I have a 69 Chevy C50 with the 5 speed split shift and it shifts 1L H, 2L H, 3L H, 4L ,5L, 4H, 5H. My truck is a speed machine you can go 70mph with 350bu and get up to speed fast love my old truck.
Nice video. I’ve always liked these old chevys. I’ve been looking for one for years but it’s hard to find one around here. Usually they’re rusted out or the owner is asking way too much. I really like those older Ford tractors too.
Hello I just drive in low when loaded ,hi empty when running grain 👍 But I have a CDL A license because I work off the farm for years running groceries.Yes it has 18 wheels with a sleeper with 53 ft trailer and swing doors dry or refrigerated as need 👍
thank, you for you're teaching of you're video. 🙏 I, own a 73, ford f-700 DUMP truck 361 with a 5- spd. manual trans. and a 2- spd. rear AXLE. 10ft. Dump Body. that 2- spd. rear AXLE I, need to learn how to use it.
Thanks for the ride along. I've always like the body style of the C/K10 - C/K60 model Chevy/GMC trucks from the late 60's & early 70's. That color of blue too. Stay safe.
Spent a lot of good times hauling grain and corn in one just like that , and when we finally got some newer trucks I still preferred my little blue truck .
We had some old international straight trucks with two speed rear ends, nothing quite like shifting the splitter and for whatever reason it doesn’t engage and then you switch it back, and it rattles until it slams.😂🤣😫😖
I don’t know what it is about those old Chevy grain trucks but they seem to have power to spare. I owned a 1700 IH grain truck with a 14 ft. grain bed on it and it was a dog, hardly enough power to go good loaded.
They definitely had the engine advantage. The 366 was good old engine and 427 was a hoss for a gas truck. Little 350s done okay if u were geared right and not expecting to run 70 mph.
Wow. I must be the only person in the world (other than my Father who taught me) that doesn't shift like this. I shift 1L, 2L, 3L, 3H, 4H even when loaded, and it does just fine. But most seem to think its like a Super 10! (I've run those too) lol
@@jacklowe3788 yeah, I mean who’s going for fuel economy though lol. I’m curious how the 292 would do against a 350 in similar conditions. I’d expect the 292 to edge out a slight bit but it would be close
Landmark cattle They will be in my harvest videos if it ever dries out here in MN to harvest been raining off and on for that last 2 weeks 8 in of rain.
This is the BEST video on this I have seen. Camera angle shows the shifter, the pedals, and the road! Well done!
Todd Robbins thank you!
Nice job shifting that 2 speed rearend. I alway liked those old C-50's and C-60's.
Thanks man!! They are pretty solid!!
Definitely the best video on this. Gotta see the pedals. I just scored two international loadstar trucks and i wasnt sure how the hell hi/low worked

AndersonCattleCo. - I could get jealous of that real quick.
Sweet ride along man thank you. I'm learning here lol.
Thanks for the ride. My luck on roads like that not real good. Lol. Stay safe.
Great video bring back fond memories
I had one of those trucks. Brought back memories
they are fun to drive!!

I wish I had a small semi to haul this stuff! sound like you have a lot of background in driving!!
Thanks for the ride along.
My brother had an F600 with a split rear. Lotsa torque.
youre welcome! they do have a lot of low end!
Bad ass man,,makes me wanna run out and buy one them trucks.
Tyler split shift man haven't seen one of them in a long time but she has some get up go nice video.
Yeah! It has plenty of power!!

they are good looking trucks!! this truck was actually green and it was painted this color! I like it better!
K60? You’re trippin

@@crslyrn I’ve never heard of a factory 4 wheel drive 1 1/2- 2 1/2 ton
Subscribed. Can you make a couple of cold starts of it with this exact view?
Exactly the right way to drive that 2 speed rear. Use em all.
Oh hell ya still putting her to good use!!
Spent a lot of good times hauling grain and corn in one just like that , and when we finally got some newer trucks I still preferred my little blue truck .
hah! I really like this truck! I prefer it over the c-65 actually! did you go to diesel trucks with air brakes?
Landmark cattle yea we now have some diesel international grain trucks .
Sweet video dude! Thanks for the ride in the c50! Looks like y’all don’t have that power steering lol
Michigan Farming lol yeah looks like power. Power by him!

really nice editing. the way it appeared you were driving, I bet your dad don't very often say, "why were you gone so long". lol
thank you sir!! I should probably slow down a tad! lol
So how would this rearend work when i install my Duramax and Allison transmission? Or should I change the rear axel?
Looks like you have more power than my f700 lol my 2 speed is stuck on the high side so its fun pulling a hill with a load of rock
its got some power! the other grain truck had a problem similar to the and it was just a corroded wire
Ride-um Cowboy!!Thanks.
haha! thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm buying a 1973 tm for $300 believe it or not what should I do with it

That’s how my dad shifts it
Does that truck have the inline 6 250/292 or is it a v8 327 or 350? Seems to have plenty of power
It's got the 350!! Two barrel carb too!!
Landmark cattle sweet! Two barrel are hard to come by unless your shopping the circle dirt track parts!
Will this truck cruise 55-60 mph on road good enough to keep up w/ modern traffic?
No. Goes about 50mph full throttle
this is awesome. I want to restore one of these someday. is this a big block or small block truck?
Small block 350 two barrel
@@landmarkcattle5220 aw, very cool! I've always liked big blocks, but whatever gets it done works!
Probably not too awful bad on fuel w/ small block-
