Well, it's an interesting coincidence then, kinda. Maybe we'll see similar stuff in the Switch version since Basil seems to be playable, who knows? Some people indeed mentioned how the Chronophobia one in particular would be for Basil, since he fears change a lot, and I can also easily see how Somniphobia could be one of his fears (since he seems to have trouble sleeping and afraid of what lies within his own mind). It's quite curious for Plakidiophobia though, since it's a quite specific phobia and I didn't really base it on anything from the game (aside from the fear boss pattern ofc); but oh welp.
I love how Plakidiophobia is a constant beat, just like how tiles are just a bunch of squares or other shapes on the floor with little to no variation from tile to tile.
Oh welp, I tried my best to make it feel as scary as I could since this is one of my deepest fears - I wanted to retranscribe the dread it gives, and apparently it seems to have worked at least a bit! Thank you for the feedback :)
I love plakidophobia because the more you listen the more you feel the fear, it feels as you are trapped in a public bathroom or even an asylum. it sound as someone is banging on tiles while groaning in fear and disgust, maybe even sounds like gagging. it gets louder and louder, making you feel trapped in itself. the visual part is literally the fear in visual form, the stuff on the walls, ceiling, It feels gross. I love this so much and sorry the late comment i just came across this a few days ago :)

you did a great job on all three! i love the thought you put into each one, it really shows. also, those estimations were certainly correct! my favorite part of the plakidophobia track in both versions is definitely the ending, it's all just so overwhelming, perfectly representing fear building into panic. i myself actually have some ideas on fanmade fear bosses, ive found phobias themselves to be pretty fascinating, to the point where im even working on a story that heavily revolves around them! but that's besides the point, i have no idea if i'll ever actually upload my boss ideas as videos, but i'll more than likely draw them! keep up the good work, i'm excited for more of your fanmade projects!

Ah yes, something I love about the Phobia’s in Omori is that they have parts that sound like the noises and sounds and sensations associated with the phobia’s, For Acrophobia, you hear a descending noise that sounds like the sound you get when, usually in shows, like to portray falling from great heights. Listening to it makes you feel nauseous, like you’re feeling vertigo yourself. Arachnophobia is different, instead of a descending feeling, making you go in and out of focus with your surroundings, it’s a soft, deep, purring sound. A lot of people don’t know this, but spiders purr at a frequency we cannot hear, it’s a sort of echolocation for them as they sit on their web, because they can sense if an insect has been caught by using vibrations. It’s terrifying. For Thalassophobia, we hear muffled sounds, like that of going in and out of water, like you’re struggling to breathe, and your body is sinking. With absolutely nothing below you, you are sinking. You hear chatter in the distance, is it laughing? It sounds like something is mocking you. I felt this way when I was younger, when I learned to swim, I one time fell into the deep end, and my siblings were laughing at me flailing and thrashing in the water. Somniphobia holds up to the fear, it’s a irrational fear of falling asleep, this can happen for a number of reasons, you could be afraid of nightmares, or being murdered in your sleep, or sleep paralysis, or you simply hate the idea of being unconscious while you’re supposed to be awake. I love how the music gets louder on occasion, then slips away, then comes back randomly. It’s what it feels like to be sleepy, but you’re denying the feeling because you’re afraid of dying in your sleep. Chronophobia, the concept of time is terrifying, it’s eternal, there is so much time and there isn’t enough time left for you. Time changes things constantly, each second you stray further from when you were happy, it slips through you’re fingers when you least expect it to, it’s so horrifying how the future is undetermined, and how you aren’t aware of what you’re future could be, and how desperately you want it to be a certain way. Your interpretation of the fear of time is so powerful, I love the wavering feeling, it makes you feel as though you’re lost in a spiral, you don’t know if you have been wasting your life obsessing over time, and no matter what you do, time ticks forwards at a constant speed, and you have nothing in your position to go against that. You’ve wasted so much time obsessing over time, it’s like you’re trapped in a never ending nightmare, cursed to see time continue while you can’t do anything. Plakidiophobia is something so deep, at first, you think that it’s not a big deal, it’s just tiling, but it’s those intersecting lines, those small empty spaces in between, you cannot tell where you are, everything looks so manufactured, like a prison cell in which the spaces in between the bars are ensnaring you, not the bars themselves. And the addition of having sounds of low pieces of metal grinding, it feels so rusty and unsanitary. And the groaning sounds, you don’t know what’s up and down anymore. All you feel is terror. You can’t tell where the floor ends and the walls start, and no matter where you are in the room, it looks identical compared to anywhere else. It’s a nightmare you cannot escape from.
A speculation of Hero in headspace wearing pajamas normally is that it's probably because he finds it hard to sleep after Mari's death (I read about it somewhere)@@tespheract
1:00 me after the insane asylum i was thrown in was shut down and forgot about me (they dont know that i am infinitely trapped in stasis, stopping my brain from completely shutting down while i am a rotting bag of meat slowly growing in symbiosis with the mold and fungus, rapidly making my presence bigger and bigger while i have to stare at the floor for eternity)
I feel like BASIL would have a fear of tiles, as if they tried to tell anyone that SOMETHING is haunting them, they might think he's crazy. Here, it's taken to the extreme, where BASIL imagines himself in an insane asylum kind of room because if he tries to tell anyone about SOMETHING, what if they call him insane? Delirious? Mad?
Hello, sadly as I mentioned in the pinned comment I won't be making new fanmade fear bosses for a while (at least a year) since I have many other planned stuff I want/have to finish before; but these are cool ideas (I did think of making Hylophobia at some point, but Dendrophobia could've worked too, although I prioritized these 3 first ones as I had a better idea of what they felt like). @@tespheract I know, but I usually come for the custom phobias And also, I think dendro and necrophobia would be good because it could connect to mari, because she was hanged on a tree and she was also dead (accidentally killed by sunny when she was arguing with him) when she was hanged by basil.

Fun fact, each has been made differently, with the Somniphobia one being a modified version of a bed's picture I took, Chronophobia's background being a modified version of the door picture in the first Omori trailer, and finally, Plakidiophobia's background has been made from scratch, to make its Something's design feel more integrated to it.
The fear of forgetting others/being forgotten? That'd be an interesting one to make, indeed... My guess would be to aim for a sort of misremembered, broken and sometimes silent version of the phobia track, with a vibe similar to Everywhere At The End Of Time (especially the latter stages).
Chronophobia slaps! I can imagine the fight being on a timer, especially for the rematch with Omori and the Headspace gang. It’s hands could tick forward at the end of every turn, or it could even have a real-time timer and, if it expires, the fight becomes nigh unbeatable, as SOMETHING proceeds to spam a devastating area attack. “SOMETHING’s hands strike 12! Time’s Up!” “SOMETHING chimes loudly!” “Everyone takes 1430 damage!” “HERO became TOAST!” “KEL became TOAST!” “AUBREY became TOAST!” “OMORI did not succumb.” Maybe the clock’s pendulum could even be a separate target, and dealing damage to it would buy you extra time (say, 1 second per 100 damage?). But damaging the pendulum wouldn’t lower the boss’s HP, so extending the fight means the actual boss would have more opportunity to damage you. The pendulum would be unkillable
I'm really liking this idea! maybe have it more balanced by having a few more secs per 100 damage? as i feel it'd be a bit too unfair if attacking it takes 5 secs to only give one. Now i don't rember how much damage headspace gang deals during late game x) balancing is a matter of testing anyways, but the concept is nice.
@@tespheract I mean some of their harder hitting attacks can easily do 1000 damage but yeah 2 or 3 seconds per 100 damage would be more fair, now that I think about it. I was mostly thinking about how Run N' Gun Nukes can do like 9,999 damage in one hit, which would equate to 99 seconds, but they can also take a while to set up so it might be fine. And they're OP anyway, so I guess doesn't matter too much if they're OP in that way.

I can see why you arrived at that conclusion but I'd like to argue a bit with it. Aside from extreme cases like chronic panic, somniphobia doesn't fully prevent one from sleeping but rather makes the idea of sleeping much more daunting and scary than it should be, usually resulting in occasional insomnia and reduction of effective sleep duration. However, it doesn't prevent one from shaping an alternate world in their mind, or even from making them refuse to sleep. Believe it or not, it was actually during a part of my life where I slept the most that somniphobia got the worst for me - it was also the period where I enclosed myself the most into imaginary worlds (not exclusively through sleeping though). A last thing I'd like to mention (which is much less rooted in fact though since I don't have strong evidence for it - it's rather just an open question to me) is whether or not Sunny is actually sleeping during all of the headspace sections. There is good evidence that there are parts where he's sleeping (such as the parts alongside the sleep paralysis bosses, King Crawler and King Carnivore), but during moments of enclosure in my life I remember that being asleep and being awake were _much less_ neatly separated, and were rather mixing in weird ways. I could be awake but laying in bed and having my mind wander through imagination as powerfully as during a dream (literally "daydreaming", kinda); in a sense, a possible hint at this for how Sunny also had this mix of both is with how he even starts imaginary battles in the game store or at the secret hideout against the recycultists. So yeah, I don't think somniphobia would automatically prevent headspace from existing. At least, I know that was the case for me, but I can't say if that'd be the case for Sunny, too... Anyways, I know this may be a way-too-long reply on the topic (hopefully you don't mind!), but I just really enjoy taking a dive in these kinds of reasonings. Also making it clear, I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wanna bring another possible reasoning on the table.
@@tespheract yeah, i get your point. When I was about 4 years old, my mom and dad divorced, and, pf course i was (and i still am) scarred emotionally. Feeling the emptiness of not being complete, it wad a void that had to be filled with something. Guess what was that thing? Videogames. They helped me going through hard times. Similar to what you said, I'm a bit of a daydreamer myself, always escaping reality in these imaginary worlds... I never actually had troubles sleeping nor I had Somniphobia, but when my parents yelled at me for anything, those nights I could barely sleep. Plus I'm still scared of the dark :). The whole idea of that movement was inspired by my cases irl, where dreams and imagination helped me through hard times. Well here's my conclusion.

Oh my god. These are absolutely perfect for a Basil AU. Somniphobia fits because he would have a lot of trouble sleeping with coming to terms that he hung Mari. Chronophobia would fit as well as Basil would worry about time passing on and sooner or later, his guilt will be more extreme. And Plakidiophobia would fit better as Claustrophobia since his Something would always appear whenever he has to go to the bathroom and it’s filled with tiles and is cramped, making Basil feels like he’s in one of those asylum rooms.
The Plakidiophobia section is TERRIFYING, good lord. I hate having to traverse unhygienic/septic-related public spaces with a passion, so hearing the audio and seeing that visual made me feel like I had been sealed in the most sickening, disease-ridden washroom known to man.

Thanks! For the two latter ones, I intentionally tried to make so that both the sped up and slow versions would be intimidating in their ways. For now, as I mentioned in the pinned comment, I'll stop making phobia songs mainly because I have plenty of other things I wanna work on (and having 3 done to match the game was to my eyes a good way to end it, along the sped-up mashup), but maybe someday in the future I'll do some again, probably not for the near one lol. In the meantime I'm remaining curious to see what other phobias will be made by the Omori community :)

Your mind overloading, with all the possible negative outcomes with what will happen to you, you decide, "maybe I'll rinse my face with water, hopefully it works..." As you walk out your room, you can't help but notice the clock... ticking away... You can't help but feel anxious, you don't know when or where but... something will happen, and time will tell, you see the clock, ticking away, you fear what will happen, you fear if anything will happen, your mind fills with thoughts again, what could happen? Again you remember, maybe rinsing your face with water will work... Your tired mind, tired from exhaustion from today, and what has been happening, deciding to walk to the nearest bathroom, closing the door behind you, then the lights turn on, and you see what your fear... Once again... The tiles, on the floor, on the walls, on the ceiling... They're everywhere.... You look behind you, the door disappeared, where did it go... Are you trapped here forever? Is there an escape, you cry out for help, seeing if anyone will answer your plead, but your call only fills the darkness, you bang on the walls, pleading, banging as hard as you could, screaming like a Banshee, hoping someone would find you and save you... You ball up, closing your eyes from it all, is this the escape you were looking for? Close your eyes and it will be fine... It will be okay... *Everything will be okay...* I had fun writing this, but does it portray the fears well? Or...

Imo, Somniphobia is the most terrifying due to it not really having a "beat". The original and other fanmade ones usually have a beat attatched to them which kind of makes them less... Creepy? But Somniphobia? It's only a hollow melody, as if it's only in a dream.
i tried my best to make them each scary for different reasons, and the lack of a heavy thud felt more fitting for that feeling of drifting into sleep for somniphobia :) so, glad you got it!
yeah, I don't even know how, currently working on another fanmade phobia and I'm struggling to make it sound as good lol... Also the basis material is already quite a banger so I guess that helps

I have a pretty cool phobia idea. Linophobia: fear of ropes Design: a tree with tons of eyes in the leaves with a noose and a hanging body. The body is just the head/thorax in the arachnophobia design. *something hanging stares soullessly at you.* you are afraid *something hanging catches you.* damage *something stangles you.* this lowers all stats. New move you get: accept. This lets you think of things that heal you in the OMORI boss fight. You fight it at the end of the truth map, once you get the final photo/ replaces ???/…
Right so, I listened to the original Agoraphobia (using the 3 osts) and I love the thematic cohesion here as well Somniphobia oscillates like the tone of an alarm clock Chronophobia clicks and snaps back and forth like hands ticking on a clock, or the march of a grandfather clock Plakidiophobia, to me (while a little harder to nail down) sounds reminiscent of porcelain or some other tile material being shattered My favorite instance is Somniphobia, but I wanna get on how well Plakidiophobia was drawn, especially for a more esoteric fear. My interpretation of it is, beyond a fear of tiles or places with a tile pattern, is that this something represents the fear of being seen as insane (it really reminds me of a padded cell).
Thanks haha. Also, I mean, I guess there could be a way to make them fit the Omari AU; initially I based them off my own personal phobias so I could have a better idea of what I was aiming to depict in sound and image.
Trying to do a description of all of them Somniphobia : a bed with tentacles (similar to something in the water’s “seaweeds”) and a large , gaping mouth with 2 rows of teeth and the classic something eye in the middle (there is also a distorted version of the face arachnophobia and acrophobia had) The music sound like a distorted sound you could hear in nightmares Chronophobia : a clock but it’s pitch black and it seems to move like a spiral, this is basically a clock but something’ed The music sound like the classic sound of a clock. Plakidiophobia : a room full of tiles (it’s plakidiophobia after all, there MUST be tiles) there is a humanoid creature with two eyes (one significantly larger than the other) a large mouth and lastly a giant claw like hand , there are also some mini somethings hanging from the ceiling ( Referring to the origin of something) the music sounds like noises you would hear in a bathroom, and bathroom floors are commonly made out of tiles All of them (with the soundtrack to ) are pure genius
haha yeah, i remember trying to include a few elements like the stuff you'd hear while slowly falling asleep although things still happen around the house (chimes tuning in, a piano being played etc)
Somniphobia - You feel SOMETHING coil around your head... Chronophobia - You feel SOMETHING slip by... Plakidiophobia - You see SOMETHING in the mirror...
that means a lot :) it's one of the things i try the hardest when making fanmade stuff, to get it seem like it would be plausible as official material.

Well, it's an interesting coincidence then, kinda. Maybe we'll see similar stuff in the Switch version since Basil seems to be playable, who knows?
Some people indeed mentioned how the Chronophobia one in particular would be for Basil, since he fears change a lot, and I can also easily see how Somniphobia could be one of his fears (since he seems to have trouble sleeping and afraid of what lies within his own mind). It's quite curious for Plakidiophobia though, since it's a quite specific phobia and I didn't really base it on anything from the game (aside from the fear boss pattern ofc); but oh welp.

I love how Plakidiophobia is a constant beat, just like how tiles are just a bunch of squares or other shapes on the floor with little to no variation from tile to tile.
it's a constant beat and i think it's meant to visualize as the tiles get bigger, and bigger (doubled each beat)

I love plakidophobia because the more you listen the more you feel the fear, it feels as you are trapped in a public bathroom or even an asylum. it sound as someone is banging on tiles while groaning in fear and disgust, maybe even sounds like gagging. it gets louder and louder, making you feel trapped in itself. the visual part is literally the fear in visual form, the stuff on the walls, ceiling, It feels gross. I love this so much and sorry the late comment i just came across this a few days ago :)
don't worry about being "late"! I'm glad you like it, I really tried my best to convey the fear of tiles through that third custom fear boss. You're right about the tapping and the screaming; they can even be interpreted differently whether you're listening to the sped-up or the slow version...

also, those estimations were certainly correct! my favorite part of the plakidophobia track in both versions is definitely the ending, it's all just so overwhelming, perfectly representing fear building into panic.
i myself actually have some ideas on fanmade fear bosses, ive found phobias themselves to be pretty fascinating, to the point where im even working on a story that heavily revolves around them! but that's besides the point, i have no idea if i'll ever actually upload my boss ideas as videos, but i'll more than likely draw them! keep up the good work, i'm excited for more of your fanmade projects!

It's neat if you are working on a phobia-related project, I've always thought that their potential in stories were underestimated or misused, so I'm glad to hear other persons are working on such things. Good luck for making your own fanmade fear bosses, don't hesitate to tell me if you ever share it somewhere, I'm curious to see what you have in mind for them - and also good luck if you ever get to bring them to the state of videos (no pressure though)! If you ever need some tips for making sound/animation for them, feel free to ask, I'd be glad to help if it is needed.

Ah yes, something I love about the Phobia’s in Omori is that they have parts that sound like the noises and sounds and sensations associated with the phobia’s,
For Acrophobia, you hear a descending noise that sounds like the sound you get when, usually in shows, like to portray falling from great heights. Listening to it makes you feel nauseous, like you’re feeling vertigo yourself.
Arachnophobia is different, instead of a descending feeling, making you go in and out of focus with your surroundings, it’s a soft, deep, purring sound. A lot of people don’t know this, but spiders purr at a frequency we cannot hear, it’s a sort of echolocation for them as they sit on their web, because they can sense if an insect has been caught by using vibrations. It’s terrifying.
For Thalassophobia, we hear muffled sounds, like that of going in and out of water, like you’re struggling to breathe, and your body is sinking. With absolutely nothing below you, you are sinking. You hear chatter in the distance, is it laughing? It sounds like something is mocking you. I felt this way when I was younger, when I learned to swim, I one time fell into the deep end, and my siblings were laughing at me flailing and thrashing in the water.
Somniphobia holds up to the fear, it’s a irrational fear of falling asleep, this can happen for a number of reasons, you could be afraid of nightmares, or being murdered in your sleep, or sleep paralysis, or you simply hate the idea of being unconscious while you’re supposed to be awake. I love how the music gets louder on occasion, then slips away, then comes back randomly. It’s what it feels like to be sleepy, but you’re denying the feeling because you’re afraid of dying in your sleep.
Chronophobia, the concept of time is terrifying, it’s eternal, there is so much time and there isn’t enough time left for you. Time changes things constantly, each second you stray further from when you were happy, it slips through you’re fingers when you least expect it to, it’s so horrifying how the future is undetermined, and how you aren’t aware of what you’re future could be, and how desperately you want it to be a certain way. Your interpretation of the fear of time is so powerful, I love the wavering feeling, it makes you feel as though you’re lost in a spiral, you don’t know if you have been wasting your life obsessing over time, and no matter what you do, time ticks forwards at a constant speed, and you have nothing in your position to go against that. You’ve wasted so much time obsessing over time, it’s like you’re trapped in a never ending nightmare, cursed to see time continue while you can’t do anything.
Plakidiophobia is something so deep, at first, you think that it’s not a big deal, it’s just tiling, but it’s those intersecting lines, those small empty spaces in between, you cannot tell where you are, everything looks so manufactured, like a prison cell in which the spaces in between the bars are ensnaring you, not the bars themselves. And the addition of having sounds of low pieces of metal grinding, it feels so rusty and unsanitary. And the groaning sounds, you don’t know what’s up and down anymore. All you feel is terror. You can’t tell where the floor ends and the walls start, and no matter where you are in the room, it looks identical compared to anywhere else. It’s a nightmare you cannot escape from.

1:00 me after the insane asylum i was thrown in was shut down and forgot about me (they dont know that i am infinitely trapped in stasis, stopping my brain from completely shutting down while i am a rotting bag of meat slowly growing in symbiosis with the mold and fungus, rapidly making my presence bigger and bigger while i have to stare at the floor for eternity)
I feel like BASIL would have a fear of tiles, as if they tried to tell anyone that SOMETHING is haunting them, they might think he's crazy. Here, it's taken to the extreme, where BASIL imagines himself in an insane asylum kind of room because if he tries to tell anyone about SOMETHING, what if they call him insane? Delirious? Mad?

Hello, sadly as I mentioned in the pinned comment I won't be making new fanmade fear bosses for a while (at least a year) since I have many other planned stuff I want/have to finish before; but these are cool ideas (I did think of making Hylophobia at some point, but Dendrophobia could've worked too, although I prioritized these 3 first ones as I had a better idea of what they felt like). If you're interested, Mosquito already made a fanmade fear boss for trypanophobia (fear of needles), you can check it out if you haven't already :)

Fun fact, each has been made differently, with the Somniphobia one being a modified version of a bed's picture I took, Chronophobia's background being a modified version of the door picture in the first Omori trailer, and finally, Plakidiophobia's background has been made from scratch, to make its Something's design feel more integrated to it.

The fear of forgetting others/being forgotten? That'd be an interesting one to make, indeed... My guess would be to aim for a sort of misremembered, broken and sometimes silent version of the phobia track, with a vibe similar to Everywhere At The End Of Time (especially the latter stages).

I can imagine the fight being on a timer, especially for the rematch with Omori and the Headspace gang.
It’s hands could tick forward at the end of every turn, or it could even have a real-time timer and, if it expires, the fight becomes nigh unbeatable, as SOMETHING proceeds to spam a devastating area attack.
“SOMETHING’s hands strike 12! Time’s Up!”
“SOMETHING chimes loudly!”
“Everyone takes 1430 damage!”
“HERO became TOAST!”
“KEL became TOAST!”
“AUBREY became TOAST!”
“OMORI did not succumb.”
Maybe the clock’s pendulum could even be a separate target, and dealing damage to it would buy you extra time (say, 1 second per 100 damage?). But damaging the pendulum wouldn’t lower the boss’s HP, so extending the fight means the actual boss would have more opportunity to damage you. The pendulum would be unkillable
I'm really liking this idea! maybe have it more balanced by having a few more secs per 100 damage? as i feel it'd be a bit too unfair if attacking it takes 5 secs to only give one. Now i don't rember how much damage headspace gang deals during late game x) balancing is a matter of testing anyways, but the concept is nice.
@@tespheract I mean some of their harder hitting attacks can easily do 1000 damage but yeah 2 or 3 seconds per 100 damage would be more fair, now that I think about it.
I was mostly thinking about how Run N' Gun Nukes can do like 9,999 damage in one hit, which would equate to 99 seconds, but they can also take a while to set up so it might be fine. And they're OP anyway, so I guess doesn't matter too much if they're OP in that way.
Plakidiophobia is my favorite, I think it's a fear of isolation? Because the walls looks like those tiles from asylums

I can see why you arrived at that conclusion but I'd like to argue a bit with it. Aside from extreme cases like chronic panic, somniphobia doesn't fully prevent one from sleeping but rather makes the idea of sleeping much more daunting and scary than it should be, usually resulting in occasional insomnia and reduction of effective sleep duration. However, it doesn't prevent one from shaping an alternate world in their mind, or even from making them refuse to sleep.
Believe it or not, it was actually during a part of my life where I slept the most that somniphobia got the worst for me - it was also the period where I enclosed myself the most into imaginary worlds (not exclusively through sleeping though).
A last thing I'd like to mention (which is much less rooted in fact though since I don't have strong evidence for it - it's rather just an open question to me) is whether or not Sunny is actually sleeping during all of the headspace sections. There is good evidence that there are parts where he's sleeping (such as the parts alongside the sleep paralysis bosses, King Crawler and King Carnivore), but during moments of enclosure in my life I remember that being asleep and being awake were _much less_ neatly separated, and were rather mixing in weird ways. I could be awake but laying in bed and having my mind wander through imagination as powerfully as during a dream (literally "daydreaming", kinda); in a sense, a possible hint at this for how Sunny also had this mix of both is with how he even starts imaginary battles in the game store or at the secret hideout against the recycultists.
So yeah, I don't think somniphobia would automatically prevent headspace from existing. At least, I know that was the case for me, but I can't say if that'd be the case for Sunny, too...
Anyways, I know this may be a way-too-long reply on the topic (hopefully you don't mind!), but I just really enjoy taking a dive in these kinds of reasonings. Also making it clear, I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wanna bring another possible reasoning on the table.
@@tespheract yeah, i get your point. When I was about 4 years old, my mom and dad divorced, and, pf course i was (and i still am) scarred emotionally. Feeling the emptiness of not being complete, it wad a void that had to be filled with something. Guess what was that thing? Videogames. They helped me going through hard times. Similar to what you said, I'm a bit of a daydreamer myself, always escaping reality in these imaginary worlds... I never actually had troubles sleeping nor I had Somniphobia, but when my parents yelled at me for anything, those nights I could barely sleep.
Plus I'm still scared of the dark :).
The whole idea of that movement was inspired by my cases irl, where dreams and imagination helped me through hard times.
Well here's my conclusion.

Chronophobia would fit as well as Basil would worry about time passing on and sooner or later, his guilt will be more extreme.
And Plakidiophobia would fit better as Claustrophobia since his Something would always appear whenever he has to go to the bathroom and it’s filled with tiles and is cramped, making Basil feels like he’s in one of those asylum rooms.

The Plakidiophobia section is TERRIFYING, good lord. I hate having to traverse unhygienic/septic-related public spaces with a passion, so hearing the audio and seeing that visual made me feel like I had been sealed in the most sickening, disease-ridden washroom known to man.
Even the sped up songs are just as terrifying, great job! And I wanted to ask, do you plan on stopping here or continuing to make phobia songs periodically?
Thanks! For the two latter ones, I intentionally tried to make so that both the sped up and slow versions would be intimidating in their ways.
For now, as I mentioned in the pinned comment, I'll stop making phobia songs mainly because I have plenty of other things I wanna work on (and having 3 done to match the game was to my eyes a good way to end it, along the sped-up mashup), but maybe someday in the future I'll do some again, probably not for the near one lol. In the meantime I'm remaining curious to see what other phobias will be made by the Omori community :)

Your mind overloading, with all the possible negative outcomes with what will happen to you, you decide, "maybe I'll rinse my face with water, hopefully it works..."
As you walk out your room, you can't help but notice the clock... ticking away... You can't help but feel anxious, you don't know when or where but... something will happen, and time will tell, you see the clock, ticking away, you fear what will happen, you fear if anything will happen, your mind fills with thoughts again, what could happen? Again you remember, maybe rinsing your face with water will work...
Your tired mind, tired from exhaustion from today, and what has been happening, deciding to walk to the nearest bathroom, closing the door behind you, then the lights turn on, and you see what your fear... Once again... The tiles, on the floor, on the walls, on the ceiling... They're everywhere.... You look behind you, the door disappeared, where did it go... Are you trapped here forever? Is there an escape, you cry out for help, seeing if anyone will answer your plead, but your call only fills the darkness, you bang on the walls, pleading, banging as hard as you could, screaming like a Banshee, hoping someone would find you and save you...
You ball up, closing your eyes from it all, is this the escape you were looking for? Close your eyes and it will be fine...

Imo, Somniphobia is the most terrifying due to it not really having a "beat". The original and other fanmade ones usually have a beat attatched to them which kind of makes them less... Creepy? But Somniphobia? It's only a hollow melody, as if it's only in a dream.
i tried my best to make them each scary for different reasons, and the lack of a heavy thud felt more fitting for that feeling of drifting into sleep for somniphobia :) so, glad you got it!
chronophobia really hits hard
yeah, I don't even know how, currently working on another fanmade phobia and I'm struggling to make it sound as good lol... Also the basis material is already quite a banger so I guess that helps

I have a pretty cool phobia idea.
Linophobia: fear of ropes
Design: a tree with tons of eyes in the leaves with a noose and a hanging body. The body is just the head/thorax in the arachnophobia design.
*something hanging stares soullessly at you.* you are afraid
*something hanging catches you.* damage
*something stangles you.* this lowers all stats.
New move you get: accept. This lets you think of things that heal you in the OMORI boss fight.
You fight it at the end of the truth map, once you get the final photo/ replaces ???/…

Right so, I listened to the original Agoraphobia (using the 3 osts) and I love the thematic cohesion here as well
Somniphobia oscillates like the tone of an alarm clock
Chronophobia clicks and snaps back and forth like hands ticking on a clock, or the march of a grandfather clock
Plakidiophobia, to me (while a little harder to nail down) sounds reminiscent of porcelain or some other tile material being shattered
My favorite instance is Somniphobia, but I wanna get on how well Plakidiophobia was drawn, especially for a more esoteric fear. My interpretation of it is, beyond a fear of tiles or places with a tile pattern, is that this something represents the fear of being seen as insane (it really reminds me of a padded cell).
These phobias are such bangers... I wonder... if these could be phobias for Omari? It's possible.
Thanks haha. Also, I mean, I guess there could be a way to make them fit the Omari AU; initially I based them off my own personal phobias so I could have a better idea of what I was aiming to depict in sound and image.

Trying to do a description of all of them
Somniphobia : a bed with tentacles (similar to something in the water’s “seaweeds”) and a large , gaping mouth with 2 rows of teeth and the classic something eye in the middle (there is also a distorted version of the face arachnophobia and acrophobia had)
The music sound like a distorted sound you could hear in nightmares
Chronophobia : a clock but it’s pitch black and it seems to move like a spiral, this is basically a clock but something’ed

Plakidiophobia : a room full of tiles (it’s plakidiophobia after all, there MUST be tiles) there is a humanoid creature with two eyes (one significantly larger than the other) a large mouth and lastly a giant claw like hand , there are also some mini somethings hanging from the ceiling ( Referring to the origin of something) the music sounds like noises you would hear in a bathroom, and bathroom floors are commonly made out of tiles
All of them (with the soundtrack to ) are pure genius

haha yeah, i remember trying to include a few elements like the stuff you'd hear while slowly falling asleep although things still happen around the house (chimes tuning in, a piano being played etc)
