Explanation on all phobias meaning MYCOPHOBIA: fear of fungi CRONOPHOBIA fear of time passing SOMNIPHOBIA fear of sleeping PLAKIDIOPHOBIA fear of tiles HELIANTHOPHOBIA fear of sunflowers MEGALOPHOBIA fear of large objects NYCTOPHOBIA fear of darkness PHONOPHOBIA fear of loud sounds
2:31 This is terrifying. Idk if its because of the faint whistling of a home for sunflowers, or the fact that this is the most quiet out of all of them while still feeling...
Helianthophobia is absolute closest I have gotten to describing this anxiety I have with certain plants. I tend to think that plants are watching me and they have eyes and stuff and stuff like sunflowers or venus fly traps kinda trigger it. Part of me thinks it's a fear of mimicry, I hate it when animals have really convincing mimicry like leaf bugs and certain butterflies. When I was little I had this dream where I was walking through a dimly lit forest and I came upon a giant oak tree and I stared at it for a while before eyes suddenly opened from the tree and a creature mimicking the textures and shapes of the tree revealed itself. It didn't do anything, I just woke up, but I fucking despise that thing and I think about it a lot. It's like there are mimics hiding in plain sight everywhere now and they're scornfully looking at me. I would personally just call it a specific anxiety, hardly a phobia. Anyways that's a wrap on my schizo rant
Look, PLANTS SHOULDNT MOVE OKAY?! Plants are literally designed down to the cell to not move, and then you got these weirdos that look at the sun all day, or venus fly traps that munch on flies. Giant lily pads are abominations I tell you. Genuinely horrifying, I hate them. The thing that shouldn't be moving IS MOVING!!!!!! I think that's where it ties into mimicry. You expect this object to be inert and unmoving, but no! Turns out its an insect that squeaks. I think I'm actually underestimating how uncomfortable this sort of thing makes me.
@@pacifistichuman82649 Genophobia, also known as coitophobia, is the fear of sexual intercourse. People with this fear may be afraid of all sex acts, or only of intercourse itself.
