- Looking for gold in New Mexico culverts is never easy! Hopefully I can be back out to all three soon instead of just the one. Our hobby is not a 50 yard dash its a 26 mile marathon, be patient out there!

Cool that you can still find gold in culverts!!!
Ive always wanted to work a culvert, never got the shot. I really liked your video man, earned my sub. Keep it up :)
Hey Skovian when you get a chance grab my email from my description Id like to send you some of my channel stickers! Thank you!
@@Goldpan-SuntanNM that would be awesome, thank you :)
I was detached to China Lake California many years ago and we did a Vagas then a Arizona Grand Canyon road trip(s). Wanted so bad to check out Culverts but never had the time. Squadron work schedule was tough and never was any time...always rushing.
Those gravels where you said you did good before do look good. All depends on what is upstream of those. 👍
Ive been to that culvert before its been hit or miss, its hard to predict exactly in which area to prospect. Typically the entrance is customarily the best part to hit (where I did) but did see where someone had already been there cleaning out the back end of it.... Will keep frequenting it though. Thanks for watching man!
Get that shiney brother! ✨️⛏️
For sharing cool video.
No prob Rebecca Tha KS for sliding by to comment and check is out!
Oh please show us a video of that vacuum when it konks out!

planning on moving from florida to new mexico soon and i wanna experience what its like to search and find gold
Right on man when you get here Email me and I can help set you up with the Clubs. Email is in my about page
I could watch culvert panning all day . Definitely one of my favourite forms of gold hunting to watch . Did you take the dirt from the end or start of the culvert ? I may have missed you say that
I typically always start towards the inlet. However, when I entered into the culvert through the outlet I had seen someone had already dug that side up. Sometimes it can be hard to determine where the gold is due to how fast and heavy the water may flow through there and deposit it. I'll have some more culvert videos coming up as I've got 4 or 5 more of my regulars to go hit. Tha KS for watching!
I Luv working paydirt, I got my first White's Gold Master in the 90's for prospecting. HUNT WELL & STA WELL
Thanks man! Wow a White's :) I run with a GM1000 and SDC 2300
❤
One good thing about that culvert material, its already basically "dug up" and classified! Were there a lot of black sands in it? I would definitely switch to 3 gal. buckets, especially if having to carry them up hill loaded! Lol
Id say it was medium range black sands for this area so kind of a pain to pan but not too bad. I didn't show them in the pan at the end but there was probably 6 or 7 tablespoons total in all those buckets. I think ill start saving it and throwing it on the black market ahahaha!
Well look at it this way, there are 40 5-gallon buckets in 1 CY. and those buckets weren't all the way filled. so the math on this is 6 buckets .03/6 = .005 now take .005 and multiply it by 40 which gives you .2 ounces at $2k an ounce it's roughly $400 per CY. If you were to run 100 yards, which setup with machines wouldn't be nothing, that would be 40K so I think that's pretty rich material if you think about it...........
Wow thanks Bill yeah wished I could get that much material out of that place! Where the inlet of the culvert comes in that land is County land but like 40 acres past that is all thr claims which are really good. I drywash up there all the time and wished they would let me have a backhoe :) thanks for the comment and doing all the math behind the scenes thats awesome!
interesting. so hot here in california. ,me at the beach swinging my equinox 700.
I like to hide out underground in these during the hottest and coldest days to prospect hahaha
Interesting video on culvert mining. Tried it a couple times, didn't do well.🤔🤔😭😭Like your bucket handles. Subbed back. I saw some gold in that pan😲😲 Thanks for sharing. 😎😎🔥🔥⛏⛏
Little little little gold! Some days are better than others my friend in the culvert fields! 😄 haha
I'd say find culverts that don't have 3 feet of material that never moves, it is like having your ripples so full of sht nothing gets stirred up for years.
Find steeper culverts that act like a sluice, with 2-4 INCHES of material so you aren't carrying buckets of overburden.
Oh I hear ya buddy. I have about 30 culverts I hit. Some are exactly what you describe. Shoot I even have one that has such I high slope I find thr gold at the end if it not at thr beginning hahaha
Better than getting completely skunked literally.
That is true!
#AGM!
Sure does even all the way down to a micron! Thanks for watching man!

Ha! Thanks for watching!
0.033 grams = $2.12 for gold = $2000/oz ... Nice to look at though.
Yeah and I think my gas money and lunch 🤣 to go out on this day was probably a 20 dollar bill haha! Tha KS for coming by appreciate that!
Try using a metal detector next time 😁
I did try that before and that damn thing would just not shut up! 🤣🤣
