I learned so much from watching your tutorial on how to work with wet on wet, pulling down on the brush and just so many details I really didn't know. Thanks so much. Beautiful Tulips!!
Great lesson! You capture the look of real tulips the best of anyone! Most make the stems too skinny and too squiggly. Great job all around. I’m so proud of the ones I painted and you made it so easy.
I love painting detailed flowers!! I love your flower videos, please do more videos like this is the future!! Love your videos.
Such a great video and I learned so much. I struggle with tulips, this was super helpful!
Beautiful. You are an amazing artist. You explain so thoroughly. Your brush control looks so effortless. I hope someday I will be able to control my brush and color at least half as good. Thank you for all your wonderful UA-cam’s.
Stunning! I want to paint a tulip greeting card for my daughter's birthday. This tutorial really helped. Thank you!
This is perfect. Would make a nice gift for someone who is shut in to enjoy in their home. In a little mat and frame. Just a suggestion. Love the video.
I have seen some tulips where the stem is taller than the leaf but yours gives a better composition and I have seen them that way as well. I love tulips and have played with painting them so thank you, thank you, thank you for this tutorial!! It really helps me to up my game on those flowers!
These came out so beautifully 😍 ❤️ Purple is my Ultimate favorite color.. I have purple and black fancy tulips... the critters move them around the yard- I don't pull my bulbs, so, my gardens are Almost nurseries now 😀
This spring, I'll be posting flower photos for free reference.. I figure, why not. I have a wide variety of bulb plants, and a pond... my own 'retreat'..
I am really enjoying this “Detailed Flower” series ❣️ I actually prefer these to the looser flowers.
And, I am enjoying your brushes 🥰 I was able to snag a set before they sold out🙏
I am enjoying ur detailed version of flowers.. so beautifully illustrated and taught ❤️❤️
It’s so refreshing to see paintings of spring flowers! Your tulips are lovely! Thank you for the explaining as you go along.
Awesome video.... These floral tutorials are very helpful because they're good-looking but not too difficult to paint, unlike animals and landscapes and portraits
Looking forward to trying this one! I am painting a bouquet for a friend and it has 1 large white tulip in it and a few tulip leaves. Very helpful! Thank you!
Awesome and beautiful hard work i.e. drawing and teaching at the same time. Thank you. Please keep it on.
I picked up a tip from this video that has helped me so much!!!! On the second layer of the side petals, after you added dark pigment to the bottom of the wet petal, you said to drag color towards the bottom to prevent blooms near the top. This is anti-intuitive for me, but of course you’re the master teacher! Thanks for what you do for beginners’ confidence. And please, as others on Patreon have mentioned, take it easy when you need/want to. Your fans aren’t going anywhere. 😎
What an awesome tutorial. I am a real beginner, but I felt that you explained it so well that I am so anxious to try it out. Thank you so very much for sharing your gift with us, it brings a lot of peace and joy into our lives . .
Emma I love Tulips and you are doing great
I really like delving into the details of the flowers. I am looking forward to more of these. Thank you.
I loved doing this paining! I second, third, and so one all of the others that say they loved the instruction and great teaching on the details. Loved the vibrant colors and the simplicity of paining one type of flower. I also second on the veins!! It adds so much to the paining. Loved learning that!
So so pretty! Loving the color!! I seem to really struggle with detailed florals. Thanks so much for the video!
Thank you for explaining so thoroughly. I for one need that.
This video was extremely helpful. It addressed lots of issues that I've been having, some of which I didn't know I was having! Thanks
Yay! I have been struggling with tulips sense I started watercolors at the start of the pandemic. I am so glad you did a video on them. Thank you!
Gorgeous tulips Emma
Enjoyed watching and learning.
Thank you
You are on a roll! Thank you for so many beautiful watercolors. I appreciate that you don't move too fast so I can (almost) keep up with you!
I think your painting is brilliant 😍😍😍
Thank you for that vein detail. I would totally love it if one day you would do an entire video just explaining how to add all the various petal details. Like vein direction, and the small triangular parts on the edge of a petal coming down into the flower....how many veins is not enough....how many is too many ....all that sort of thing. I've been struggling with it for a while. Also I guess it's best, from just watching you, to add the detail to dry not wet paint. thanks Emma (Jane), :-)
Me*2 🌹
You always make everything seem so easy. Thanks for all your videos. I’m learning a lot.
Beautiful and so helpful. Thanks, Emma.
BEAUTIFUL! Tulips are my favorite. glad you shared
Where were you when I was just a beginner? Great explanation and breakdown of the steps.
Emma Jane you are incredibly talented! I can only hope and dream that I can learn to paint like you!! Thank you so much for sharing all your tips in such detail to help people like me learn.🥰
Emma, this week’s videos have been so helpful for me! I hadn’t realised before how often I needed to dry off my brush and how to move and blend the pigment. I know I need to practice, but I can already see a difference in my work. Thank you so much!
Great tutorial, Emma! Beautifully illustrated and painted!
Thank you! These are delightful. I appreciate the drawing lesson every time. Super helpful
very pretty!
Beautiful! Love the veining. Love more like these
Thanks for explaining the blending technique and the control of the water on the brush which I'm having trouble with.
I love these single flower studies, more please. 💗
Gorgeous tulips!! Thank you for another great tutorial Emma ✌🏼🎨
Love both this and the Cosmos!
This was amazing! Always wanted to learn in detail how to achieve the blends, lines….excited to jump right in 🌷 😊Thank you Emma❤️
I watched till the end and I will give it a try!! I’m so excited!! Let’s hope it comes close of what you did and not like my other attempts.
Thank you for the detailed tutorial. Like all your tutorials.
Love these videos Emma! I did the Cosmo and now gonna try my luck at the tulips 🌷😍 thanks so much!
This seems like a great way to practice water control. I think trying to blend out with a brush that's too damp may the the mistake I make most often. 😊
I was looking for easy tulips to do, because I've only been doing watercolor for a couple of weeks. I really like this video and your channel! Thank you for sharing! I'm off to find your Instagram page! 🖌💜
I’m going to try this tomorrow!
So beautiful. Thank you❤❤❤
Love this lesson!! Beautiful tulips! Can't wait to try, tulips are hard for me, but this is so helpful! thx u!
Amazing! You are so talented Emma🌷🌷🌷🌷

So lovely ❤️🦋
Beautiful! Awesome video! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
Just beautiful! Thank you!
Beautiful and easy to follow you , thanks so much xoxo
Super beautiful!
Love the tulips 🌷 ❤️! JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
Thank you
Beautiful
🌷🌷🌷 Such pretty work!
Beautiful!
Beautiful and inspiring...
lovely
I have tried the tulips….twice. Great tutorial! I just can’t seem to get the depth of color that you get. Could it be the difference in paint? I am using a Windsor & Newton pan set. Should I get the professional paints to get that deep coloring? I am loving all your tutorials!
You are my fave!
So pretty!
I have a question, anyone can answer, I would truly appreciate it.
Can I mix winsor newton cotman paints with winsor newton professional? I'm switching over and I don't feel good about wasting my cotman paints.
Thanks in advance.💜
Yes you can :)
Thank You...
Loved painting these with you! Just one question…. How do you bring the color all the way down the leaves smoothly?
If I wanted to add a third tulip where would I put it and the leaf?
Awesome!
Can you tell me what the average longevity of your Emma Lefebvre brushes? If they're used for a couple hours a day and properly taken care of would they last a year and keep the point?
Thank you! I have a question. When do you re wet the area vs paint right on top. The petals vs the leaves
You can do it either way really. I find it can sometimes be easier to wet the area first to help blend it out a bit easier, it also stays wets a bit longer. Try both ways and see which is more comfortable for you!
@@EmmaLefebvre ThankYou. I keep trying!
Do you ever use a hairdryer?
Cool
This is right what I’m looking forward!
Thank you!
I feel like you make way more shadows than you tell us about? Maybe it comes natural for you. Mine is way less 3d. Can you make a video about that?
Emma Jane, do you stretch your paper at all? I’ve just ordered my first two pads of Arches cold pressed 100% cotton 300gsm paper and hope I don’t have to pre stretch it…it’s difficult to do - I’ve not yet succeeded 😕
I never have :)
Thanks for that! Good to know!😊😊😊
Can you help.. I am trying water colour but having trouble with the card I use as it goes very matted.
What supplies do you have?
@@EmmaLefebvre thank you for your reply. I am just using water colour card. I have looked on Amazon to see what you are using and I think it must be better quality then mine.
عالی🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹
