I FOUND IT!!! I used to listen to this band when I was in prison on college radio. Never knew what the song was called or the band. All these years later I'm looking for neo psych backing tracks and I've found it 😊
I think this band definitely brings back a lot of magical concepts that older music gave birth to. Something that a lot of artists don't quite get nowadays.
Reb Young Have a listen to some early Pink Floyd: "See Emily Play", "Arnold Layne", "Remember a Day" and "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun." You can also hear a bit of a Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" in this, IMHO.
Now the music world is focused on urban music(pop and latin rithyms) the psychedelic music needs a whole audience, when this happen Temples will be one of the most famous bands, Tame Impala exploded after Kevin Parker introduce pop rithyms on their songs, Temples it's completly psychedelic...
Look at any psychedelic band from the past, Pink Floyd being the major point, nobody gets famous off the weird stuff. The masses love familiarity which is a sad but true fact
Move, rest in tombs of sleep Choose visions, wake from deep Painting ourselves on a stained glass floor The things we discuss are disguised until unveiled In the hour of night, we take from ourselves We replace and reward It's the balance of thoughts Seeks to find affirmation, speaking in tongues Take the words through you Dawn of creation Blessed in devotion Love, lost spaces in time Bringing colours to life Spectrums defy us Left to remind us Love, lost spaces in time Bringing colours to life Loose words when voices speak New shades of darkness seek Staining ourselves on a painted floor The things we have done are exposed unto ourselves In the hour of night We take from ourselves We repent and reward It's the balance of thoughts Seeks to find adoration, sleeping tongues Take the words through you Dawn of creation, blessed in devotion Love, lost spaces in time Bringing colours to life Spectrums defy us Left to remind us Love, lost spaces in time Bringing colours to life
Estos muchachos son la onda, cada canción tiene su magia y su vibra psicodélica me encanta. Que bien que me los topé en medio de tanta porquería que sale hoy en día.
I love it, bring the sixties sound back, great stuff. And not to mention the look their stage wear is pretty great too, I wouldn't do the glitter myself, but that's what's great about it, he doesn't give a shit about what other people think about him.
I’m just discovering this song today. My daughter turned me onto this band and we went to see them the other day. Had I known about this song, I would’ve told them face to face when I met them at their show, how freaking awesome the totality of their music is!
Me encanta el album Sun Structures, todas sus canciones son una experiencia increible. No tan así su album mas reciente pero seguiremos escuchando a Temples como una de las grandes bandas contemporaneas que aun le queda muchisimo por recorrer!
You know you got older when you hear some kick ass music and the musicians look like kids to ya. Oh well... age was bound to happen after a while. ;) Still a great track. That guitar riff... candy...
Haven't heard this for two years. Forgot how goods it is. Doesn't sound like popular music nowadays, and I totally love it! Also, the lead singer reminds me a lot of `Led Zeppelin` when they were young. :)
these guys have hooks like the zombies and the kinks, with a syd barrett feel,,, but they've definitely put a edge on the sound making it new and their own... good job!
Temples has some of the tightest arrangements I've heard from any band in several decades. If the album was produced "in a bedroom" which is what they said in an interview, it is one of the great albums of all time, right up there with Nevermind, Abbey Road, and Thriller.

Why did everyone comparing them to Tame Impala? Sounds so different. I don't really into Tame Impala but I really love Temples. If they're the same, why would I just love one of them?
Saw Temples in concert last year for my 18th birthday, and they were AMAZING! My friend and I spoke to them briefly after the show and they are very sweet gents :)
Ok, I was away from my pc for a while, I come back and youtube's playing me this This shit is good It must be fate Btw it started with Tame Impala's Let It Happen

Now a days, I am just grateful when I can find a band to relate to, as most modern music has given up on any kind of human depth or meaning. Thank you Temples for hinting at some sort of revival of enlightening music.
Love this song! This one is right up there for my psych needs. Even when they close out the song from 3:37 on out, it just makes my toes tingle. Love that typical classic outtro!
i enjoy both bands. definitely both bands are my favorite bands including Dungen. All three are part of the psychedelic experience in my life. my point is all three sound fucking awesome and if they were to make the same type of sound it wold be boring as fuck. like listening to rhyana and byonce sing the same shit. all three are fucking awesome and i have a psychedelic rock list that only includes these three bands and THE DOORS. BECAUSE ALL FOUR ARE FUCKING AWESOME in their own way of course. greetings from a mexica bro.

Still love this just as much as the first day I heard it.
I love their discography, but nothing compared with the first album Sun Structures.
All the tracks in this album are brilliant
Seriously, there's not a bad song in that album. Not even a meh song.
I keep coming back to these songs, the whole album is very well structured
Move, rest in tombs of sleep
Choose visions, wake from deep
Painting ourselves on a stained glass floor
The things we discuss are disguised until unveiled
In the hour of night, we take from ourselves
We replace and reward
It's the balance of thoughts
Seeks to find affirmation, speaking in tongues
Take the words through you
Dawn of creation
Blessed in devotion
Love, lost spaces in time
Bringing colours to life
Spectrums defy us
Left to remind us
Love, lost spaces in time
Bringing colours to life
Loose words when voices speak
New shades of darkness seek
Staining ourselves on a painted floor
The things we have done are exposed unto ourselves
In the hour of night
We take from ourselves
We repent and reward
It's the balance of thoughts
Seeks to find adoration, sleeping tongues
Take the words through you
Dawn of creation, blessed in devotion
Love, lost spaces in time
Bringing colours to life
Spectrums defy us
Left to remind us
Love, lost spaces in time
Bringing colours to life
