- Rammstein Ich Tu Dir Weh. Wow what a song!!! What a performence!!! Incredible!!! What else can I say about Rammstein? I have not seen anything from them that I did not love. I love these guys! It was so fun introducing this old record producer to Rammstein. He was blown away and almost speechless! We had a great time and I cannot wait for more.

When he sings "Ich seh’ im Spiegel dein Gesicht"
" I see your face in the mirror" hints that the person he’s singing about is actually himself. Maybe this song isn’t about a sadomasochistic relationship, but is rather about self-harm.
It's, as always with the mainly written lyrics by Till, BOTH. And I think that's the good thing about Rammstein, you have to think about what's being said actually a by yourself! The new album is a bit different, at least for me as German speaker. The lyrics say what they want to say, with a little twist if course. I will miss Rammstein I follow since the beginning! I have a bad feeling it could be their last album ever! Till has a new solo project, "Lindemann" of course and a lot of stadium tour before him with Rammstein. Maybe he's also a bit tired of being "limited" by his work within the band and maybe he wants to be more "sophisticated" at the "end" of his career. I will "follow him" anyway, for sure. For now, I hope I will (after 2019) see them live again with some of their new songs. Maybe, "Adieu" at the end. And maybe I will have a tear in my eyes too!
That would be masochism, no sadism involved.
I think it refers to the empathy aspect of sadomasochistic relationship. The sadist can actually relate and empathize with the masochists pain in a very intimate way, otherwise he wouldn't be able to gain satisfaction from it, so in a way it is like the 2 become one in their sadomasochistic practice.
When I read the words and English I thought they were about political torture. Till is taking on the voice of State. It is an arrangement it is nothing personal. Torture is my job. Hurt is my tool.
I could be wrong but I only read through it once because it made me uneasy.
to germans its pretty clear, sometimes even till sings live "ich führe mir nagetiere ein" instead of "ich führe dir nagetiere ein" etc.
Please tell your record producer, he has just seen the best live band in the world by far. Rammstein concerts are lifetime experiences. MSG in New York was sold out in 20 Minutes. The videos of Rammstein are Art, their Lyrcs are art, their music is art, the Voice of the leadsinger is unique, but famous all over the world is Rammstein beacuse of their live shows, the best in the world in these days.

Rammstein is abslutely amazing Live - may i introduce you to the Band Tool if you love good live Bands? Your concert experience wont be the same after seeing and hearing them live, trust me ;)
@@CyntiiX667 Lol, I know Tool and they are very good Musician, but compared to a Rammstein show they a poor prescholars. By the way I am 60 and i saw them all: AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Stones, Pink Floyd, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Tool, Baby Metal, Stones, Queen, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Sabaton, Nightwish, Slipknot, Status Quo, Van Halen and so on. I saw also the great Pop Stars Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and so on, but when it comes to showmanship, fire and pyro Rammstein is over the Top. I've been to over 300 concerts, and I've also worked for some of the big bands in the past, including Rammstein, and I've only seen one concert in my life that was better than the best Rammstein concert: Pink Floyd The Wall Live in Berlin. Musically there are definitely a few better bands out there, but not in terms of a live show
@@michaelfinck7487 Then please excuse the misunderstanding - I think going to a concert involves the audiovisual experience being the main part of the "show", but if we are talking about the Stage-Show Things, then definetely Rammstein takes this one :P
I have been twice to a concert of Rammstein and I can tell you it's unforgettable. The performance the sounds the fire and flames wow .. you never forget.
You will never be disappointed with Rammstein. Official and live !!!

This band has been relevant for 28 years, since 1994. The songs, the musicianship, the shows...they are a total package, and it doesn't matter that the lyrics are in German, because this band can make you feel everything at once... it's their superpower. And Till's voice is absolutely menacing and perfect. Total package. 🇩🇪🤘🏻🔥

Rammstein concerts are normally sold out in Minutes, and it does not matter how big the avenue is
FRUER zone tickets are almost impossible to get

Great reaction. Rammstein has the same line up since 1994. Till took 2 years of singing lessons with an opera singer. That certainly paid up. Love the song.
And before I forget, they sold MSG within 20 minutes.

Till has an amazing voice. I can understand the deling of the crowd, it’s really really hard to get tickets, they are usually sold out in like 5 minutes. There are just so incredible live.

Till really sticks the landing on diction. It's my fave part of how he sings. I absolutely LOVE this band and I'm 60 years old. They are fantastic live. They are my top 5 live rock bands. A must see.

Great reaction guys! I never get tired of the Rammstein. At the time, 2010, this was a new track from their 2009 album and already it was like they were playing a classic track that the audience knew well.

I have seen I think 2 or 3? of your Rammstein reactions and I must say the guests you've had on the videos I have seen have been really good, very insightful, I have enjoyed these reactions, seeing your excitement at seeing your next R+ videos, this band is awesome in the true sense of the word, and also sharing that excitement and joy by sharing this music with people who might otherwise never come across it, great formula! I'd be interested to see this guests take on some other R+ tracks.
also, probably mentioned before but they are touring N America this summer, currently on tour in europe, then they're playing canada, usa, mexico. if you can get yourself to one of their shows, seriously man, do it, go for it, it will blow your mind and you will not regret it, it might well be the most epic show you ever see, when you are actually there, in the crowd, the atmosphere, the heat from the pyro, the SOUND...
Hopefully more Rammstein live, you should see their new tours ( 2019/2022) that stage is the biggest and most badass stage I've ever seen and the light and pyro show is surreal

I was at work when Madison Square Garden Tickets went on sale. I had 4 Browsers open waiting for the strike of 10am. I had 3 Browsers Buffering, but one got through. I scored Tickets for my Nephew & I. If you didn't get in within the first 5 minutes to buy tickets, you were S.O.L., 19,000 Tickets were gone as fast as a Free Pizza Buffett.
The MSG Show was on 12/11/10.
There's nothing like a live Rammstein Show. It helps understanding German, but isn't necessary to enjoy them. You both showed that. Great Reaction.

I did see them a fiew yeras ago in Sweden with my +60 mother who loves them. It was her that wanted to see them in the first place. I do not regret coming along.

Thank you for the great review, I’m a Rammstein fan for at least 10 years. May I just say that Germans don’t pronounce W as a “w” it’s more of a sound of “V” so it’s “Ich tu dir (“v”) weh “ - “ I hurt you”
4:40 This is called German Expressionism, e.g. Nicolas Cage also uses sometimes it in his films, as a way of acting. Because big films like micropolis were shot almost 100 years ago in the Babylon Studios in Berlin.

It is a song about S&M and was forbidden in Germany at the beginning
I am 57 hearing this song for the first time. I know what the lyrics say and mean...I have to pretend that Till is singing about something I love. With the risk of sounding militant or inappropriate...but this song makes me want to go back to my Marine Corps days and Parade March. Leave it to the Germans to head bang better than anyone else!

Do yourself a favor in exploring RammStein. The videos of ‘Zeit’ and ‘Mein Herz Brennt (piano version) are absolute pinnacles, absolute art in combining lyrics, video and music. Top of the world class. Till is completely into pyrotechnics. Educated as well. All of the concerts are incredible. Do yourself a favor!!!

That was Rammstein's return to the US after ten years of absence after they quit in disgust after 11th September. They sold out MSG in 18 minutes.
You want pyro? They are made of fire, Till is a licenced pyrotechnician and their outdoor shows are insane. Try looking at the 2019- 2022 tour.
Only band that can come near them live is Heilung, but in a very different manner.
