Thanks! I've recently started climbing at a gym having not climbed since university. I find drills helpful in my main sport, running, so looking forward to trying these out. I'm getting to grips with V2 across the gym and starting to try V3s. Getting my head round I have leg strength aplenty to boulder, just need to develop an awareness of how to utilise it more efficiently. My forearms no longer feel trashed the day after a session now!

That's awesome! I also came from a sport with lots of drills (tennis), so I was also happy that these gave me that similar feeling of structure that I think more developed sports have. Hope they help :)

@@BetaBoiBrandon Thanks. Keep posting, UA-cam suggested your video after watching a couple of others for novices. Be great to see the channel grow.

    Reminder for myself:
    1. Platform builder
    2. Backstep & corkscrew
    3. Straight arm, bendy body
    4. Heel hook every move

Working with a new batch of beginners atm, and the amount and quality of content compared to when i started 15-20 years ago is astounding. Nevertheless, you have found a niche here, and introducing the concepts as drills is helpful. Will share to the group who are just starting to cement v2 and make inroads into v3.

I'm a newbie to climbing, but I really enjoy the sport and want to encorporate some drills into each gym session, so that I can hopefully progress quickly and get rid of some bad habits early on. This video was great!! Can't wait to try out some of these drills tomorrow!

Great video. The quality is so good (writing, camera, editing), I was surprised to go to your channel and realise you're just starting out. Sad to have only 3 videos to watch, but excited to see what comes next.

Hi, I don't usually comment on youtube videos, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Even comparing your content to some much larger channels I prefer your content! (although of course it's nice to see all sorts of climbing content grow!). I'm going to recommend your videos as much as I can to people and I really hope your channel grows!! Can't wait to try these! I've recently got bicep tendonitis from climbing which forces me to not rely on upper body strength, and I realise just how much technique gaps I have due to just brute-forcing everything! While I wait for my arm to heal I'll focus on developing proper footwork and revisiting easier climbs to try do them more elegantly. Thanks for sharing these tips!
