In this video we take a detailed look at the Lined Seahorse, Hippocampus Erectus. There are more than 40 species of seahorse worldwide, but they all share the same unexpected features. We explore how sea horses hunt, how they are capable of camouflaging in their environment, sometimes mimicking algea, coral or sea sponges. We also get an up close look that their unusual prehensile tails and finally examine sea horse genetics. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
This video makes me think that my incredibly swift, noble seahorse steed in World of Warcraft was actually a tad unrealistic
all pipefish, leafy sea-dragons, and all sea horses. These guys facinate me to no end. TY for posting these videos on them.
Great video and congrats on 100k!!! I’ve always enjoyed watching seahorses.
Thanks Joey!!
Joey you got to do a seahorse tank in the new gallery or a pencil fish. Love what you both do keep it up.
Years ago I raised dwarf seahorses. Had so many I was selling them to local pet shops. Very entertaining fish. Also had pipefish as well, they were a bit more difficult for me.
Thanks.... 👍😊
Lol the narration sarcasm got me good
So beautiful! I have dreams of a macroalgae tank some day.
Dude's just casually giving the other guy a chokehold 1:32
I used to breed dwarf seahorses. They are pretty amazing little guys. Profitable too. Edit: I love at the end one guy simply pulling the other one out of frame even though he clearly wasn't finished eating yet lol
Nice video, Alex! Nick does such a nice job at Glen Echo.
This is my favorite species of fish! Great video!
Congrats on 100k Alex, you really deserved it.
AVNJ’s been real quiet since this dropped. Fantastic video and congrats on the big milestone!
A Video going into pipefish and also a bit into what’s needed to keep them would be very interesting
The video is great. Thanks Alex and congratulations on 100k subs!!
Amazing species spotlight! I would love for you to make one of these for wolfeels. They are such unusual and interesting creatures.

I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day my friend!!🙏❤️🌿🐟🌿💚
PS this might be a weird fish to showcase but I think they are so neat.. the lump sucker... Maybe something you could share in a future video?
I love the lumpsucker. I’d have to find someone studying them!
Congratulations!
Great video. Sea horses are so friggin’ weird! I love them
So they can be the actual fish whose food could be brine shrimp?
Amazing video again btw
Spiny lump suckers or grunt sculpins
Ik they are mainly a saltwater fish but is the particular species a freshwater or brackish ?
The seahorses in the bay are very high end brackish up to full salt water
Lovely!
Continuously hatch brine shrimp with an artemia refugium. Love the vid but live food especially in saltwater is so easy.
Wow 🤩
