LOVE YOU MR. ATTENBOROUGH!
David Attenborough, what a legend. Still executionally passionated about nature.
I never care about plants so much until I started watching his videos. They are so interesting and voice is perfect.
The strategic evolutionary form and performance of plants is absolutely fascinating. Thank you so much.
Extraordinary. Fascinating. And just a bit spooky!
Sir David Attenborough, your love to nautre, plants and animals is a big inspired for my. I wish i can say it to your face: Thank you
so awesome! im so glad i get to see this stuff for free!
This channel is simply amazing. The things we know about nature is astounding.
I've loved nature shows since I was little. And when my son was little he would insist on leaving his TV on, so I gave him the choice of National Geographic or Animal Planet. Nature shows are so soothing/relaxing!
Indeed
My favorite channel since when I was a little kid.. lot of knowledge that I can learn it from... thank you Mr. David Attenborough for the knowledge about nature..is amazing..
Sir, not Mr.!
@@exilbayer6377 Love it, to be quite frank he's a living legend and a bonafide National Treasure
I planted an elephant ear plant for the first time and cannot believe how water resistant the leaves are. It’s amazing.
have you noticed how they even excrete excess water through their leaf borders? it collects at the tip of the leaf, take a look a day after your next watering :)
@@jennywithaglock3916 no but I will definitely take look. The leaves keep getting bigger and bigger.
Human skin is waterproof. We also sweat. Pretty much badasses!
@@jennywithaglock3916 yes, banana and the most Aracea do this,
Also the water a banana leaf pushes out also taste like banana!
Wow... Love this.. Thank you.❤
This is amazing❤ Thank you for the informative staff😊
How extraordinary!
Hats off to you Sir
Thanks sir David, I love the way you explained it
Great documentary
thankyou, sir david
The grandpa we all wish we had.
Yeah... my mother in law grows taro. Came across some psychedelics the other day. Was hanging out in the garden playing with taro leaves after the rain.
Taro plants ; in our country we call it dasheen bush and the roots we just call it dasheen. They make so many delicious dishes in the Caribbean ❤
The tora plant you will find that one on El Yunque national forest in Puerto Rico ...when i was a child we use the tora sleeve as a water cup ...we also have other plants like the tora plant that does the same thing and we eat there Roots ...
David is the Best! I watch him since my younger years 😁. Like from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Bursting into flames
the all time BEST social distancing 🤣
Fun fact: Taro leaves are also known as 'Brède Songe' in Mauritius, and its stem is cleaned and crushed to make really delicious items, especially a delicacy usually served for Indian weddings.
I’ve been friends with Polynesians (mostly Tongan / Samoan) for years and I’m kind of embarrassed that I’m just now learning what the name of the Mauri language is lol
Probably a reason for many bush fires around the world as the "sisters" widely used as a decorative plant, therefore spread all over the world, so also in the US . California for example.
Usually it's arson though, since accelerants are often found
@@KevinKickChannel arson implies it’s a malevolent act. Many places require bush fires to maintain the land and control the levels of dry materials. The whole reason there were such bad bush fires a few years ago was that the galaxy-brains in government said to not do it any more due to ‘climate change’.
It’s a great example of Chesterton’s fence.
insane !
😃😃😃i love u devid sir 🥰🥰
This isn't actually him, I hope you know that
@@ammonitefossil8644 how do you know that?
@@ammonitefossil8644 go away troll
SIR David Attenborough! It is SIR!!!
Big D got me into aquaculture, best decision I've ever made.
Pause..... ☠️
we have a duty and responsibility to protect and care for beautiful mother earth and all its creatures
if someone having hallucinations sees the last plant burst into flame, they might think of it as the burning bush
I really like your voice ❤
LOVE THIS❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
mab I'm wrng sometimes.. u guys got it good with Brueckner.. and I need some tips sometimes.. But I'm the one who has got to continue and lead 💚 thanks
Also the most delicious leaves and ground food..
I didn't know about sister plants but I got good information, it burns itself 😢
i hope that we can have you narrate forever, sir David! ❤
The Sistus should be called the Phoenix plant.
I almost fell asleep at work watching this. very relaxing
Homer. Ya still got it!
Would make for wonderful rain gear
Amazing..!!
Allah has the power of all, He is the greates of all.
...and also imaginary like all so called Gods.
And especially disgusting compared to other deities
@@Lyle-xc9pg Don't be rude. Allah is the same as the Judeo-Christian God, just another name.
The plant that burns itself 7:00
May this plant have been the "original" of Moses' burning thornbush 🤔
I like that plants approach to life, just destroy *everything* so their seed can survive. It's like us humans, I think that's why I like it so much.
My broccoli leaves do this are they the same? Hydrophobic is it?
You think you have seen everything until a plant burns itself for survival
I miss this age, back when NAT GEO and Discovery channel weren't all reality shows and actually informative and educational as well as entertaining.
There we have the burning bush explained
Thinking from an evolutionary perspective, it hurts my brain to try and imagine how plants develop systems like pollination in the first place in response to its interactions with the ecosystem around it
🥰
Our God is such an awesome Creator!!!
So magnificent!!!!!
They look like many underwater plants found in oceans
0:39, waterproof surfaces before they were even discovered by humans.
If that "phoenix plant" can spontaneously burst into flames then it shouldn't exist near that house, or any other house.
0:40 Waterproof eh?
ISSA BAGGIE BREDDA MAN
There is a species of plant that has no "green cells" (anymore), a so-called fallen plant. And on an other hand there is a sea snail specimen that carries algae in its body. Would nature be embedded in the cosm? NatAm (native americans, even though one would rather say new norway natives or new asia natives) kind of avoided having a word for nature in use.
the plant can instantly burst into flame yet you are standing in the middle of them. Have a lot or respect for you sir, been watching your documentaries for 50+ years (in black and white), I watched every show I could, but this seems a little odd when you know they can burst into flame and you are standing in a field of them. You obviously were safe or you wouldn't be there
Way too many repeats. This is the 3rd time I've seen that orchid clip
ah the only downside to Nature Docs as a whole. literally recycled clips with new voice overs
I look at nature and figure out all what we see is a combination of ingenious work of many different Gods scientists, who wrote codes to make different life circles of all the livings, The evolve which we see its perfection of former godly scientists,
Plants are truly fascinating they have been here since the age of the dinosaurs maybe even way back before then.
Maybe? LOL Dinosaurs arrived at most 243 million years ago. Plants about 1 billion years ago.
@@GrassPossum He meant plant "plants" not plant "plants. Got it?🤣🤣
Jesus H Christ I did not know how much there is to plants
I have a self cleaning plant
never knew insects and bats were victims of SA by plants
That bat plant does look like a moth when they curve their back up
edit: and that last plant is concerned about its O2 footprint
Funfacts: these plans are edible
Since having his own greenhouse.. David is a full-time analyst who devotes his life to nature and its creation.. hmmmm.. keep up the good work, David.. for sniffing out God's creation.. hmmmm..
if he only knew that mankind is a direct descendent from God.. hmmmm.. 🥺..
They didn't inspire velcro, the valcans gave it to us, didn't they watch Star Trek Enterprise.
the Vulcans learned it from plants!
Nah they taught us how to vulcanise rubber.
not the Velcrans ?
Is this not explain the burning bush in the bible? 🤯😱
Hindi me
I have half a dozen eucalyptus trees. I hate them. They are the messiest trees.
Evolution explains everything and nothing.
It's not hard to realize that God is real. Imagine so much diversity. Creativity. Planning. That went into creating this earth
Nobody can watch this and not believe in evolution.
so plants have intelligence, maybe people should stop eating these sentient beings....
Bite off your “roar” soundbite at the end. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again- it’s out of good taste following a narration by such an incredible man. You’re probably still not going to listen, so I’ll keep commenting. Love David. Wish he wasn’t on your channel.
This is not random mutations ,these are the creation of the Almighty Allah , your God and my God.
The products of evolution too.
So lame!
sistas, the suicide bomber of plants
It's a terrible edit.
Taro aka eddo aka 1 foot chicken. Delicious.
Chickens and Watermelons.
Well there’s your burning bush!
I stand in awe of the details of God's creation! Nothing was left amiss or without purpose! 🤷🇺🇲📖🎚️🌎
