that rhino scene is top tier Jim Carrey I don’t care about reason lmao
34:33 I always look forward to reactions to the plate scratching scene and seeing reactors immediately take their headphones off.🤣🤣🤣
“PLEASE! Don’t get up.”
The opening scene is a parody of a Stallone movie Cliffhanger
An usher came up to my dad in the cinema when we saw this and asked him to be quiet or leave he was laughing so hard at the opening scene with the birds…..hungry little fella.
What did they expect at a comedy?
A haughty mouth covered "huhuhuhu. How delightful!" ???
Seems like you guys didn’t want to let yourselves have fun with this one! This felt very judgy, like you guys took pride in being a tough crowd, which is a shame.
Always funny when people overanalyze movies like this. This is, and will always be, the best one. :D
It’s absolutely pathetic
21:06
Nope, wrong. He was already mad at them for the whole big rich assholes and how they are fine with how they treat the horse during polo. That can be seen by the whipping of the guy.
Normally I’m all about y’all’s criticism, but you would be and are wrong- this movie is A1
Jesus Christ the framing of the screen. What are you talking about. Watch the damn good film. Everyone is an expert
6:00 You have no idea how perfect a comparison Ace Ventura and Jimmy Neutron is, because they were both directed/co-created by Steve Oedekerk!
This watch along was sabotaged by the awkward intro putting everyone in the wrong mindset to go along for the ride.
Ace doesn't need a plot.
Such a quotable film. The bumpy road gag in the beginning and the allrighty then mantra are my favourites. Fortunately my partner likes Carrey because the mantra comes back regularly 😂
This was definitely my favorite of the 2. We watched it a lot back in the day & everybody quoted it & did Jim Carey impressions 😂
I’m sorry to hear about you losing your job, Aaron. I know that can be a tough situation. Keep your head up. I hope the best for you in the near future
This is the first time I’ve ever noticed him say “Shawshank Redemption” which is funny considering the Warden is in this.
A few short decades later... how we all feeling about ACE VENTURA 2???
Still good
NATRUE CALLS?
I think it's better then the first one and that's saying alot lol
Remembered more scenes in this one compared to the first.
Just remember Jim Carrey hated doing sequels at the time and he chose to do this so he knew it was a banger lol
It’s funny you guys said what you said, because tons of people like this one better than the first one
🦇 21:14 ➡ THIS IS CARREY'S NEXT MOVIE AFTER PLAYING THE RIDDLER IN "BATMAN FOREVER" (1995) WHERE HE LOSES HIS MIND AND BECOMES TERRIFIED OF BATS! 🤔
Once Aaron say wow wow wow I know he's not liking the film.
