What is the big thing about e start for track bikes I’ve never had a e start bike ever I’m not a track star by any stretch but is kick starting a bike really that hard........ especially the new 4 strokes it’s not like your trying to start an old 426 lol all the new riders will have twigs for right legs lol
Pat Shore dude when you’re exhausted and the bike is hot as hell, the e-start is a godsend if you kill it on a corner or something like laying it over. Get up and bam! Off you go. I’ve kicked many bikes to the moon exhausted from a moto and been so pissed cuz it won’t start

Since it's the 20th anniversary of Yamaha's 4 stroke motocross bike, why not have a shootout? Put a 1998 yz400f budget build against the 2018 yz450f. You might think that's stupid, but what does 20 years of r&d get you? I've ridden the first generation yzf and I didn't like the frame geometry, but I have never ridden a fuel injected motocross bike. I'm baffled that Yamaha hasn't found the bread and butter for the 450, like they have with the 250f.

E start is good if are running for the championship.
Otherwise kickstart is better for me because you dont have to worry about the battery

It can be a little bit of a pain if you stall it and try to get it going in gear.

Just an opinion. Watching the track part of the video, I think there's to much compression in the front forks. I ride yamaha too.
