In my opinion it’s the best looking and best value in the mid size class. Usually people only post when they have problems, nice to see happy owners for a change.
I was going to do the same thing but didn’t want to wait. This week a beautiful 24 Trail Boss came in and I jumped on it. Hope you get yours sooner than you think. 👍
All due respect; that doesn’t sound right. I have a ZR2 & my dealer sold to me at MSRP … order to deliver was 5 weeks. I’m in Northern California & multiple dealers offered to order & guarantee sell at zero markup.
Earned a sub! I saw the background was Florida, but then I saw it was Sable Palm! I live less than 5 minutes from there and it’s one of my favorite areas. I’m in the market for a Colorado.
If your Apple car play disconnects hold down the Hang up bottom on the steering wheel for 10 seconds it will reset and guarantee re connect your Apple car play
Having been a Chevy technician, you don’t want LED headlights. Instead of 50-100 bucks for bulbs. You’ll have to fork over 1000$+ for the whole assembly.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but I'm 100% fine with the interior. I'm fine with my maverick XLT as well which is similar level of plastics. Stitching is a fair point, make it feel like it's a somewhat special model, because it is. It's a hell of a truck for the money and really the only truck I'm considering.
This interior looks easy to clean for a truck that’s ment to be in dirty places! Would be nice to have some style on the inside but the truck speaks for itself on the outside!
I liked commented and subbed and hit that bell ! Looking forward to more 3rd gen content I love it ! Honestly man I think your first video blows my first video out of the water 😂 Keepem comin !
Really enjoying my Colorado, which is my 4th (if I count an old S-10). I’m averaging 15mpg on 35” tires, but that’s a self induced issue with each tire weighing-in at 70 lbs.
Coming from a long time Taco user, been debating between Ranger and TB. So far I’m leaning towards TB, but not happy not having fog lights it’s definitely needed on trails in the evening. Awesome post by the way.
Terrain mode is awesome. Single pedal works great. Hill decent is picky in my experience. Great when it works, sometimes it’ll break hard out of nowhere.
I have tested it out in my driveway lol, but actually using it on an obstacle or over terrain where you need utmost control seems like it would be great.
What trim did you have in the 2nd gen? Did you enjoy your experience? Debating on getting a 2nd gen ..depending on how much cheaper they are compared to the 3rd gen trucks. Prices are F'in nuts these days.
I had a great experience with my 2nd gen. No issues I had a 2018 Z71, traded it in at 80,000 miles. It had the V6, I absolutely gave that motor its run for the money. If I were buying one today and you wanted to do the offroad stuff. You can get a 2nd gen ZR2 at a great price.
I'm interested in getting a TB and putting a lightweight 400-pound pop-up camper on it. I heard there is a sticker in the glove box that says you shouldn't put a camper on the TB. What do you know about that?
@@mickeybrumfield764 I haven’t seen said sticker, I would go by the manufacturers payload capacity for my truck in particular is 1,559LBS. I have seen many ZR2’s with campers installed which have less of a payload capacity.
@rossoverland From what I understand, there is a sticker in the glove compartment. I have seen Colorado trucks with lightweight campers on them also. I know Chevy and GM now put a sticker in the glove compartment of their Silverado trucks with a maximum load recommendation for their trucks for carrying slide in campers. It is usually significantly less than the payload on the door jam. I also would have thought the normal payload of the truck would be the thing to go by.
@@mickeybrumfield764 you know what, I just checked again and you are right. It says “THIS TRUCK SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CARRY A SLIDE IN CAMPER” and looked at some more GM pdfs on the subject.
@rossoverland I think it says that even on the Silverado 1500 TB. I am interested in getting a Colorado TB and putting a pop-up camper on it, but it won't be a slide in variety. I'm interested in getting a much lighter only 350 to 400 lb type that doesn't sit in the bed of the truck. Thanks for the info.
Thanks! a.co/d/96Bhg3G there’s the link to the bedrack I am using it works but not 100% for the 3rd gen. Additionally it’s a little tight. I would check out Xtrusion overland. xtrusion-overland.com/
Nice video! I have a 2024 Z71 that I’ve had about a month that I am really happy with. What is the mount system you have in there that holds your phone and radio? I’m looking to get a nice portable HAM radio in my truck.
Thanks man! Check out www.bulletpointmountingsolutions.com/products/rubigrid-2023-chevrolet-colorado-gmc-canyon-dash-mount-phone-holder for the mounting bracket, you can pretty much add anything you want to it.
2 things, we live in Zephyrhills Florida, ride our atv up in Ocala national forest, I have a 2022 colorado 2wd, had a 2016 Silverado z71 off road, constant transmission issues, I don't need 4x4, I am liking my v6 colorado a lot
@rossoverland yup, my Silverado had that annoying cylinder deactivation bullshit, my colorado has some pep, I do wish it was 4x4 at times so we can go into the forest more like we used to, but oh well, we just park at the trail head and off load our atv there and go exploring, be safe, and I like your truck
@@woofman4796 we’ve been to ONF several times with the truck, some super fun trails and camping out there. But honestly if you don’t want pinstripes, you’ll have more fun on an ATV lol. Thanks man!
It sucks that LED headlights aren't standard for the price of the truck. Then again, we had a Honda with LED headlights and they died after a coupleyears and were a couple grand to replace. I haven't heard of GM LED headlights failing prematurely, but it's always something to consider. Halogens suck but are cheap to replace. I think they held back on features in the Trailboss in order to try to push people into the ZR2.
I have debated this for quite some time now. My main reasoning is this. I live in south Florida, so i will rarely get to use the ZR2 to its full offroad potential. Additionally, this is my daily driver, my work truck, and my overlander, I don't wanna bang up that nice interior and really i don't need it. For what the trail boss has to offer, it is perfect for my needs and the type of terrain we have. I will mainly be doing some minor stuff to the truck, protection, recovery gear, good tires, and camping gear.
Their are two recalls the one you were talking about and something to do with the injectors, you better check again, I got the injector reprogrammed and still waiting for their phone call to get the one your talking about done!
I think the REAL locker instead of the G80 should be available as an upgrade, but keep the front locker for just the ZR2 and the ZR2 Bison. I just picked my blue, loaded (with sunroof) ZR2 today. Can't wait to put some miles on it and get it durty!
@@hochhaul Yes it physically DOES lock unlike an LSD, only WHEN it detects a difference in rotational speed...in one direction (doesn't work in reverse as far as I know), but as soon as you back out of the throttle, it UNlocks again. It’s amazing idk if I have trailer package but I have turbo plus on white work truck it’s a sleep the guy told me once I bought it lol he was crazy
I would say it’s good looking but when it comes to value I think the Fro tier has a better value

3 engine options, turbo 4, turbo 4, and turbo 4.
haha, technically 2 engine options, and three different tunes.
How much it cost to add fog lights

Correct, the 2024 models get rid of the Turbo Plus option and come standard with the H.O. tune. They also come with a larger dash screen.
if you are running 50 watts of GMRS, that antenna is too close to your face.
