You had me at “the one”. My honest opinion is “the one” is one the reader actually opens and reads regardless of type because God can reach anyone through His word only if it’s read, then they are hooked and can graduate so to speak to others. I always am sad when I see someone carrying a bible that doesn’t look like it’s ever been opened
Cambridge is the oldest publisher of bibles in English. My "almost the one" is the Cambridge Turquoise in the blue goat skin. I confess that I am a bible nerd. 😖 I am looking forward to the other videos in this series! BTW, great idea!! 😊 Thanks 😊
Great video. I appreciate the focus on "the one" which means the focus is on the positives of the Bibles reviewed. I thought it was funny how you used scare quotes at the beginning.
Thanks for the video brother! I have that one in the NASB and it’s great. However, I believe that the ESV wide margin by Crossway has two advantages. One is that is 9 point font and has equal size margins on both sides. The other one that is really beautiful is the ESV wide margin by Schuyler. To me the only con with that Bible is that it’s a big boy, bigger than the Cambridge. (Thicker)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these other options! I agree about the esv wide margin. I have never seen the Schuyler in person, but from other reviewers I’ve seen it looks big.
@ it does! And it is! That’s the perfect bible for the desk but not to carry. Cambridge and Crossway wide margins are better for carrying. Brother, I think I saw somewhere that you are (were) studying at SEBTS?
For me it’s the Cambridge kjv cameo with apocrypha. But I really like the Schuyler kjv psc I have. I wish I could take the style and stuff of that and put the Cambridge block in it.
My so called one is the NASB 95 and before that the NASB 77. That particular translation is my go to for decades and decades. My current Bible of many years is a black leather NASB 95 single column reference Bible... fairly basic but I really like not having a lot of distractions when reading God's Word. I have plenty of study books/materials available from over the decades plus I use Logos with a lot of material there also from over the decades.
Great series! I’m on board to see if any of them can dethrone my current “the one,” my ESV Alpha in Wellington leather. This Cambridge is a beautiful bible, but it’s not topping my Alpha. Thanks! 🙏🏻
It's an awesome Bible especially since the layout matches my pitt minion, however, I can't stand that they didn't make the inside and outside margins the same size! I'm still considering it for my study Bible as my pitt is my daily reader.
The Cambridge Diadem is the name you were looking for I have the wide margin diadem and pitt minion in ESV :) A desk/personal study bible, a reading bible and a travel.
Beautiful bible but not the one for me the print to small the margin to small lol I’m new but I really didn’t mind if was paper if the print was large with large margin thanks for the info stay bless

You are definitely not alone in your love of Bibles! I can’t wait to share my favorites in the coming videos. Thanks Joy!

Glad it was helpful!
The Concord is that smaller one you might be thinking of,....my wide margin is Condord edition...God bless brother 🙏🏻
I believe the concord is the KJV one. The one I was thinking of is called the diadem.
@coltonyarbro ah I see I don't have that one ,....kjv is one I have
Thank you very much. 😊
You're welcome 😊

@@armandocastro4548 MBTS actually. Still enrolled.
Very nice! I'm a big fan of edge lined goatskin Cambridge Bibles! 😸
They’re beautiful! I haven’t found any other producer that can make them lay completely flat right out of the box like Cambridge can…absolute butter.
I love this bible! It would be my one if it had a larger font. Give it a 9 or better yet a 10 font and it would change the world.
Definitely would up its game!
Thank you

Thanks to you, I have my “the one”. And I didn’t realize that Bible was almost perfectly square.
I’m so glad to hear that brother. And yes this one is very square!
@@coltonyarbro The only thing I would change is the cover. I’d reverse the wine color and tan.
Great series! I’m on board to see if any of them can dethrone my current “the one,” my ESV Alpha in Wellington leather. This Cambridge is a beautiful bible, but it’s not topping my Alpha. Thanks! 🙏🏻
There is definitely a strong case for the Alpha! Such a great Bible.

I do agree. I wish the margins were the same size.
@ I'm currently using the Crossway wide margin which is great. I'm unaware though of a compact size that matches its layout. Is there one?
@@thomasprice3667not that I’m aware of…
@@coltonyarbro get on it Crossway! 🤣
This was a fun idea😁
Thanks!

Nice!
I found the foundation study bible the nkjv. Is there a video on it on your channel or your opinion on it?
Sorry I have not reviewed one of those yet. I am aware of them and may be able to review one eventually.
Beautiful bible but not the one for me the print to small the margin to small lol I’m new but I really didn’t mind if was paper if the print was large with large margin thanks for the info stay bless
I used mine for a long time but I’ve gotten older I needed bigger print. Oh well
I understand.
@ I loved to carry it read it and take lots of notes too. It’s just the right size.
bro where's the yapp??
Not much here for this one!
It’s never the one bro, it’s never the one!
True indeed
Bibles too wide for my taste. I like a more compact bible
Totally get it! I love wide margins but you can’t beat a good compact Bible
@ I have a wide margin Nasb Bible but always end up reading my thinline instead 😂
Sorry not buying a bible that cost more than my car payment.
It will outlast your car by decades though
Hard back edition is very affordable.
