What always makes your vids stand out is that you are a really good player...and composer. It's also great that you are not relying on quantise but your natural groove, feel and flow...it makes so much difference to the the track. The difference between your vids and the plethora of "beat makers" on YT is enormous. Whatever success you are experiencing is fully deserved as you have a natural talent for music, something that, very sadly, an increasing amount of "producers" just don't have no matter how many YT tutorials they watch. Really enjoyed this one! Thanks.
Why do you have to diss other producers to compliment Dom? He's amazing as it is, no need to shit on others in the process. Let everyone create the way they like.
@@libertas5005 seems like you are not a great player like me, that is why it hurts you so bad.. 🫣😅.... Indeed he have said the truth; great music comes from its source and how it is played, that is the ability of the composer, arranger... And of course mixing and mastering is significant for the balance and bring the original vision of the artist, sonic quality
No words to express the beauty of this composition. It's a pleasure to listen music when the talent comes over the instruments and tools and not the oher way around. Keep sharing these making-of master pieces
We all love when you play and demonstrate the plugins. But, we are here because you are a great musician! I think sharing more of the music you create and work on will really help the channel! Sometimes I just rewatch videos of you playing and showing the vsts because you're playing and musicianship is soo inspiring! You're channel is my favorite music channel!🌟
I’ve always looked for videos like this, it’s been amazing and really educating to see the Whole process of making a Soundtrack from the beginning to the end. I Would love to see more videos like this, Thank you!
I hardly can remember when I ever enjoyed a video like this. That was absolutely stunning! It´s so inspiring and I love to see how you pack so much emotion in the things you play. Thank you for so much inspiration! Stay as you are
Hi Dom, just wanted to say that you are absolutely THE MAN when it comes to music production content. The volume and quality of stuff you put out for free is incredible and I'm sure I speak for many when I say greatly appreciated. Whilst I found you as a fellow Cubase user I think producers from all backgrounds could learn a ton from what you have to offer. Anyway, not normally one for leaving comments but I just wanted to say thanks for what you do. Haven't even watched the video yet haha, can't wait.
This is what happens when a UA-camr musicologist goes rogue and brings to life those metronome-defying troubadours :-) Great work Dom, really enjoyed it!!
Another great video, Dom. And we can always tell when you're having fun - it's the workout you give your chair in that final minute. Totally happy-making!
I watched this video several times already. Mostly because I enjoyed your music. The product sounds really good. But what makes the difference is your talent. Both as a composer and as a instrumentalist. Your enthusiasm and enjoyment as you compose and perform your music also comes through. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I look forward very much to more. 😀
This is utterly amazing! I seriously teared up when you brought in the high strings. Seriously! Such a beautiful piece and the walk through of your process was super enlightening! The Orchestra sounds are stunning.
This is all I want to watch when it comes to music production. We can learn more from watching the process than a 3 hour tutorial! Also really appreciate all the time you put into this video
Wow i just found this video it would be fun to see a tutorial on how to write something like this in depth, Such as what chords to use, And how to choose the perfect key for this type of compositions
Absolutely awesome content! I am watching this over and over again! I hope one day I can create something half as good but with the same joy you showed throughout the composition. I am in awe!! Thank you Knight Dom
I had the biggest grin on my face this whole video as you joyfully expressed yourself in music. What a delight to watch you compose, plus this was a very helpful video as I get started!
As a drummer, first and foremost, I agree with the statement to only quantize if you absolutely have to. Avoid quantizing at almost all cost. If someone needs quantizing, then that someone needs practice more than he needs quantizing. Quantizing has created a sterile music industry and distorted some people's image of what music is. On another note, it's a pure joy watching you work!
You are very inspiring. After watching any videos of yours, I get so excited to learn and discover more. Thanks for your efforts for putting out contents like these.
Dom, I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now. That was by far my favorite (and I like all of them). I REALLY enjoyed not just the video, but also the piece you created. Bravo!
This was an inspirational video, love your energy, enthusiasm and care for the music Dom, and you've opened my eyes to a library I don't use enough! Well done :)
Dear Dom.. ! Thanks for letting us know how lucky we are to see such a caliber of a composing talent from our naked eyes... 😍 Outrageous talent.... Much Love.... Rezi :}
AWESOMELY DONE! totally enjoyed. Dude, I got goosebumps when the choir came in! I just purchased the Hollywood orchestra opus edition and now want fantasy next. Thanks for this video !
Hey! Thank you! This got me inspired to dig around this morning.. The Chord Pad feature is super nice too. You can use the scroll whell to change the chords and all kinds of stuff. I'm new so forgive my lack of explanation but very nice! Thanks again.
Hey Dom, this video is incredibly inspiring, you really are a world class musician and it's a pleasure to see someone so talented composing amazing music in real time. Would love to see more videos like this one, just brilliant ! Thanks for sharing this with us all !
Very well made video. One thing that might be helpful is adding more information on the "why" behind some of the tips. I think that helps people to understand things deeper and discern how much the advice is applicable to the specific thing they are trying to do. You explained very well why you want to quantize as little as possible. Since you explained that it is about making it sound alive and authentic to medieval musicians it is easy to see if your tip is applicable to a specific project. It would not only be applicable to medieval soundtracks but also to ancient egyptian soundtracks for example. It would not apply to a futuristic soundtrack that is intended to sound robotic which is quite the opposite of alive. There were a few parts in the video where I was wondering about the reasoning behind your advice. Not in a way that I felt it was bad advice but in a way that I wanted to understand more about it and see how much it applies to what I want to do. Since I am not at your level of playing and working on projects that are a bit different things might work a bit differently for me. The main example is why you suggest the use of a guide track. Can you shed some light on the benefits of that?
my brother Dom I just met you with this ultimate crazy live video composition and I can't explain how speechless you left me right now dude!!! Of course you don't need a metronome when you are this phenomenal composer haha!! Thanks for this journey man, for real big respect, I will surely check every video you have. Much love dude, thanks again!
Dear Dom, thnaks for the great content. Do you have a video on how to prepare mix sessions fast? There is a way to speed up the workflow in cubase, instead of always renaming and grouping all channels individually. A answer would be much loved!
Great Video… could I suggest you also think about making your presentation more “fly on the wall” which includes some of your pre-preparatory work-basic compositional work on the piece- Where you decide on chord progressions - trying our arrangements/ melodies that don’t work etc.👍
Great video and excellent composition!! The only thing I kept thinking as I watched you slap one instance after another of the EW VSTi (which I dont own) was when my not so great, but probably average system would start to crumble under the stress. I know this is putting my tools above my creative ability, it’s still hard to wonder how easy this would be for us average folks. That said, there were great bits of information to glean from the video and I very much appreciate and grateful for your time and sharing. Thanks!
lot of fun, and a sucker for that renaissance style or baroque.. used to always turn up the opening for the Tudors, same kind of music, of course Game of Thrones, loved the lutes hanging at the end, sometimes I think it sounded like dulcimer?
Dear Dom, thank you for making us experience the spirit and pleasure of music to the extreme. I'm glad to have you. We follow it with interest. Greetings from Turkey. 🙏❤️🙏
Outstanding in every way. Your musicianship is enviable and your energy makes it a delight to watch. You have a new subscriber and I’m looking forward to going through your back catalogue. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Could you make a video about how to setup a template / sound palette? Do you use a set of templates for different genres? Love to get some more workflow/setup tips! Thanks!

Apart from skills, knowledge and level the important is not loose that smile and passion. Love this video
I got this library half a year ago cause you said this is good. And now I am here half a year later absolutely loving the library.
Brutally majestic, you are trully a natural musician with enormous talent. love it :)
Thank you so much my friend 😀

Amazing, Dom!! This library sounds fantastic, but your composition and playing really elevate it!
Another great video, Dom. And we can always tell when you're having fun - it's the workout you give your chair in that final minute. Totally happy-making!
Wow! The orchestra and orchestration sound great, but it’s Dom’s passion and dynamics that make this piece sound, and feel, fantastic!
