Honestly I have a soft spot for Stefi Cohen, super tips, I have a very bad knee that keeps on hyperextending and I’m limited to what I can do on leg day, I feel that theses drills are helping me get to where I’m comfortable, I had to come back to make a comment after trying these Great help much appreciated
I feel like you should rename this as a "knee stability routine" cause someone out there is gonna get triggered... knee joint ain't supposed to be a "mobile" joint
The knee should have plenty of mobility with the saggital plane, but be very stable within the frontal and transverse planes =P But yea your point stands in the sense that these routines build strength primarily at the vmo muscle for stability of the knee, so the video should be named as knee stability. Knee mobility work would be more centered around post surgery/injury rehabilitation, and primarily be a ton of flexion and extension movements at the knee joint and probably some manual massaging techniques to break up scar tissue and decrease swelling.
@Jim Bean enjoying all good looking women is about as normal & biological as it gets , we as men need to stop putting ourselves down by using words like "horndogs" for completely normal behavior. If I find a woman attractive, you can bet I'm going to enjoy looking at her whether she likes it or not.
I personally find these exercises useless as they have no actual carry over to a loaded squat . Cueing what you want to accomplish during the actual movement is much more practical and beneficial imo.
Uhm. If you’ve ever suffered from painful knees that take a while to warm up before you can squat comfortably, this will help with not only warming up your knees before the squat, but warming up the muscles, joints, and ligaments to prevent injury. Being able to squat comfortably and for the long term will add numerous pounds to you squat. So yeah, it carries over
@@chrisdart1665 Hmm funnily enough I'm going to take my advice from her, not some random on UA-cam who thinks they know better than a Doctor of Physical Therapy and multiple record holder.
Has anyone had any knee issues? I love squatting but when I do it, I end up with my right knee hurting badly inside when I need to curl my leg, like to go to the floor. If doesn't want to fold and hurts inside badly. Also, if I am sitting with my right knee folded or curled, and I go to get up, it doesn't want to go straight right away, and I limp for a second until it loosens. I am planning to start on bone broth powder to see if that will repair whatever the issue is. Thanks for any information. Just watch Barbell Medicine. This "fix your squat" series is a waste of time, and resources. Want a better squat? Just squat more, with proper technique.
@@rishabhkashyap690 But this isnt about me. It's about the MASSIVE misinformation that's been going on in the fitness industry since social media. I'm not discrediting her records, but if someone very popular has the audience to promote and/or spread evidence-based information, why not do it? I get it, there is A LOT of information out there, and it could be hard to see through bro science and Nocebo that is going around. But come on. @@tobysummers2679 So did you completely disregard what I commented? I think it's a really informative video. Good value. I will do somebof those movements. But she seems so unfriendly... I wouldn't like her as a coach...
The first exercise she does is called a TKE terminal knee extension. It is a good warmup to do no matter what, but especially if you have knee issues.
@Arnold Akbar depends. Did your skin feel warmer?
The assessment from the original video is a Peterson Squat
This is great mobility series! I heard about the sleeve/IPF issue, and you guys are handling it just right!
Six minutes of Stefi Cohen's time is 24 karats of solid training gold. Thank you to everyone involved with making this video.
STefi cohen can kick my ass in the gym anyday, what a cool powerful personality for the sport.

Kellogs Cornflakes to breakfast is a miracle
Steph why don't didn't you make him use the kettle bell. We do learn a lot from your videos
