    Man… Your playing so great! Even on a sustain Articulation alone. I got this library and knew it’s sound awesome but your playing on a keyboard like this just phenomenal. Thanks!

    Honestly, it's wild that NI doesn't have something like this. It's actually so hard to find good detailed information on how to use all the features and doing so really makes me want to upgrade (from regular Session Strings 2). Thanks for the "review" which has been more of an amazing tutorial!

    Bro, for session strings 2, the technical feature is present also the same as in session strings 2 pro?
    In my understanding the only the differenxe of the two is that in session strings 2, only 11 strings.. while on pro its 16..but the technical features are the same.. its that right or there are.additional feautures

    • @thesoundvault508

    Greetings. I have been eyeballing this product for a while and have one simple question... Is it possible for Session Strings 2 Pro to be used for solo instrument purposes? Like, if I want to use a Viola or Double Bass on their own and not a _section_ of one.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 роки тому +3

      Jusu-Tengu yes. You can “turn off” instruments by clicking the picture of the instrument.

    • @aleksamrkela831

      No. There aren't any solo instruments in Session Strings Pro 2. Just sections of violins, violas, cellos and basses.

    How do you use the velocity control in a DAW? By automating the channel volume or is there something built into the plugin??

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 роки тому +1

      In the settings, dynamics has to be set to CC, rather than velocity. I use the mod wheel (CC1) for dynamics.

    Come on, Ruben; We never have everything we need in regard to VST's. Moreover, I have many 8Dio libraries, East West, Trio Bros (perfect), Aria Sounds, Symphony Series, Versilian ETC., ETC., And, love them all, but Session Strings (1 & 2) definitely stand up to them in its own intimate way.

    I'm sure the programming is a lot better but I just don't like the sound, which is the most important part for me. Imo this was a downgrade from the first edition.

  • @niklassilen4313
    @niklassilen4313 4 роки тому

    I'm utterly surprised how out of tune the samples/players are. Heck I've heard young music student ensembles be more in tune. Maybe this is a problem with the keyboard forcing stuff to be equal tempered or something?? Whereas a real string player will quickly and intuitively adjust to keep stuff sounding in tune no matter what the chord progression is.
    EDIT: Or did you simply have way too high settings for the "humanize" control? Whatever it is, no professional ensemble plays that much out of tune.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 роки тому +1

      It depends on the humanization of the strings. If it set to zero, then it will sound in tune. If it’s humanized, there will be a moment of playing out of tune. I agree that it can amateur if too out of tune.
