Hi Boss! Its been almost 18 months since I watched your videos. I missed watching them! ❤
Last yearI moved out of apartment and donated of all my oak and ikea furniture to a local thrift shop that support a women/childrens shelter. I was homeless and living in my small RV from June 2022 until 4 weeks ago. With a little assistance from local military veteran organization, I had a safe place to park and got financial counseling. My military disability finalized in March and I saved money to close on my brand new home 4 weeks ago. 3/4 acres, 50% wooded lot. My 982 sq ft almost tiny home has a steeply pitched roof and gives the impression of A frame from a distance. Sleeping loft is closed off to downstairs. Planning to knock out that wall in spring. Your drawer build is an inspiration as I did not want to purchase dressers for the loft and decrease the floor space. Too heavy to get upstairs 😅. Build will span the entire length of loft on both sides to serve as storage for clothing and seasonal items. I am living out of Ikea Samla bins which served as storage in the RV
Ill never be able to drink 😂 as much coffee as you to save up for an organized workshop (pole barn= workshop/RV garage build in future).
I dont know what happened to Frankie. But I am sure he's smiling at you and remembering all the fun you had together.
Much love and aloha to you!

I did the same thing in my house in Vt. The only difference was that the top drawer opened down for a writing shelf. I placed a small unit in each of the kids rooms with a small desk in the middle. They could sit and do homework or color etc with a place for all those crayons and markers that they could close and keep the room looking neat. I didn't make mine but from the looks of them yours are stronger than the ones I bought. They are a great idea!

The cabinets are fabulous all the way around, great use of normally wasted space and beautiful. I’d love to do that in my attic, but I have zero woodworking skills and I’m too old to lug anything up in the attic as heavy as all this would be. @@thebossoftheswamp we’re more alike than you know, but I’m a bit older. I graduated HS back in 73 and the only reason that happened was my art. I started college straight out of high school with big dreams but found my high school art teacher knew tons more that my college art teacher and stupidly withdrew from all classes and entered the factory life. Another artist whom I always looked up (on your level) yet even with those skills life pushed him into a non artistic job. My dad great man but used to tell me that “artist were a dime a dozen” and that was a common mentality at the time. My hat is off to you for keeping the pace and continuing to use your God given skill as an artist. I am so glad you did so as are very talented and that comes from someone who knows the level of skill it takes to produce well proportioned works that captures the true likeness of the subject. It makes me and thousands like me wish we would have “stuck it out” back in the day like you did! Here’s to you and your free but we’ll ground spirit Boss! 🍻

Hey @bossoftheswamp Love the idea of the drawers and your logic of using as much space as you can so here is a thought, that small section to the side would be good to put a board up with round holes cut into it that would hold planning tubes, or old fly rod tubes, you could store stuff in them tubes maybe even art or floor plans. If you decide to do something like that please let us know how it turned out, if you want more details on what I am talking about I can design it or make a small model of what I am talking about and send you a picture, sure would utilize that extra little space…. lol

It has a loft that is 27" long and probably 16 feet wide. I've been trying to figure out how to utilize the sides and remembered this video. I'm thinking shelving on one side and doors to fit things like 5 gallon pails/season things/rarely used stuff, on the other side. This will work out very well. Thank you for the idea!

This came at the perfect time for us! We finally got moved to our farm land in very late September. Currently living in a 5th wheel camper (that's a whole other learning curve). Purchased another 20 acres with a dried-in house (kind of - if you don't count all the spaces where you can see daylight). This house is a saltbox style. i spent the last 7 weeks fighting a very bad pneumonia so we have decided to hire out some of the work on the house. (Illness can sure knock the wind out of our sails!). I kept telling hubs I want some sort of drawers so we can better utilize that space. Well, this is perfect! We are headed out on vacation so we can spend time with some of our grown kids (no room here in the camper. 5 out of 8 kids will be able to be with us for Christmas), but have someone framing for us while we are gone. I will keep you informed on the progress. Wishing you, Lori, and Tildy the very best Christmas!
