- On this WildNOutdoorAdventure we went metal detecting on the Rio Grande River in Albuquerque, NM. It was a fun experience metal detecting and exploring. Thanks to DE for letting me use the metal detector.

I would go and metal detect there but I don't have a car I live in the east mountains and I found a rare 1950's miller high life beer can that was still intact buried 2 feet in the ground on this old dirt road , it's a old wagon road , that was carved in at the side of the mountain off on 337 and no one else knows about it, It's not even in any history books about the village of Tijeras.....like it's a forgotten road in history ..
Those cans can be from the romans! In new mexico...

Detecting along the Rio Grande will definitely produce mainly trash and cans. The key to finding more treasures is hunting around the Bosque away from the muddy water. If you're local to Albq, hit me up sometime, and I'll show you around some fun interesting places along the Bosque to go detecting...

I use the vanquish 540 amazing metal detector I've been to all the oldest baseball fields that I could find baseball parks that are now closed it down and found jewelry coins after coin after coin after coin dimes pennies nickels quarters even a 10-karat gold wedding band wish you all the best in finding goodies in less than two months time 185 dollars in change

I’m from out hear and ride the Rio and Rio puerco. All you are going to find is beer cans. Maybe a throw away 😬. I would like to try Zuni mountain or Mt Taylor?
I actually haven't tried the Zuni Mountain or Mt. Taylor before, so I will have to check them out sometime. Thanks for the suggestion!
Metal detect at the central and rio grand river area my friend and I went metal detecting there and we found a Bowie hunting nice by one of the trees so i highly recommend go there

I've been swinging the AT Max for 3+ years and love the machine. I went to the Rio Grande off Rio Bravo a few weeks ago and found absolutely nothing (other than cans). The sand was too soft and anything good sinks too fast. Cool video!
The AT Max is a cool metal detector. I agree there is only empty soda cans in the Rio Grande. Don't give up and keep on searching!
I found some of my old UK tackle i use for carp fishing from last year. I walked around where water use to be near the dam.
