I would buy 295/65r18 tires, change to a 3.42 diff ratio, and a Borla S-Type cat back exhaust system if I wanted the AT4X. To me it's a 75K max price truck with the options mentioned in the video. I would chose the Silverado ZR2 over a AT4X, with a Borla S-Type cat back exhaust system, 35x12.50r17 tires, and 17x8.5 Method Bead Grip wheels.
If you want 37's and supercharging, buy a TRX. I bought an AT4-X for 2000 mile road trips where I cross desert, mountain and snow. Lots of mushy/bumpy/icy gravel roads which I take with complete confidence and comfort. Wife likes it. All boxes checked.
You think? I'm still undecided myself. I really like the Canyon AT4X and the Colorado Desert Boss. My lease is up in about a year and want a decent overlanding rig..
I started looking at the AT4X. It would be my first GMC truck coming over from a Gladiator. First impression seeing it in person was I just wanted more. Loved the interior and the finishes inside. But it wasn’t enough off road truck for me. Went and saw the gen 3 raptor and obviously fell in love with it. For weeks now I’ve been waiting to put my order in for the raptor. Yesterday GMC announced the AT4X AEV and it blew me away. Exactly what I was looking for! Really hope to see it soon.
@@jimmyteter I think the opposite. I have 3 jeeps, all built as rock crawler/overland builds. The AEV AT4X seems like exactly the perfect fit for me. I think the nailed the steel bumper look.
At 82k I would have thought they would've included a choice of interior colors as well as a power bump since there is roughly a $20k price between it and the standard AT4.
I got the 2023 Desert Sand Metallic AT4 with all options and Duramax Diesel as I prefer fuel economy verse power and off road ability. I traded my 2021 GMC AT4 3500 Diesel since I no longer needed it for towing, best MPG on the highway with 3500 is 24mpg, the 1500 does so much better getting 32.5 so far with just over 1100 miles. Nice review, but interested to see if you will do a comparison on the reg AT4.
It's so badass it's like an off road denali I'm definitely liking the AT4X I think that truck would fit me better for luxury than the denali ultimate honestly. Especially for towing my horse AT4X is a big game changer too even though it doesn't have the super cruise oh well I think it's still definitely worth it.
Even a 3:42, or 3:73 axle ratio would really make it quick. I have the same truck in At4 and am satisfied, because I also have a C7 ZO6, so I have never considered a truck as a race vehicle.
I drive a 2020 Silverado 1500 and I love it. Got a v8 6.2L and I added 35x12.5 with 18 fuel wheels. But this is getting frustrating. Ford, Ram and even Toyota are stepping up their game and producing high end trucks. The ZR2 and AT4x would be a complete purchase if 35's were an option. It seems GM is getting lazy or they just don't give a damn. It's like they're just coasting until the fed mandate EV. If I'm spending top dollar for a truck, I'm not buying GM. Just my opinion
Not a GM fan, but I can tell this truck is over priced by about 20K! The sound system is nice, but vehicle is lacking on shocks, horsepower, and tires.

Much better than the new Tundra

Anything is better then a new tundra 😊
The AT4X is not better then the new Tundra

The AEV trucks are so damn ugly though. Not worth the 5k IMO.

At4 starts at 69k
@@txkingg no it doesn’t. It starts at $65k.

I agree, love that color plus should have at least 3.42's if not 3.73. Can't get the 4.10 in a 1/2 these days.
GMC built a cool truck love it love what they did to grill like the color on it

One of my favorite GMC trucks 🙌

Only 1300 lbs of payload? That leaf pack looks like it came off a 2500 or heavy half!
I like the Looks there is no doubt but I lost my faith in GM and can't bring myself to ever buy one again. Ben I'd get Blue!
Why?
Very nice truck! Has GM fixed or even addressed the lifter failure problems on the 5.3 & 6.2 liter engines?

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X Crew Cab 4X4!
Nice.
Do not like that electronic console mounted shifter.
I would take this truck home with me
Damn what’s with these high ass truck prices
Ben, when will the AEV version be available?
Hey Ben, are you able to to a night review on the new refreshed truck?
Brand new car and the top glove box button already stuck 😆 boi oo booii..spicy...😆
Ben were those tires loud on the road when you drove the truck?
80k I’ll go with the raptor or trx
Why did your dash display say AT4 instead of AT4X when you cranked it up?
Ben has found the red arrow feature in MS paint.
LOL
Am i tripping or is the interior the exact same as a silverado high country
At this price, I think a 35 raptor is a better buy
You’ll suffer heavily on the sound system, Ford is the worst in the business!
@@erikracz4162 I have the B&O not the unleashes but it was a paid upgrade sounds blah not impressed with it. I like the truck though lariat powerboost
have fun with that dealer markup
Ben....do you think the big three are bigger inside then the new tundra?
By a little
Those aren't fender flairs Ben..just black plastic that should be painted body color
That’s raptor msrp
Is it fair to say that my 2016 escalade platinum has all the same gadgets and more than this brand new gmc
Just get a Denali and call it a day....99.9% of these trucks are grocery getters....lol
gotta flex in costco parking lots my guy
@@elcuh9506 lol, so true !
Buenas
Awful gear ratio and towing capacity. Otherwise a nice looking truck.
GM...always too little too late.
👍👍
Hairy leg season.
Haha
