This is the first time I've witnessed a majority of people actually want to play a game for the gameplay itself and not focus on visuals and graphics.
It's such a great thing to see!!!
Cause if the combos they did good by letting good players showcase it
not really true at all. we are lucky enough to see the loud Minority but the majority have been vocal about the poor visuals. Gameplay will likely be fine. Its 8-Ing after all they make good fighting games. But unlike HxH Their older games looked better than this which sucks as a Fan. It will likely also lack in content and not be up to the standards most games have set over the past 4 or 5 years. So its only a matter of time.
The gameplay looks bad, though. That's why I'm so confused. It looks like Tatsunoko vs capcom.

i dont want to but at the same time, i feel that DragonBall FighterZ has just spoiled everyone on the "anime" fighter in terms of aesthetics and how an anime game SHOULD look.

This game could absolutely look a lot better, but one thing I forgot to mention is that unlike DBFZ this game apparently had a VERY limited budget. It's something I should be sure to mention if I make another video talking about it.
@@LotusAsakura It’s mentioned almost everywhere else so i’m sure most people know by now. I don’t think people really care. Having a small budget won’t make it look better in their eyes. I’ll wait for the released state, but if it looks even close to how it is now, i’ll pass.
Yeah dbfz is so underappreciated especially the dramatic finishes some look better than in the anime

Two drastically different games that aren't really comparable imo. They looked bad at the start for different reasons, but JJK was bad in basically every way and we were right about that game, whereas the main issue with this game so far was moreso visual than anything else, but the gameplay genuinely seems very promising. Plus, everyone who has played it has said it is VERY fun.

Nah the thing with cursed clash was the gameplay was genuinely ass. The only thing with this is that the graphics just look a little nasty. It’s way easier to fix that (idk when the game will drop) or just play through it than everything JJK had going on from the start. Like from the beginning everyone knew JJK looked ass and played ass. HXH looks slightly ass (visually) but the gameplay looks hype asf.

i can't give up. I have been waiting on an HxH fighting game for a decade now and its traditional on top of that.
I just saw the video from Globku and you do seem like a pretty chill guy. Loved the points you made since I will admit I was in the camp of “well, this is going to be unfortunate.”
Of course, the recent footage has helped to boost confidence, but I will be on the fence for now since I can’t say if I plan to get this or not. I do like HxH, but I will likely be coin flipping the purchase depending on price and what things will be looking like when we get a release date.
Until we know though, I’ll just hit the sub and see how things go from here.

I just attributed the rough look to the fact we may have been looking at very early build. So I have hopes quite a bit more polish awaits.

Perfect game would be the exact style and fight mechanics as DBFZ however it would have a jumpforce style roster literally would be perfection
If the characters are a bit more zoomed in the actual game that makes me want to play it more, in the first gameplay they are legit too small on the screen for me

Imma keep this simple and short. Fans of Marvel vs Capcom 3 will not only enjoy this game, but they will be able to pick it up and play very easily. Its basically a reskinned MvC3 with outdated graphics/artwork. So with that being said, if you are on the fence, go play MvC3 and see how you like the game and that will give you the BEST idea of whether you will like this in the long run.
Personally im a fan of HxH but only of a handful of characters, but not enough to get this game. I will just keep playing MvC3 hoping for MvC4. If they every do a HxH vs YuYu Hakusho, i will purchase it 3 times just because i love both series and way more then a few characters to keep me entertained and interested.

I’m glad for all the 2d plain fighting games but I hope we get more arenas style games there are a lot of fighting games with the 2d fighting style that get a absurd amount of chances and a chance to grow but when arena fighting games are released typically this community destroys it before it get to breathe. They become very hyper critical.
3d arena fighters have always been a thing and are probably the most common type of anime game
We can take a break from them for a while
Preferably a decade or so
And it's only recently after JJK Cursed Clash that people have become critical of arena fighters
@@underthemountain0 I mean yeah it’s definitely more popular in anime fighting games but, a lot of fighting games outside of anime are like this. Though after seeing your point you’re right it is nice to have anime games take a break from that genre. We had my hero twice, Naruto, almost every dragon ball game demon slayer and more so after taking a step back to see the bigger picture I can understand where you’re coming from.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most arena fighters are trash. JJK Cursed Clash nearly made me completely swear the entire genre off. We have a lot of arena fighters already. There's only been a handful of truly good arena anime fighters. You make it seem like people are hating on them for no reason when we have hella examples to point to.
I dont even have to watch this video I'm immediately copping hxh for the straight mvc3 TvC vibes.

A few pro players I follow had nothing but good things to say about the actual gameplay. Im just happy to finally get a HxH game in North America.
I feel like the "too many buttons" are for the stick/ leverless players. It isn't that big of a deal imo.
Ive said it before and i'll say it again. I'll take this game with its current visuals over any other shitty 3D arena fighter. With how this game is being built i know it will have some longevity at the VERY least and its not like they even have to do much crazy upgrading to the visuals/ animations. If they just make it slightly better then IMO they did good.

I don't have any attachment to HxH. I know of these characters, but I don't know much about them. The potential is definitely there, but that budget is really going to be the glaring issue. 3v3 with that many characters? The DBFz community whined about Fusions along with Labcoat. Dr. Doom and Vergil are still being hated 11-13 years later. Should I mention the hate for Ken (and that's 1v1). I know complaining about character(s) variety comes with the territory (and it's a different conversation), but I think they could've gotten more mileage going 2v2 because that gives you more room to experiment.
That's probably my biggest worry at the moment. Other than that, it looks fun. I'll play the wait and see game for sure.
Although I'm a huge hxh fan (Succession War Arc Hisoka drip needed) I truly feel naruto or one piece would have been a better choice. (Maybe in the future?)
1. The Characters are extremely developed in terms of pasage of time and abilities that lend to potential tool kits. (Naruto more so due to it being completed.)
2. Hxh is great and I'm super hyped it got made but Naruto and one piece have a wider mainstream appeal. Inheritantly pushing more units with casuals=more money.

My belief is that we still don’t have a standard for what makes a fighting game that is the issue. With this being low budget I understand graphics’s a bit but 16 fighters in a 3V3 game hell no. Plus other things will this have rollback? Will it have a story mode or additional modes? Costumes I know nothing about HXH but I do know they got a lot of outfits for gon and such, also price if it’s anything above $20 I ain’t touching this at all it will probably be dead fast like all other anime fighters other than Fighterz.
It’s an extremely popular anime with marvel 3 fighting type mechanics should do just fine as long as it has consistent support. Won’t be as big as DBFZ but what anime can compete with dragon ball.

The roster is small the net code might be ass it’s got a lot of things to do. But it’s still early so I’m not dooming.

It seems like they're appealing mainly to the hardcore fighting game audience. I'm just a casual gamer and I like to play around with flashy moves from my favorite characters. This game is lacking on this aspect. It feels like you could switch the hxh characters with any franchise and it would play the same. Just a low budget marvel vs capcom clone.

This reminds me of Melty Blood Lumina, and how nobody seems to care about Melty Blood Lumina... Gameplay can be layered and interesting, but this... I don't even wanna look at this... I always hope games will be good, but I cant imagine this being fun. Goodluck to all the HxH fans though, I'm rooting for you.

I lost interest when I found out there was no Motion Inputs. FOR ME that's the most enjoyable aspect of 2D Fighting Games is executing the Motion Inputs at the right space, time, & situation. It was the same reason I lost interest in Project L. Just thank God for SNK, who isn't doing this BS.

If it's literally just MvC with no real new or interesting mechanics then I might just pass. We've already got so many fighting games doing their own variation of MvC that a straight up beat for beat copy of MvC just isn't interesting imo.

To me it just seems like a crappy version of dragon ball fighters. And tbh I didn’t even like that game as I’m not a huge fan of 2d anime fighters. Or fighters in general it’s why Tekken, soul caliber or arena fighters like xenoverse and budaki are the only ones I play in my opinion ofc.
