Rammstein is legendary..they are more than just another rock band...Till Lindemann isn't just another singer. He is an artist..a poet..a lyrical genius .. Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboardist) said.“Till radiates complete authority in my eyes" “When he sings or says something, you realize that he also means it. That makes the whole song a lot more precious. Especially since there are singers who say or sing just about anything because it sounds good. With Till, you know that he means it.”
Which interview is this quote from please? I remember one interview or a clip from something, it might even have been a written article, where Flake was speaking of Till, I don't know if it's from the same one you mentioned? I think he [Flake] had been asked about Till supposedly "bullying" (or words to similar effect) him on-stage or something like that, I cannot recall exactly when or where it was to go back and find it again, which is really frustrating/annoying. Anyway though Flake had answered and said along the lines of (obviously unlikely to be the exact quote, but effectively): "No! No Till does not do that, he is my brother, he protects me and I trust him ultimately, I trust him with my life" I think Till has referred to him as his "little brother" before too. I wish i could recall where it was from though. Almost certainly before 2012.
As a 55 year old that has been to at least a hundred live shows in my life, Rammstein stands out as the one moment that changed my life as far as music goes and entertainment as a whole. Words can't describe their show but you will be a changed person after one, believe that.
Imagine being a German band singing in German in a sold out Madison Square Garden and start your concert with a song that makes the crowd scream your name and where you sing lines like, "Who waits with prudence, Will be rewarded in dear time, Well, the wait has ended, Lend your ear to a legend". Badass! Also, Till Lindemann, one of the few alpha-males on this planet that could stand in front of a huge crowd, in a red leather apron, wearing a hair-net and a red feather boa, yet still no-one would dare doubt his masculinity.
Rammlied would be translated in Ramm-song and they sing Rammstein. For the official music video for "ich tue dir weh" Till had this lamp pierced directly through his cheek. While drinking, the water ran out of there. The guy does everything for his art. If he needs scars on his body, as in the piano version of "Mein Herz brennt", then he cuts them into his body.
"Ramm4" is another very good song. It was there song to start the concert. And the lyrics are just song-title after song-title to welcome the crowd and get theme hyped.

The Song is called "Rammlied" but that word is never used in the song. "Lied" is german for "song", so its kind of Rammstein being back in business after a longer time not making new albums. The song was the opener for their 2019 released Album "Liebe ist für alle da" (Love is there for everyone) or short "LIFAD", while the release that was before that was 2006 the live concert CD and DVD "Völkerball" without new songs, just a (great) live performance from an open air in france. The last studio album before LIFAD was 2005 "Rosenrot". So the Song "Rammlied" (engl.: Ramm-Song) was kind of a "we are back, we have things to say, listen to us" message. It also makes a great Concert opener with ist melodic start, and then the big bang into the chorus. Edit: the light in Till's mouth was originally thru a pierced hole in the mouth, but that got infected, afaik, and he had problems drinking, so for that and follow up concerts it was thru his mouth into it.
@@ca.b.92 Well, when you want to put out music as perfect as possible, like Rammstein does, it takes it's time. I mean, sure, there are bands who have more, but after a while you realise that it is not as good anymore. You have to be aware that here a German band is playing in Paris / New York and the French / American audience is singing along in German. There are four videos out: „Zeit“ (time) „Angst“ (Fear) Zick Zack Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) For me „Zeit“ and „Angst“ are real masterpieces regarding the videos, lyrics and songs. „Dicke Titten“ is really cool, Zick Zack is for my personal taste the weakest of the songs regarding the music. The video itself is crazy and hilarious.
Rammstein are Industrial Metal (kind of metal, but with some dance and electonic components too. They are credited with creating the genre "Neue Deutsche Harte" which I likely spelled incorrectly, but it translates as "New German Hardness" I think. I really recommend you watch "Wiener Blut", from Madison Square Garden, I think it's from this same show. It is dark though, and heavy both literally and figuratively. I don't know if it is better to just watch the MSG version and just feel the music, and look it up after, OR watch the video Educated Marine made on his channel (I think it's from Educated Marine's channel) it has english translation of the lyrics and also intersperses context on the case the song is based on (the horrific Austrian Fritzl case) Till really is in character for that performance though it is incredible, and very dark
For the original video Till Lindeman had a light surgically implanted through his cheek in order not to impede his singing. Not kiddding. Singers, performers, poets. Saw Rammstein live in Rotterdam. Blew the top off the Feyenoord football stadium. Concert was audible at 10 miles distance.
Let me suggest that you turn your attention to the unique singer from Russia - *Diana* *Ankudinova* . This is the case when the genre, style, musical direction in which she sings is not important, but only her unique, inimitable voice and the way she presents the song itself to us are important!
