    *I installed these on my 91 Cherokee. They are amazing! 🚘🚖 **allabout.wiki/Eagle** I can drive over snow like it is dry pavement. Off roading over sand is completely effortless in 2wd. I only ever need to shift into 4hi if I get stuck which has only happened a couple times from spinning tires over sugar sand.*

    I've had Good year tires all my life. From Good year Eagle GT tires to Gatorbacks to Good year F1 tires NEVER HAD any issues. They are great. And when these have to be replaced on my ST like you I'm sticking with F1s. Great video.

    How cold is too cold for these tires? And what happens in the cold weather? Do they deflate by a lot making the car flat? Where I live we have winter for a few weeks and temps get to the 40s. It never snows here. Just bought my car and it came with these summer tires.

    Don't get those tires again.
    Get the RE-760's for summer tires. They are better all around for summer tires, and they wear down better as well. Especially in the rain, my god.
    "Ultra performance," is a bit of a lie, they barely break into the category, and I do mean barely. The RE-71's are better for all around performance, especially handling, wear, and traction. I recently made the switch since the Eagle F1's didn't hold up to Autocrossing at all, and really lack grip compared to their competitors.
    These tires are good for summer street driving, and that's it. They really let me down when I went to use them for performance events where they were meant to be useful.

      I know a few people who love the re760s, and I convinced my friend to get them on his 350z and he loves the grip. I'm considering those, PSS or the new PS4S

    I've got 24k miles on my 2015 ST and they're an outstanding tire! As advertised quality and performance. Been raining hard in SoCal Jan/Feb 2017, and their highway traction and stopping performance was controlled and progressive. Treadwear is impressive, though most of my driving is highway miles. In the canyons, they shine and compliment the ST's handling characteristics perfectly. I also see no reason to switch!

    I managed to get 48K out my F1s, (ST) mostly just daily driving on the interstate. Probably have another few thousand, but honestly I'm getting a bit nervous on wet roads, as the treadwear indicators are "indicating" One thing I will say about these F1s is they wear quite well and even with regular rotation.

      Yea that is what I am finding as well. I am working on a video right now showing the wear after 24,000 miles.

      Ken Jaeger I have noticed that same thing however it's very minor and I think you are about 10k miles away from looking at new ones

    which one would you choose between Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Hankook Ventus v12 evo2 k120 ?
    i`ve got leon cupra 280

    • @Gjeebs
      @Gjeebs  7 років тому +1

      First off I am a big fan of the supra 280 so nice work there. The Evo 2 is a lot cheaper and I feel like it is slightly more aggressive it even looks more aggressive. I would also say to look on tire rack.com and select both of them and do a side by side comparison. I think for the cost difference I would get the Hankooks

    Legend! thanks for ur videos! the ford performance exhaust is that the mountune one?

    • @Gjeebs
      @Gjeebs  7 років тому

      It's on Mountune's site but its not made by Mountune they just resell it. The exhaust is actually made by Borla and rebranded and tweaked by Ford so they can warranty it. I will be posting more videos on it soon

    once you get Michelin pilot sports you will wish you would have bought the car with them! the F1s are ok tires but don't compare to the Mich PSS

    • @Gjeebs
      @Gjeebs  7 років тому

      Yea if I feel like spending that much on tires when the time comes that is what I will do. Btw I called Todd at Vivid and they don't do installs anymore. We talked for about 20 min though...nice guy!

    • @nicholasbaldwin1674
      @nicholasbaldwin1674 7 років тому

      Yeah I spoke to him and he told me the same. Sorry didn't realize they didn't install anymore. Oh well he's a real point of contact if you need anything.
      Yeah I wouldn't spend the money tell you burn up the F1s but when you do the Michelin's are a Superior tire. And don't cost any more than he F1s which is crazy because they are hands down better.

    • @AbendscheinLGN
      @AbendscheinLGN 7 років тому

      The F1's are only $20 cheaper than the Super Sports or RE-71's. Penny pinching on tires is definitely the wrong way to go. What's $100 over 3-4 years?

    • @nicholasbaldwin1674
      @nicholasbaldwin1674 7 років тому

      Abendschein exactly! I'd never buy F1s

    I swapped my Goodyear's for the Michelin pilot sport 4 and in everyway they are a much better tyre! my dealership told me there is a flaw with the Goodyear's going out of shape on the rear of focus St and this happened to two sets of mine.

    • @Gjeebs
      @Gjeebs  7 років тому

      Good to know. Michelin makes the best tires in the world for sure. Other manufactures can't keep up. My uncle tests tires for a living and he said it's amazing how much better michelins consistently are.

      Cool I just thought I would offer some perspective to having ran both on the focus st 🖒
