So, 6.5 years after you posted this, I tried it! On my friend. We loved the results. We didn't have pins on hand (we were out and about and the night was young), so we actually weaved some of the plaits/braids ends into other parts of the plaits. It worked so great! Thank you.

Amazing tutorial! Found out halfway through that my hair is a little too thin (and maybe not long enough) for this hairstyle so I left out two of the small braids and luckily that worked out as well. The hairstyle is amazing because it looks very fancy and difficult but in reality it's not too difficult to accomplish. Great job, thanks!
