an absolutely excellent preformance of talent & arrangement, tone gurus these guys are. and the mix sounds amazing too can't forget the engineers and sound techs. thanks KEXP
visual styles: Bassist: 60's era mod Lead singer/guitarist: 70's all the way Drummer underground 80's guitarist/keyboardist: 90's britpop/emo Is there something to it?
So a red long sleeve shirt is undeground 80s? Dude, you looking into it way too hard and when you do that you seem to find it everywhere. It's called confirmation bias and to a lesser degree the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon
just stumbled acrossed this band! i love them so much. the tones and melodies are amazing. So wonderfully exquisite. Thanks for sharing your musical expressions with the world
That bass players licks are every bit as big as his collar. Funny that, but in all sincerity he and the whole band really bring more to the songs for the live set. I love it! Come to Grand Rapids, MI!
This is an art documentary already! What a guy this 17 old one. He reminds me of Danny Goffey (the drummer of supergrass), Alex Turner (singer of the Arctic Monkeys) and even Mick Jagger. What a confidence and looks. He's born to be a star. Then the music; it's the Beach Boys meeting the Arctic Monkeys and the Monkeys meeting Supergrass. Brilliant!!
Thomas Walmsley, the bassist, is definitely the most talented one in the group. I love the buildup at 4:16. You can hear the influence from Roger Waters in a lot of their songs and live performances!
Geeez! WOW, these guys made me interested in their music from the first note! Also very inspiring, I never would have guessed that a 12 string Gretsch could match the full sound of my , up til now, favorite 12 string Rickenbackers. I am very grateful for this upload, keep inspiring me!
After this performance, I must add Temples to my music collection & 2020 playlist. KEXP always brings on the best! EDIT: My apologies if comment doubled accidentally.
Jasus,....These guys are fab....checked them out on the 2017 Glastonbury set....great sounds which is an interesting mix of 60s and 70s music...you guys will be one of the main successful headliners of Glastonbury 2017 and that's for sure....and I will be there at the front with my old mates to take it all in...P&L Clive....
You could slip all 4 into the middle of 1970s and they fit right in!! But there music is on par with any band that was around then.... its up there! New album Mar 3. can't wait!
Digging this band. Psychedelia is alive and well. Wish I could've seen these guys live. This crowd is dead though. Speaks volumes about today's Seattle vs. Seattle of 20+ years ago. Loosen up people!
The Bass on this thing.. THE BASS ON THIS THING!!

If I turn the video quality down to 144p it adds to the whole 1970s feel
delfiglio that's hilariously great!
Damnit should've red this before I started watching, would have been a whole nother experience for sure!
In all fairness things in the seventies were documented on film. And film has crazy good quality. It just has to be digitalized the right way :)
holy shit, first time I ever love watching videos in 144p lol
Perfect
Love them! One of my favorite bands!
So in love with that Gretsch
Kelly Dawson
hi kelly. do you know whats the name of the v shspe on the left ?
tsachi nathan Gibson Flying V :)

Great quality, great gear, coolest band, good sound mix, great band.

Majic Freeman It would be foolish to take someone too seriously when they are clearly just messing around.
Majic Freeman armchair psychologist, indeed.

I have broke 2 Sun structure cds from literally over playing them in my car. Lol!! I love this band so much.
Discovered the band yesterday in the music shop of my town, immediatly bought the last record. Didn't expect them to sound so good live
I keep coming back to this. It just sounds so good.
Perfect performance!! These guys really rule in public, and my gosh, their visual styles!! is like imported from time to time.
just stumbled acrossed this band! i love them so much. the tones and melodies are amazing. So wonderfully exquisite. Thanks for sharing your musical expressions with the world

Sonidos frescos para mi alma👍👍👍
Très bon groupe et très très bon son !
That bass player has chops, but he has to be the first person to wear a shirt like that since 1980...
i was thinking kelso/fez from that 70s show haha
he looks like a nerdy Johnny Ramone
It's alot better than what he was wearing couple of years ago, looked like an oversized tent
@@DarkAngelEU i can understand your reference 🤣🤣🤣
Finaly some clean shaven hipsters. Seriously the chords changes and riffs are so original.
Those golden docs are so nice.
RAD! Can't wait for the new LP!
I wore that to my ‘96 prom I guess I was ahead of my time!
Killer performance.
The lead singer's voice is positively gerbil-esque!
BST RADIO EVER
Gonna see them this month at their album release show
Got to get to see this band - they are "in the zone" at the moment.

Professor Snape was in temples on guitar and keyboard right after Hogwarts
Pinche banda maravillosa

This band teeters on being good. Nothing that substantial to sink your teeth into
this is great stuff!
Ya los amoooooooo 😍😍😍😍😍
Digging this band. Psychedelia is alive and well. Wish I could've seen these guys live.
This crowd is dead though. Speaks volumes about today's Seattle vs. Seattle of 20+ years ago. Loosen up people!
And here we thought the 60s was over. Not yet boys.
Great band
Good thing they're all skinny, if I had a head of hair like that I'd be sweating so profusely I'd be a walking public safety hazard.
for some shows sweat is a good sign
I always wonder how they can have so many pedals and still get a decent sound
I wonder where they shop for clothes.
The 70s
Probably thrift
First time I ever hear them and they are great!! Temple and Lemon Twigs got me by surprise!! The 70's are coming back!!!!!!
Arriba TEMPLES....Señor desaparece a todos los reguetoneros del mundo......esta música si es arte chingaos
Dude has such a thin voice. Almost spongebob like lol but pretty cool spacey sound
Damn that bass tone is dirty, boooiiiiii
Just heard this band on WFUV in NY.... I did them... not for nothing.... they have some pretty nice equipment....Not typical...
color to life!! but,, wha,, who are they?? they are just fantastic ,, an amazing band!!
I really like "Certainty". Wasn't a big fan of the derivative debut of theirs. I'm glad they've started to find their own sound.
COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
Sam is my fav person in the world
♥
they look like they could all do with a bit of cake !
No AutoTuner necessary when the Brits show up. Good on ya, mateys!
adam, the keyboardist, looks like Vince noir in here
One with Sundara Karma please.
Watcher of the skies intro? Hahaha
Thank you for noticing. I was thinking the same. Probably drew inspiration from that song.
Leonardo Pratagy finally someone said what I was thinking!
please come to indonesia :(
My favorite part is: 23:00
i like the bass line
Samuel - oh he reminds me a lot of Ashley from Chapterhouse!
