Loved both styles. I was going to wear the crown braid to a wedding & after seeing this I'm going to try the 1st style and wear it instead. I have hair that is 3 ins below my knees. I like wearing it long but liked the crown braid, too. So I thought this would be a perfect combo. I'll probably have tight waves with the long part. I going to tape the crown with ribbon streamers & a few sparkles. I'll have pics up on FB in 2 weeks. Thanks for sharig this with us. Have a good weekend. :)

There are a couple of things I might suggest to a woman like yourself, but let me double check with my hair stylist gf. I'll ask her what you could do in terms of styling fine hair.

oh thanks so much! I just watched it. Hmm, for someone with really thick, dark, unruly/often frizzy hair... would you recommend layers or angles? I have a really hard time doing braids (and styling my hair in general).. but i honestly feel it's because of my texture and the layers that haven't grown out yet. I'm currently growing it out but I'm not sure what to do with it when I DO eventually get a proper haircut :P

Although its kinda been my opinion that long layers work best, and not too many because you don't want it to fluff up around your face like an umbrella! A great forum board is untamedtresses and on it you'll find (me, duh! :) and many other women (and a few men) who love and know tons about hair! Its free to sign up, and there are a lot of members who'll probably know much more then me on the subject!!
Great ideas, especially the one for shorter hair! I'm in the Realm of Jealousy though. Your hair is so thick!!! (Yes, your hair is thick, Much thicker than mine, anywho.) I have got to move to your house so I can center those barrettes/ribbons/etc. for you. Or find a way to stick my hands through the camera and center them! I swear it's going to be running commentary for me! My mom used to chase me to center my bows as a kid and I guess it's rubbed off!
