Junkyard Tour: Temple’s Auto Parts 3-of-3, Hot Rod Power Tour

PART 3 of the giant 4,500-vehicle junkyard in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina known as Temple's Auto Parts. The owner, Russell Temple, told us he had just killed a rattlesnake right in the spot we were standing, feet away from his office. "You can still see the blood on the concrete,” Temple said with a chuckle. Russell handed Jeff a big stick to keep the snakes away and to help fight off the wild foxes. Fun! I ran to the 1985 Monte Carlo SS to grab my long pants and better shoes for the trek around the sand-covered junkyard.
Jody Potter and Jeff Beasley walked the Temple Auto yard for two hours. This is raw, uncut footage. Part 3 of 3. I make some mistakes describing cars. Easier to see when you're not looking for rattlesnakes in the weeds and sand beside the cars. Leave a comment when you hear my mistake. Great video! I’d recommend going to Webster’s Garage on new bridge road in McColl South Carolina. It’s 60 acres of cars, mostly from the 70s.

Yes! Missed a bunch. Too many to see when you’re skittish of rattlesnakes and hurrying to next stop on HRPT. Another trip this winter is in order, with a trailer.

Russell told me all the cars in the lot in Part 3, the one your watching, can be bought whole. Said he had titles for them.Maybe I got it wrong? But that’s what I heard.
