something that does not get said enough is the YZF can go longer then most brands before needing a top end rebuild
Sleepy .Time that's not true they blow up just as easy.
@vevo - They only blow up if you have screwed something up or gone way past the service point. This goes for all fourstroke engines, the YZF can just got a bit longer before the service is required.
How many hours is the suggested top end rebuild interval..
@Nate Bennett mabey for a 2 stroke. Most people can go 100hrs before a top end. The biggest problem is valve clearance
the only MX 4-stroke
brand that almost never needs a valve adjustment, too.

MXA has close ties to "Dirt Bike" mag. Dirt Bike does both MX and Off road. MXA will always be motocross centric.
First of all, it is so obvious that you are not a fan of Yamaha and that you are not really informed about the changes. You talk that during the test you made some changes e.g. rear sprocket from 48T to 49T, but obviously you are not aware that the 19 yz450f does come with 49T sprocket. You also mentioned in your 18 yz450f video that the bike is heavier than the '17, which is not true... there are still more things to mention, but it is just sad that a media like you can't be unbiased... Check VitalMX and their reviews, you can learn a lot

VitalMX's shootout is flawed? Please.... They have 6 different guys (from novice to veteran) that test bikes on different tracks, they have professional dyno charts and bike weights, all of their riders give their own opinion and much more... MXA put nowhere near the effort...Btw, Vital's biggest sponsor out of all bike manufacturers is KTM and yet they stayed unbiased, while the same can't be said for MXA...
This isn't just about Yamaha... All KTM/Husqvarna videos only brag about how good they are and never mention anything bad about them (yes, there are a lot of things they can improve on..), while they barely say anything good about Japanese bikes...
So why is it important for how long have they been testing bikes? Since they started, they have upped the game for everyone.. Because you haven't heard of them, that is your problem as one of the tester was Roczen's trainer and most of them have quite a good background... And what you think how the results should be is completely irrelative and only shows who the fanboy is...
The most experience? So I guess changing the stock rear 48T sprocket on 2019 yz450f (it actually comes with 49T) with new 49T really tells everything... LMAO
@Moto3 oneone "We switched stock 48T rear sprocket for 49T" and yet the stock YZ450F 2019 rear sprocket is 49T..
And when you don't have any more arguments, you start calling others dumb, guess that also says everything..

I can agree with the stock map feeling lean. it backfires a lot on stock trim. I made a special map on mine to really help it out

This bikes won the 2019 Vital MX shootout. KTM got 5th. MXA is always way biased towards KTM

10k frqs/g=9in =1,111 frqs sec inches-- transverses-- runs into vibrations-- or becomes. Mapped ignition-- is really tested, improves as well. AKA Ford Raptor-- smart cylinders.
Maybe a better valve is, needed. Material fx consistency-- frqs are always, plural couples.
I don't understand new bikes... Why would anyone want to now have to worry about a battery? I miss being able to just kick start and go.
Its all about time in new race bikes. A electric START bike can be restarted while your standing in up after a crash. Kickstart bikes need to be uprighted. Climb onto it. Open the kicker. Then kick till it fires then close the kicker. In racing time is everything. For us who ride race bikes for off rd fun or novice racing kick starts are fine. But race bikes are built with the podium in mind not joe blow trail rider guy.....

Why are super motos maintenance determined by the hours ridden rather than miles ?
Because its easier to estimate how many hours you've ridden rather than try to figure out how man miles

Finally someone tells the truth about the Yamaha 450.. it's not as good as everyone says it is. They vibrate like shit and feel like shit to ride. Cooper Webb cant even make it work.
