So many great points in this video. As an older millennial I've been watching reviews for this year's show and the lackluster set, and costumes are the first thing I noticed.
I think the issue is that they are shaping things subconsciously, so even if you don't think to yourself "I want to look like them" they are heavily influencing your point of reference by 'deciding' what is beautiful. I remember seeing an interview by Doutzen Kroes where she said she went on a liquid diet for 3 days before the show. Like if even THEY cannot look like that unless under ridiculous circumstances, how can this be used as inspiration of the 'epitomy of beauty' for the rest of us plebs? It's bound to just create incredibly unhealthy and unattainable beauty standards. So I think it has less to do with trying to be relatable and more to do with not being incredibly toxic and harmful, which wow the bar has been so low apparently 😂
That’s a really good point! The thing is that if they kept the “happy image” and added healthy women of all sizes they had a strong potential to reshape our view of what’s attractive again but they blew it
"The lack of energy"... exactly 😢

Thank you so much ❤️ yeah they clearly tried to do something they didn’t have the budget for 😅
Interesting video, some pictures or videos for reference would've made it better imo❤
