    Paul is legit one of the best guitar players of all time, a lot of people just haven't realized it yet because his music is so underground. If you can digest it properly, BTBAM is just the most incredible band ever. Insane skill levels across all members, and just the VERY BEST live performance you'll ever see.

    3:08 - oh God, Silent Flight Parliament. I just love that part. Literally one of the best things this guy has written for the band (I suppose he wrote it because it's the kind of stuff he writes). Nice video!

      Jackson Roe It's not thin, his custom is thicker than a standard S series. They also sound very good in the first place.

    So gun to my head if I had one complaint there is too much high end. That being said It is necessary since DW uses such a dark tone that it blends well and takes away some of that bite.

    I haven't heard very many people cite George benson as an inspiration but he is soooo fucking good xP not very many metal heads are into that aspect of jazz maybe? idk...I think his influence on technical guitar playing is underrated

    • @sambrush2987
      @sambrush2987 8 років тому +1

      +Kinnzie Martin Yeah most metal fans/musicians are not into jazz but it's a lot more common in progressive circles.

    • @danson1992
      @danson1992 8 років тому +2

      I think jazz and metal are related in more ways than most people care to admit xD

      +Kinnzie Martin Most people do not have a clear definition of what jazz or metal are.

      David Fuller Money maybe, or maybe Ibanez is more willing to work with him on a signature guitar/get guitars to him more readily.

    • @LoveStarOcean
      @LoveStarOcean 9 років тому

      He used to play mainly PRS's until not so long ago, I think he's in the talks with Ibanez to get a signature, so he's been cutting down on using the PRS a lot like he used to.

    • @Roboturnin87
      @Roboturnin87 9 років тому +2

      LoveStarOcean No, no, no...He has played Ibanez forever. It wasn't until around the time they started recording colors did he and Dustie start playing PRS. Paul's had a few "Player Edition" model Ibanez guitars (If I'm not mistaken), but not a signature model. He switched back to Ibanez only a year or so ago, because he "misses" it, haha! Dustie, has his own signature PRS though.

    How would these pickups sound in a maple neck thru, alder wings, ebony fretboard with a kahler trem guitar? I need to add some bottom end to it.

    • @mojotoneofficial
      @mojotoneofficial  10 років тому +2

      Sounds like an awesome guitar. These pickups have been used in a number of different guitars around the shop -- we always like to hear our products in as many settings as possible. I think you'd be very happy with the way these things sound in the guitar you've described. The PW Hornet is getting great reviews all over and we actually have a couple more demo videos coming out soon so please check out our channel over the next couple of weeks for some additional demos. Thanks!

    I'm concidering selling my Bare Knuckle Black Hawk bridge pickup and trading it for this. What do you guys think? These PW Hornets cost like 1/3 what the BKPs sell for.

    • @lifeguard212
      @lifeguard212 10 років тому

      scratch that, they sell for like 1/2 the price of the BKPs. Still, good idea or not? opinions?

      @viperplay1103 10 років тому

      lifeguard212 If you're happy with the BKPs then stick with them! Otherwise, can't hurt to give the hornets a go.

    I think it's silly that these pickups don't seem to get much love (at least from what I see here on UA-cam). The gen 2 bridge model is easily the quietest bridge humbucker I've ever come across and sounds fantastic with a good muff-style fuzz.
